When I first got my 2014 chevy equinox from them I had left a great review. Well the day I got it the ABS , break & traction light all came on. After 3 weeks it was finally fixed. Then it started misfiring. That led into dying on the highway & red-light's. 3 &1/2 years of it. Wouldn't throw a engine light on. They wouldn't help. This place doesn't deserve a rating. I literally had the vehicle 5 days, and 15 different lights came on. Put the vehicle in the shop. While in the shop first car pymt due. Reached out to get pymt moved back one week. Granted. Car was in the shop from 5/27 - 5/31. Got home with vehicle and notice a puddle of water and air conditioner was not on. Needless to say coolant on the ground and then coolant level light comes on. Called on the following Monday and car was towed back to the shop. Meanwhile I make arrangements to make first initial payment on 6/6. Account rep agrees to that. Mind you i still haven't been able to enjoy the vehicle since purchasing it due to constantly being in the shop. Get a text saying my vehicle is ready for pickup but I need to make arrangements to make pymt before being able to pick up vehicle. I had already done that. So I called the accounts department because I'm sure this is a mistake being that I've already spoken with them about my pymt. Broad that answers was extremely rude. I immediately ask for a supervisor and I learned quickly why the first broad had the demeanor that she had. These folks didn't give a damn that they have been able to enjoy the vehicle more than I have and I'm the one that has to pay the car payment. I did this purchase strictly out of desperation. Never been a fan of these types of places because the outcome is never good. Even though arrangement was to pay on 6/6 and vehicle ready on 6/4 I'm not able to get the vehicle until I make the payment. They didn't take into consideration at all that I bought a car that I hadn't been able to drive but car note is due. Please people run fast from this place. I called them yesterday , they took down my info.They took my info down but later I saw on the info sheet that they put the wrong year of my bday down and the wrong social security number down. I alerted them down and the never responded to that and we were talking per text msg. They asked for my bank records for the last 3 months which i never heard of. I was told several times they are just waiting on my state Identification which I sent , then something else later, think I was scammed . Funny how most of the reviews are about transmissions going out and not getting help...... There's actually no star to give. I purchased a 2nd car with them in 2018. The 1st yr I had to have the transmission replaced and the following year I had to have the fuel tank replaced. Here it is 2021 and the electrical sys is going out in the car. My key fob hasn't worked in a year. I owe $8,000 on the car and they won't let me trade it in because they say I owe too much. I was told $6,000 and you can trade. So how is $8,000 too much when I've dealt with this piece of crap for 3yrs. I had an accident a few mths ago. The bumper needs to be replaced & there's a dent in the hood & they want to make that part of the reason I can't trade it in. That has nothing to do with the electrical system. DO NOT purchase a car here. I have put too much money into the car plus the payments I make every 2 wks on this piece of crap just to be told that they can't help me. I have good payment history but that doesn't matter as long as Steve Moreno got his commission after selling it to me. I have a portable starter that I have to use everytime I crank my car. My car stalls and blinks on and off while I'm in the car with my kids. They DID not try to help at all. No type of understanding. This company is horrible! Their car that i purchased was in need of repair. They had it in shop for 1 month. I asked for a loaner and they offered a payment delay. However, this was never completed and was never notified. They don't hold up to their word and communication is horrible unless it is in regards to their money then they are all about communication. All i can say is never lease a car from auto city. They will harass you for a paymemts even if you are only one payment behind. My transmission went out and they kept my car for almost 3 weeks only to get it back and a week later the transmission is gone again. I have texted and called these people constantly, and if im lucky I may get a response back. Beware if you get a loaner from the them, they will remotely lock the car meaning shut the engine down and lock the hood and leave you stranded. We bought a car from auto city and happy with it, Took the car in for two repairs one was the transmission rebuild, and the other was an alternator. First the alternator vibrated loose and was just flopping around the engine. They fixed the repair. The other day my transmission had pulled away from the motor it was making a terrible noise. Thought is was a AC clutch it was not. I called the repair shop at auto city as a courtesy not trying to get anything out of anybody. And all the Service manager would say is we're not responsible we're not Liable. Not is everybody OK? Did you get it fixed?What can we do to help. Everyone pay close attention to this review. I have been with this company for going on 4 years now. My first car was a 07 ford Taurus. The car had a few problems through out my 3 year term with it. Then the transmission stopped at 2nd gear. I wanted to finish paying it off to go somewhere else, but with no options, and still 1k left to pay on it, i dragged that car back to get a new one. Don't get me wrong, I got a 2016 ford focus, no problems so far, and only 38k miles on it and didnt have to pay the rest of the Taurus term. Im almost 1 year into my 4 YEAR term. I did how ever have to defer the $500 drive it away today down payment into my next 4/5 car payments. Im a server, so guess what i live off of 99% of? My tips. My husband lost his job and i got behind on almost everything(both our cars, rent, cable, electric, keeping food on the table for my two kids!) but i would always keep payments going even if it wasnt the full amount till i could catch up. Which i did today, Dec 22. I have been called and texted over 50 times, even after telling these people what is going on and setting up a back pay on a few of the next payments. Over 50 times! Not to mention the 3 mail letters ive gotten. This company does not care about you having problems. They dont care about family and needing to keep a vehicle for work, kids school, or idk every day living outside of a 2 mile radius. 