Other body shops told me that the car should be totalled and this was a hard fix. When I took it to Rally Auto Body they said they could easily fix it and it would look perfect. I dropped it off there and the car was ready within the week. It looked perfect! I couldn't even tell what was damaged in the past. It looked brand new! Plenty of places in Brooklyn have lots of bad reviews, so I went with Malibu due to their lack of abundantly bad reviews. Diagnosed as a rat-chewed wiring harness. Estimated at $390 to fix, which is exactly what I paid. Bit skeptical around how much work/time was actually involved (e.g., I'm a dude who knows nothing about cars & it could have just been a loose ECM wiring plug or a single chewed wire), but at the end of the day, my car is now running perfectly & I didn't have to spend $1k+, so I don't really care how much time actually went into it. Full wiring harness replacements can be thousands of dollars. Also got a tire patched and swapped out for $20, which is cheaper than what a tire repair shop would have charged. Great communication & updates... called in the AM for drop off via tow truck & they promptly kept me updated on progress throughout the day and notified me immediately when my car was ready. Also worth noting (which is pretty reasonable) -- they charge a daily car storage fee once work is done after 24 hours. My dream of not having to deal with street sweeping for a week was unfortunately shattered pretty quickly because they were so quick. Another reason I went with Malibu is because they have a spacious workspace that can hold a lot of cars -- lots of other repair shops have 1-2 lifts in what's effectively a residential sized two car garage. Malibu has a massively sized car warehouse that can hold multiple cars being worked on, and has space for other cars around still. Entire staff is eastern euro (not sure the specific flavor), but they were friendly. I picked my car up right at closing, and got blasted with cig smoke in the garage, which felt appropriate for a car shop closing up for the day. 5/5, would come back!

If there ever was an example of that, it couldn't have been better exemplified than by my experience, from the time I scheduled my appointment, had it confirmed, pulled into the lot and until the time my car was finished and outside the gates, at Koplin Auto Body. Tucked away in Elizabeth, New Jersey is this inconspicuous and divine body shop, where the work performed and the customer service is truly incomparable. I've had work performed on my cars In at least six states. No one comes close to Koplin Auto Body! Who would think that just a couple miles from Newark airport, would be an incredible five-star service delight. Forget about the Caliber Collisions of the world and even dealer body shops. Nobody has paid more attention to detail and exceeded my expectations than Koplin. With an outstanding team, led by Adele (I think the only thing this one can't do is sell out stadiums) and initiated by Mirian, my car was finished perfectly in 1/4 of the time than it would've taken at Mercedes (of Brooklyn) from past experience, where they cut corners and run up labor costs. Previously at Caliber Collision, the insurance company inspector noticed Caliber missed several critical places, that were clearly visible, in their estimate. That's a red flag for incompetence! It doesn't take a genius to wonder how Caliber Collision and other chains, the Mercedes (of Brooklyn) of the world, with their beautiful buildings and interiors decorated with style... that's what you're paying for- NOT a perfectly repaired car and spectacular service! At Koplin, "[their] goal is great customer satisfaction" and they "thank you for your business". Koplin Auto Body... THANK YOU! Anyone who lives within a 30 mile plus radius of Koplin would be foolish to use anyone else. GEICO and Enterprise are located on the property. I had a business trip, while the work was performed. They drove me to Newark airport and picked me up from Newark airport! You can't get better service than that! Geico is my insurance company and I used their "Auto Repair Xpress" service, performed perfectly with precision and care by Noel. The mechanic calls me and tells me that some parts were so rusted out on the wheel locks that he had to brake em. He told me he can order it and it will be cheaper than me ordering it online. He also did mention if i wanted to seal some of the parts underneath the car since it looked like everything was worn out i said sure no problem. After the car having like 2 weeks in the shop he then calls me to tell me that the vehicle is ready to be picked up. I went to pick the car with my friend and when the bill paper came out he gives me a bill off $1,780. How in the world we spoke at $900 and you charge me the double amount, Spoke to me multiple times on the phone and never mentioned that the bill has highly increased like that. I would of understand if i get charged and as the bill is getting higher he lets me know i mean i would think thats the right thing to do.
