A projectile was hurled directly at my face while driving on I-80 near Cutting in Richmond Wednesday evening June 17th around 6:30pm, smashing my windshield and bouncing off. After reporting it to CHP, I called my AAA membership who could only offer a Safelite next Tuesday appointment in San Rafeal or the following Friday to fix it at home. Had AAA just told me to find a nearby business to fix my windshield, I would not have spent 2 hours navigating their phone trees to complain about their lousy service. When I googled this opened business at 8:30 pm, they offered me a next day appointment at their shop and this morning found an opening at my doorstep. It was replaced by 12:00 noon and they included an unasked $25.00 coupon to boot! They also arranged the $250.00 deductabile when I couldn't find a real AAA person to help. Bravo!! read more

Incredible! Stupendous! I can not say enough good things about this business. I have a 1994 BMW 740iL. I'd searched bay area businesses for a quote to replace my windshield which also needed the molding and clips. I got a $400+ quote for just the molding and clips from the BMW Freemont Dealer. I got a $600 quote for windshield and mold/clips from a BMW repair service. I got the best reasonable quote from Auto Glass Express!! The remarkably qualified team that installed the windshield found a way to replace my windshield and the special molding for a remarkable price. I am stunned, happy and relieved. Typical story, 10 cars broken into one Saturday night on Alameda Street adjacent to the SF Nightclub MIGHTY -- located in an industrial zone one block away from a large homeless encampment. No paid parking lots nearby. Beware.... Oh, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the pro-diversity advocates for helping facilitate this experience -- oh, excuse me, I guess it could have been some yuppie that broke into those cars. Nevamind. But. I digress... Having your window smashed out is quite a bummer. But how pleasant it was to see all these positive yelp reviews for this auto glass company. To them I add my 5 star review. This company did me great. They actually have office hours on Sunday (to my surprise). I called them and booked an appt for Monday. I drove to their fix-it space in Berkeley, and in 1 hour, my window was replaced and I was heading back home. My job cost less than $150. I was mislead by the 5 star reviews with Auto Glass Express as my visit to this shop was a complete disaster. I felt completely disrespected, insulted, and mistreated. I took my Scion FR-S for glass repair. During the process of repair, the technician Elver damaged my passenger side door, leaving dents and paint cracking around the area. I was no doubt upset, to my disbelief, Elver was rude and unprofessional, he gave no apology nor did he show any sign of remorse, instead he actually complained about the fact that he will now have to compensate for damages, arguing with me that my car was fragile and easily damaged. During the repair process, he was on his earphones, he used some sort of screw driver type of medium to scrape off the glass from a thin crack between two components of the door panel. Why he did not remove the component and why he did not use a vacuum (as I would assume this be more appropriate) to suck out the glass in the crack was beyond my understanding. In the end he dented the door panel outwards so much that the paint cracked from scraping glass from the seam. When the owner, Ladan arrived to this scene, she was an even more unbelievable negative experience. She accused me of making up lies about the damage that Elver had caused and using the opportunity to milk money, even to claim that I was being fraudulent to my insurance company when I filed a claim against them. She also commented that it was sad and picky of me to care so much about my car before leaving the scene. Of course I'd be picky and upset! You just damaged my car!! What did you expect honestly? Ridiculous.. I was extremely furious with this mistreatment, unprofessionalism, found this to be totally unacceptable behavior. I deeply regret coming to Auto Glass Express, I would not recommend to anyone. The owner, Ladan was a truly disrespectful woman with negativity filled inside her. Making false accusations, assumptions, and jumping to conclusions. All in all, from all this negativity, I do have to say that Mark, the co-owner was nice and courteous during my visit. EDIT: In response to Ladan, the communications with my insurance was always done under the understanding that the insurance would step in ONLY if we could not come to a third party settlement on our own. There was never any shouting/attempt at paying "double" to begin with, and that is just the perfect example of the bad attitude, falsely accusing, and jumping to conclusions which I mentioned above. Wow what can I say but Yelp does it again! I had a rock that hit my windshield and it just cracked... Nice big Suburban windshield. I first called Safelite and got a quote but it was a terrible experience.. oh you want the rain sensor (yes I want my car to work just like it did), oh and do you want the shade at the top of the windshield.. um.. YES I want it to look just like it looks now... And slowly the price went up and my confidence went down. I then called Auto Glass Express.. what a different experience -- Simple question.. do you want the windshield to look like it does now.. Yes.. Great... Can you come in today... Sure... perfect here is the price all inclusive. I checked, you have it in stock today? Yes it will be here when you come... I drove in left my keys, went for a 1 block walk to a great coffee shop. Auto Glass Express called in 90 minutes.. it was ready.. walked back.. got charged exactly what they quoted (which was $120 less than Safelite)... Very very happy camper here. read more

