It is not very often that one can write a five star review for an auto repair place. But this one deserves it! I took my Subaru in for a couple of repairs and a tune up before a long road trip. They were quick with a call to explain the pricing and what needed to be done. They had it done in a few hours. I feel so lucky to have found a trustworthy car repair shop! read more

I took my daughter's car there for a state inspection. The Dole brake light was burned out. The manager told me it would be $30 to replace the bulb. Getting access to the bulb took longer and required more effort than expected. The manager handed me a bill for $65 labor when the job was done and admitted that "they didn't know what they were getting into." When I complained because the labor cost was twice the original quoted cost the manager said that was a "semantic" argument. The labor cost was probably not excessive for the effort expended but it was still a disappointing experience compounded by the grease stains the mechanic left on the back seat. My expectation of mechanics is that they should know what they are getting into and keep their promises or admit up front that they don't know how long the job will take and can't quote the cost. (I am not sure why this review lists me in San Francisco. I live in the Houston area.) read more

I stop by on my lunch to get an inspection. I walked into the office and the gentleman was having lunch which is most definitely understandable but he said I'll be 15 or 20 minutes. I'm gonna have my lunch and then I'll do it. Yeah not something that I'm trying to do on my lunch as well. I'm stopping to give you my business and me having to be put on hold isn't gonna work! Surprised I'm the first review...wohoo. Anyway, this place may not seem like much and if you're just driving down Shephard it's easy to miss. I stopped in to get my car inspected and checked for emissions and they took me in right away. I had an issue with not having the right insurance printed off but the owner was patient and waited until I called the insurance Co and had them fax him a copy. He checked my car pretty quickly and did a thorough job. He didn't try to push any services or products even though he could have (my car squeals and my wipers are going). Instead he handed me my keys and told me he'd love to have me back as a customer (ive heard yhe service is speedy and friendly). read more

Super friendly and fast service. I came to get my car inspection done 30 minutes before they closed, horrible I know, but I called ahead of time and they said it's not a problem. They checked and inspected my car within 15-20 minutes and I was out the door. The gentleman assisting me even double checked my oil service light because it doesn't stay turned off after I change my oil (it's an old car) and gave me some tips on taking care of it longer. Cherry on top? I walked in and it was super hot and before he took my car keys or anything he handed me a cold bottle of water. read more

Auto Expertees is an honest, full service repair shop. Doug, the owner, has kept my Lexus running great for more than 10 years now. If I need a repair, Doug is very direct in recommending the correct repair but if I can avoid a repair, he gives me the truth about any risk in delaying the repair. I actually wish he would charge more because I want him to stay in business for a lot longer to keep my car running at its peak performance. I usually try to make an appointment so that I know my repair can be done when I need it but Doug always tries to work me in if I just drop in on him unannounced. Took my car here and they did an amazing job. My car was leaking oil and I took it to a different place where I was told they couldn't fix it and did a horrible job trying to stop the leak. I decided to take my car here to Auto Expertees and they found the source of my leak and fixed it in a timely manner and at a very good price too. I recommend them 100%. read more