10/29/2019 this company lacks professionalism. i was in a wreck where i was rear ended at a red light, the cars back end was damaged but still drive-able, i notified the police, and started the process of rehab due to permanent back injury and a miscarriage due to the impact of the wreck, i notified auto city as well, and explained to them the nature of my injuries and that i was out of work due to this issue but, i was still able to make at-least 150$ payment every week towards the car note and was doing my part to work with insurance company and my own attorneys to get the car repaired and a settlement for pain and suffering. me being a college student i still had income, i had explained that to several reps there at auto city, to which they replied "are you going to have a problem paying for the reminder of the loan", " why cant you make a whole payment of 310$" "im sorry you're frustrated you were in a wreck but we still need our money, so when can you pay the whole balance if not, we can pick the car up" i explained to them my situation AGAIN to no avail. these representatives of auto city are very atrocious and are liars and con artists. the rep inside the company "legal/ review team" made a verbal agreement with me to pay 150$ with her over the phone and then on the 28th of October i could pay 400$, well the 28th came and they still towed my car. the reason for the tow and for the rep breaching auto city verbal agreement on a payment arrangement was because i did not send her my medical records proving my injuries, my miscarriage, and the wreck (which they knew about already because i told them).. i explained to the rep that this was a verbal agreement made over the phone that was recorded and should've been documented. .the lady made me out to be a liar by saying "i never told you that we could accept 400$, i asked for your medical records" to which i told her that me being a law student, was against HIPPA laws and regulations, which both parties can be sued. To add on, they told me i could pay 500 down for the car, and then after i had singed all paper works they then told me the break down of payments, they make you pay 500 upfront, then add an additional 100 to each car note for 5 payments, i was told that after the first 5 payments the car note would go down, but my car note never changed, each time i asked for a break down, the reps would say there is CPI insurance from the lot, i have liability insurance which is what the state of Texas requires, however auto city will still make you pay for the CPI even though it is completely useless. im not sure how this company has remained in business for so long, but then again when you do business shady and screw over peoples lives and money, i guess you know ways around the system. the company is very rude and acts as if life doesn't happen, they want you to make every payment on time with no excuses, which is understandable if we were perfect and humans didn't make any mistakes, **** if i could make these car payments on time every time i wouldn't even do business with them, the cars are cheap and are lemons, the reps are rude liars who mock peoples life struggles. you only get a good 6 months out of the car before it goes to SHIT anyway. Hello just reaching out to let you know I visited your Bukner location where I was to pick up a loaner car, as to where racist remarks, I was assaulted, I was put in harms way of the coronavirus. Kia came out and went over the car correctly for the first time out of receiving 3 loaner cars in a 3 month span. Kia and Keith were without a mask even upon me asking them to where one. Upon entering a building that reads with sign "mask required upon entry". While I was in the loaner car to drive off I remember I need to tell Kia what's wrong with my car as I go in both are still without a mask. I begin to tell Kia what's wrong when Keith jumps in front of her yelling I can now only talk to him, this is fine so I tell him what's wrong with the car, and begin to leave again as to where Keith begins to follow me out (I am still seated in the drivers front side) Keith aggressively reaches into the car over me and pulls out the keys hitting me twice. Upon just asking for my keys to leave because I'm very afraid at this point. He yells he has to test drive my car I tell him it is no need I will get it serviced somewhere else requesting my keys again he hits me and shoved me twice resulting in a cut and bruised finger from him trying to pull my keys from my hand. Auto City/ Easy Credit is the WORST place to purchase a vehicle. They have the worst customer service, every person that I have been in contact with cares nothing of the customer experience. They will leave you on hold for hours and hang up on you. They never keep you updated on repairs you pay for and will charge you for things they didn't fix. The accounting department will say your payments are current or will charge you less for your payment; then call you and tell you, that your behind. When its really their error; they will apologize and offer to offsite their mistake to the end of your bill. As if its okay for them to have made such an error. They will sale you a lemon and promise its luxury. I purchase my car less than a year ago and its the worst decision I made. The staff in office and the service department will say put in a support ticket. You do that and they put a bandage on your concerns and complaints until they arise again. Then act as if you shouldn't be frustrated with them regarding the purchase you made. I bought a 2012 Avenger from Auto City in February 2016. Almost 2 weeks of having it I needed new brakes which they "fixed". Really... The brakes were still squeaking along with when I would cut my car off there was a noise. So finally I'm going down the highway and the the fucking bumper falls off. So me and my kids are sitting on side the damn freeway. I called Terry in Lancaster and she say by the time I send a tow truck we will be closed which shouldn't have matter. Come to find out that damn bumper wasn't on there right. Now keep in mind the contract says they will give you a loaner which is a damn lie. Terry said I didn't qualify for one even though I'm not behind on my car note. Auto City is full of shit and they lie. Them murhafuckers want even give me a loaner to get back and forth to work or my kids to school. Then on top of that. That damn Terry said the noise that she heard is normal. Bitch I pay 470 a month.
