They said they had to send it back because they couldn't certify it. I thought, that's reassuring. They did show me a car that was a little more expensive but with all the options, I was impressed with the vehicle and went forward with the sale. There was one thing I didn't like, they used the rush tactic on me by telling me someone else was there to buy the car despite having started the work to get me into the vehicle. I was told money on the door get first dibs. I'm a man of my word, so that rubbed me the wrong way. Other than that, I have to say they made the process relatively easy. They worked with me to get the best deal possible. I was in a rush to get out the door after doing the paper work. They needed to take care of somethings on the car to ensure it was in tip top shape. They offered to deliver the car to my door. There is no better feeling than seeing your beautiful car pull up in your driveway! I had a great experience and I will definitely go back for my next car. Our sales rep, Jamaal, was fantastic and did everything he could to provide a fair service; but once we go to talking numbers with the manager everything went horribly downhill. They tried to tack on over $6k in dealer fees on a $20k pickup truck which is just absurd so I walked away from the deal. I communicated with them a bit following the initial test drive and we were able to come to an agreement on the price over the phone. I cancelled my other plans for the day (Christmas Eve) to go and get the truck. When I arrived they had the paperwork ready and the vehicle was being detailed. All of a sudden, mid signing, the manager comes over and says "we have a problem." Apparently, for some reason that the manager, Amal, would not share with me; the owner decided he did not want to sell me the vehicle. Was just told "sorry, nothing I can do" Seems super shady and whoever the owner here is lacks some major customer service perspective. I am trying to have a positive outlook but it's hard not to feel like this has totally ruined the holiday for me. After seeing all of the other negative reviews here I would highly recommend against buying a vehicle from this dealer.

From the very beginning, the experience was unacceptable. The vehicle had several issues at the time of purchase, and I was told they would be addressed the following morning. When I arrived after 12 PM the next day, the van had not even been touched. I waited over four hours, and nothing was repaired. One of the main issues was with the air conditioning (AC). Because it happened to be raining and cooler outside that day, the AC seemed to function better temporarily. The dealership falsely claimed they had fixed the problem. The very next day, when I drove the van, the AC failed again. I took it to a mechanic, who discovered a cracked hose that needed replacement--an issue not covered under warranty. As a result, I had to pay out of pocket just two days after purchasing the vehicle. The problems didn't stop there. After my temporary license plate expired, I was told the van had to be re-inspected before I could receive another temporary tag. On September 10, the dealership claimed they had my permanent plates and would pick up the van to install them, perform an alignment, and fill the gas tank as an "apology" for the inconvenience. They collected the van in the morning, but by 7 PM I had heard nothing. The manager pretended he had been trying to contact me when, in reality, I had received no updates. I had to threaten to come to the dealership in person before they finally returned my van that evening--with no alignment, no gas, and still no permanent tags. I was promised that my plates would be delivered on September 11, but again, I received no communication. I did not get my tags until September 25--a full five months after my original purchase. During this time, I lost business contracts because I was unable to operate legally without proper registration. This dealership is the worst, most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. They are dishonest, unreliable, and provide no meaningful customer service or accountability. As reflected in my text message records, I had to chase them for every update and was consistently misled. I am now seeking legal counsel due to the financial and professional harm caused by their negligence. Be extremely cautious before doing business here.

The work performed is always done with professionalism and in a timely manner, and I have been provided with loaners and rideshares in certain circumstances. My problem is with the cost. I have a 2016 Rav4 hybrid that I take good care of. I drive approximately 12,000 miles each year, and have the vehicle serviced every six months. I generally accept any service that is deemed "critical." Since May 2023 -- so, a span of 7 scheduled visits and two emergency appointments, one electrical (rats) and one hose disconnection (minimal cost) -- I have spent over $10,500. This total does not include two of those visits, for which the paperwork is missing from my inbox. On average, I have spent $1,166 per visit, and possibly quite a bit more. Consumer Reports estimates that Toyotas accrue $4,900 in maintenance costs between years 6 and 10. I keep thinking that one day, my costs will revert to the mean, but each appointment is setting me back significantly -- $2,496 in November and $2,350 today (April, 2026). This was after being quoted around $800 for several recommended services, and then being told a tie rod had broken and both tie rods also needed replacing -- a $1,700 cost, which was thankfully reduced a bit (thank you). I just don't think that is a good or fair deal, and will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

