To start, I wrote a review on google in which i will also update: I purchased a 2020 Tuscan Sept 17th,2025 from this dealership. I did my research on this vehicle checking car fax and also reaching out to them via phone before even going into their establishment. On my first phone conversation, i voiced to Gavyn that i was loosing trust in this car search process and i knew what i wanted and i knew exactly how much i wanted to spend in order to make that happen. I didn't want to be sold anything extra (no nonsense packages for 1500 that consisted of car detailing). I wanted a car under a certain milage, newer, and with very few previous owners. i informed him of this before coming to look at this car .The initial process was great, Gavyn was informative and patient considering my bank had made the process a little lengthy. But during that time i was offered to take the vehicle to have a preowned inspection at any aeromechanic of my choosing. I did this the day before purchase. The pre-inspection cost me 200.00$ which was worth it for my piece of mind and looking back it was needed to demonstrate future possible unethical practices!
To note i had come to this dealership at least 4 separate occasions before the purchase was made final. Each time i was able to enter the car after they started it for me. Neither time was any lights on in the vehicle. The day i paid for the inspection ,there was also no lights on in the vehicle and the mechanic provided a complimentary tire rotation and oil change. The mechanic also noted that there was a new engine recently installed in the car, which was a major plus of course. The issues that were noted were minor( issues that could be seen with the eye under the hood). I purchased the car and three days later the check engine light pops on! Assuming this was a minor error such as sensors, I first reached out to the mechanic noting that i paid them for this exact purpose. They informed me that no light in the car was on during inspection and to have the system reset to see if it would pop back on within 30 miles. This could indicate that the system had been reset before the initial inspection and it was now fully rebooting.
I also reached out to MARS to inform them of what was occurring via email. no response. Surely enough... after having the system reset the engine light came back on in 30 miles. I called mars again didn't receive an answer or a call back. I also emailed them (very detailed). In the email, i simply asked if they could hook up the car to their own diagnostic system to see if they were getting the same CATALYTIC CONVERTER code. The owner stated he would do nothing further, he couldn't help me, i had bought the car as is, and that he didn't reset anything. He didn't fail to through in that he hoped i would do business there again.. SMH. I went back to the dealership because i still had to pick up my sticker and a spare tire that was missing from the back.
I didn't even mention the conversation with the owner, but the employee who sold me the car inquired about how i was feeling about it. Highly disappointed was obviously the answer. Gavyn reached out to me after speaking with his boss in which who had agreed for me to bring the car back in to hook it to their machine. Instructions were to come on any day Mon Friday between noon and five but to call or email first. I called 4 days later and was sent to a v-mail each and every time so i emailed asking if i could still bring it in.
Of course no response. I paid another 100$ this time to get a full diagnostics done which should've taken the mechanic 4 hours. He was done in 30 minutes. The CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS BAD and needed to be replaced and soon! The catalytic converter was so bad that it had ruined the previous engine (hence the need for the new one that had been placed) and if it wasn't taken care of soon it was now starting to affect the new engine. 4,000$ worth of repairs in less than 1 month of owning this car! Also the warranty they sold me, strangely enough seemed to cover everything but this part! you cant make this up!
So yeah, if your considering shopping here, it is in my opinion that you choose other places to spend your money. I wish i would've read some of the other reviews myself before buying from them considering they are pretty much stating the same things. At this point I'm still considering if i will take legal action considering this was an as-is-sale, however that means absolutely nothing if it was sold to me under false pretense's. If anyone has any questions about my experience with this dealership please feel free to reach out. I'd gladly answer any questions about my experience with this place. read more