I called and they give me appointment for the next day and they were very nice over the phone explained me the process and they were ok that I will not be present and I'll send one of my firends. First and foremost, it really sucks to have your window broken out. We had our car vandalized (although nothing was taken - thank goodness!), and the rear passenger-side window was broken out. Glass got everywhere in the car (and outside). To add extra stress to an already stressful situation, a major storm was supposed to hit within the next few days (and I really didn't want our car to become a pool). First, I called around to the local Toyota dealerships and they were both a) not very customer friendly and b) very expensive. When I explained my situation, they basically said: "Yep, that's sad." I was willing to pay their exorbitant costs as long as it could be done before the storm hit; I even offered extra to have the glass shipped priority so it could be done first thing in the morning. I was told, by three different service centers - nope. Because my Toyota was an older model, it would take 2-3 days AT LEAST to get the glass. I was really stressed at this point. At this point, I decided to use my favorite resource to try and find help - YELP! The first company that popped up on my search list was Auto Glass Express, and boy was I glad it did! I gave them a call and was immediately impressed with the level of customer service (including empathy for my situation - thank you!). They took all of my information and rather than leave me on hold for 10 minutes, asked to give me a call back with a quote. In less than 5 minutes, I was called back with a quote that was less than 1/2 of what the Toyota dealership was asking! I was greatly pleased with both the quote and customer service at this point, but I was resigned to not having the work done for days and having to find a place to store my car until they could get the glass and fix it. That's when she told me they had the glass in-stock and could get to it first thing in the morning (9am) - keeping in mind I had called them about 2:30pm. I was floored. I think I actually squealed like a 7-year-old girl and said "That would be wonderful!" The "icing" was that they were going to come right to my house to do the repair! At 9am, Mark arrived and immediately set to work fixing up the window. He was fast, efficient and very professional in getting the new glass in. It took about 75 minutes from start to finish, mostly because he had to take the inside of the door completely apart (and rebuild it). When he was done, he completely vacuumed all of the broken glass up from the car and even got the glass that was on the sidewalk that I missed! Auto Glass Express helped me with this very stressful and unfortunate experience professionally with wonderful customer service and support. I really hope that I never have to go through it again - but if I do, they will be the first ones I call! Thank you so much! read more

The back passenger-side window of my Honda CRV was smashed in late last night. I called Auto Glass Express this morning at 8:15am, got a very reasonable quote and an appointment to drop off my car at noon. (In fact, they offered me a 9:30am appointment but I had a time conflict.) Dropped my car off, walked down to Local 123 for a cup of coffee and computer time, got a call from AGE within an hour letting me know that my car was ready to go. $145 for parts & labor and less than 24 hours later, my car is as good as new. ...Well, maybe not as good as NEW, but as good as it was before, plus a window that is very distinctly cleaner than the other three windows. They even vacuumed up all of the broken glass inside the car, which was a lovely surprise that made me want to hug and kiss them all. Honda 2008 V6 4 Door. The driver side door window was broken because someone broken into my car. I researched a lot before I came across Auto Glass Express. The lady I talked to, Ladan I think, was very friendly and business savvy. She was knowledgeable about all car brands in the market, and gave me the best pricing I could get from anywhere. Even better than my own mechanic! I ordered the original Honda brand, and even then, her pricing was the better than Honda itself. I paid extra for the Honda brand printed on my window, but I could have gotten the exact same window without the Honda logo, but from the same manufacturer that supplies Honda and Toyota for half price. If you do not care about the logo, and you want to have the same quality, I suggest getting the brand she suggests. It does not make any difference to them because she will place the part order based on you preference, and charge you for labor. (I know because I knew the Original Honda Part price from Honda directly, and from third party providers on line). I placed an order with her, and