I found Carsmart because my wife and I were looking for a specific model car and through online searching it appeared that this place was one of the only in the area that had it and it was a really good deal. So good we were a little concerned. So I called the office to ask a few questions. The receptionist attempted to answer my questions but was clearly unknowledgable in the process. In fact, she gave out information that was flat out wrong. For example, I was looking at a Hyundai and I asked her if the 100,000 mile warranty transferred. She confidentally said yes it does. So I called Hyundai directly and was explained that only a 60,000 mile warranty transfers. She could have found this in a quick google search like I did rather than lie to me. Next I asked if I could get the car checked at a mechanic prior to buying. She told me the manager would call me back. No response.... Anyway, I still wanted to check out the car. So we made an appointment with Ismael and drove 45 minutes to see it. When we got there Ismael was not to be found so we were sent to Aaron Jones. The car was there and looked to be in near perfect condition (it was a 2015 with 15,000 miles on it). Some rust on the rotors and some minor scratches was all I saw. I did note that the floor mats were oddly missing and Aaron said he would take care of that. After test drive we decided this was too good of a deal to turn up so we asked for a discount to cover the minor issues with the car. The finance manager told us that since the shop was closed at the time he couldn't get the mechanics to check it again but assured me it had passed inspection. I was able to get him to discount the price by $200 however. Still no word on getting floor mats despite me checking back in 3-4 times on it. Ok, so we agreed on the deal and Aaron was very nice and curteous the entire time. They gave us the keys and said that they would have to check for the spare set in storage. This seemed extremely shady. This dealer only had about 20-30 cars on their lot so storing all the spare keys would take up about as much space as a shoe box. So why would they need to keep them in a different location? Also, how come the key was even separated in the first place? This seemed very odd but at this point was not a deal-breaker. Regarding the car, I did get it checked out right away at a trusted mechanic and they found no hidden issues, so at least I felt comfortable that I bought a solid car. The next day I did receive an automated text message from Aaron wishing me well with my car. I responded by email to Aaron to ask about the still missing floor mats. Silence... I called the dealership and they apparently had no idea of an Aaron that even worked there. Odd. I finally got on the line, after several very confused receptionists passed me along, with another sales manager Ismael. I explained I never got the floor mats and Aaron promised them. Still sounded like no Aaron even worked there. I explained that genuine Hyundai mats were about $75 online. He said he would not get those but I can go to Advance Auto and pick out mats and they would purchase it for me. I said, thats crazy because it would be the same price and I live 45 minutes away. He said he would get back to me and hung up. Silence... So I never heard about about the floor mats. I considered it a wash and just bought my own good quality mats. Fast forward 40 days, I was supposed to have been notified of the permanent plates being ready at the dealer. Seemed like a long time, so I called them. The receptionist confirmed that they were ready for me. Why didn't anyone call me, I ask. She had no idea.... I insist on speaking to a manager and along comes Ismael. I tell him about the terrible customer service I've endured and ask him to please mail me the plates at no charge (they typically charge $20 to do so). He laughed at me and said he would do it as a customer courtesy. I asked about the spare keys and, as expected with a place like this, they did not have it. So end of the day, I got a good deal on a gently used car that was oddly missing floormats and a second key, both of which I had to buy on my own. The customer service at Carsmart makes Comcast look good, hence the deduction of 2 stars. When I got my other car purchased new, I got personal calls from the salesperson to check if I needed anything a few days later. Only an automated text message and no response from Carsmart. And the fact that they deny or are unaware of an employee working for them (they only have about 3-4 employees in the office at one time) is absurd. I am happy about my car but I would never recommend this place to anyone.