she sent Elver to my door the next day on a Saturday (2/9/2013). Elver called me in advance and let me know that he was going to be a little late due to some work related delay. Elver was professional once he arrived. He knew what he was doing, and he was extra careful not to damage my car any further (the thief, who broke in to my car, had glass scattered all over my leather seats in front and back). I observed Elver while he carefully removed the remains of the broken window from inside door panel, and vacuumed seats and carpets of my car. After Elver left, my glass window was as good as new. I am writing this review on March 13, 2013, and I have not had any issues with my window so far. I highly recommend their business because: 1) Their knowledge of the parts available in the market (apparently it runs in the family I heard) 2) They are business savvy: They love your business, and they will get it. Hard to do business with someone else, once you spoke with Ladan. 3) The are very nice, friendly, and accommodating. 4) Elver knows about car glasses. 5) Elver does a clean job 6) Their price is the best for what you get: The quality part you order, they come to you if you are in their service area, they do a clean job, and most importantly, they are fair and honest. The only thing they could improve in my case was the timing: About an hour or two before my appointment time, I got a call about the delay. As a result, I stayed home about an hour more than I anticipated, which was not that bad, I was home and had things to do. The delay could have been random and rare. Overall, I would do business with them in future, and would send my friends to them, but I really hope not to have any broken glass in the future. I hope my review helps. This shop was great! Friendly, fast and reasonably priced. My windshield cracked in the summer heat, sitting in our driveway. I called Auto Glass Express for a quote on Wednesday afternoon, and by 11am Thursday I had a new windshield installed. The process took about an hour, it was the cheapest of the 3 quotes I got, and the new windshield looks great. I found Auto Glass Express on Yelp while researching companies that could repair a couple of chips in my windshield. I called them at noon today, and was told I could bring in my son's car at 3:30 this afternoon. Ladan quoted me $50 for the 1st chip, and $10 for the second. I was greeted by a very friendly technician (sorry I didn't catch his name) who immediately went to work on car. 30-45 minutes later he was done (long enough for me to walk over to Everett Jones to pick up some BBQ!) Both he and Ladan were so helpful and friendly. They explained that if, for any reason, the repair should fail and the windshield continue to crack, they would apply the cost of the repair towards replacing it with a new windshield. (An estimate for a new windshield for my Toyota Camry was in the low $200 range, as they use after-market glass from a company that also proves windshields to car dealers.) As he gave me back my keys, the technician mentioned it looked like a repair had already been done/attempted on one of the cracks (which I hadn't realized), so that he was taking $10 off of my bill. I thought this was extremely generous, as he had gone ahead and done the repair, but, based on the results, surmised that a repair had already been attempted. Ladan and her husband own the company. Based on the time I spent in the office, I could tell they run a top-notch business - friendly, efficient, and professional. (The three cute little dogs that some of the staff bring to work were an added bonus!) Although you have to bring in your car for chip repair, they have a mobile service for auto glass replacement. I hope I don't ever need new auto glass, but if I do, they'll be the first people I call! read more

I had a chip repair in two of my cars windshield. Mark was the one that did the job. At first, I did not expect that the chip would be greatly diminished after the repair but after he fixed it, it looks like the chip was never there. On top of that I save money because I don't have to replace the whole windshield and you really dont have to change your windshiled unless it is a big crack. thiis type of repair gets the job done and prevents it from turning to a crack. After having the terrible experience my window smashed into (but not completely), it was held together by the tint and was left sitting on my passenger side seat. As a poor college student, this was an experience I never wanted to go through. However, the service and hospitality from both the front desk and the mechanics were exceptional. I was able to get a quote on the spot and had my window fixed for under $200 and within in hour, after making an appointment. My friend had originally recommended me to call Safelite, but that was too much of a hassle. I found this business through Yelp with excellent ratings. A tire tread blew off a truck in front of us on 680 and smashed into our windshield so it needed to be replaced. Once again, the 5 star rating was accurate. I got a quote over the phone from LaDon and Carlos came out to my home on-time as scheduled and did an excellent job! I paid $20 extra for a travel fee since I am out of their service area (I live in Danville/WC area) but it was totally worth it knowing the service would be top notch.
