    Crash Champions Collision Repair Bozeman

Not a particularly great experience with this shop recently. I was involved in a serious front-end…read morecollision when a gentleman totaled my truck by cutting across my lane of travel without looking both ways. It was immediately towed to Crash Champions Bozeman (CCB) in hopes they could repair it after they did a great job repairing a headlamp and grill on my truck the year before. After insurance deemed it a likely total loss based on photos I provided at the crash site, they contacted CCB to tow it from their yard for final inspection. CCB slow rolled the entire process because someone at their shop wanted me to retain it and sell it to him/her for their personal rebuild project. This was confirmed by Mike at CCB front desk who asked me for a price the day I showed up to remove the after market accessories. I made it clear the private sale wasn't happening. Apparently the person at CCB was not pleased because an absolute circus ensued. CCB repeatedly told me a verbal approval to release the truck to the insurance tow company was perfectly ok, but they told insurance it must be written approval - or it's not leaving their yard. I left 2 voicemails, also spoke with Mike and a Carolyn independently, authorizing the tow in each conversation, and also sent an email which was "lost" in their general inbox. It cost me the better part of 6 days of an already slow and painful insurance process - all they had to do was green-light insurance to pickup the truck after insurance and I contacted them over and over again. Overall ... not thrilled with the scummy feeling they left with me. Insurance confirmed they will urge their customers to use a different shop moving forward after documenting the conflicting instructions and private sale request story. Makes you wonder what other shenanigans they pull on insurance (not that insurance companies need defending) but honest work from honest people, like my insurance guy, is still honest work.

I had a collision with an animal around November 14th, 2023 that involved damage to the entire…read moreright side of my vehicle (passenger door, back passenger door, back passenger quarter panel). My insurance had Crash Champions on their designated shop list and it was the closest in my area. Although I didn't have much of a choice in servicing my vehicle with Crash Champions, I'm pleased it worked out the way it did. Lonny was my correspondent through the shop, he updated me every time the shop was able to move my vehicle along in its rehabilitation process. This was especially important to me because my insurance agent wasn't very communicatively reliable with my claim. Not only did Crash Champions repair my vehicle in a timely manner, they also talked me through it all along the way. Although Lonny was my main correspondent, I spoke with at least 3 different employees on the phone, all of which were helpful and knowledgeable. I hope to never crash another vehicle, but if I do and I am in the Bozeman area, Ill be giving Crash Champions a ring.

This has been the worst customer service experience I've had in my life, in any industry. I dropped…read moremy truck off for some straight-forward deer-collision bodywork on March 11 and now, on May 15th, over two months later, it's still no closer to being finished. Worse, I've been consistently and blatantly lied to, told over and over that "it'll hopefully done by next week," when in reality, parts hadn't even ordered until after they had been sitting on truck for over 40 business days. Constant lies, and I can't get anyone to return my phone calls. It's so absurd that it's almost criminal. I have all the dates, details, and facts (including facts that contradict their lies) to back up what I'm saying. As a comparison, when my other car needed a similar level of body work last year, my wife took it to Crash Champions. They were honest, professional, and had the job completely beautifully in 2 weeks. I picked Billion because that's where I bought my truck, but what a mistake. I'll never buy a vehicle there again or have service done. You're asking for a real headache if you do business with this shop.

Very, very poor experience. I'm usually a pretty chill guy and I tend to give people the benefit of…read morethe doubt in these situations, but this experience was just plain bad. Chapter 1: I called to set up an appointment for an estimate for hail damage, was asked where and when it happened and was given an appointment time of 4:30. I live in Ennis (55 minute drive) and left work early to make it there on time, only to be told, "We can't do a hail damage estimate today. You need to drop that off with us in the morning because it takes all day." Okay...then why did you make my appointment for the afternoon?! I drove all the way home (another 55 minutes) and then, took time off of work to take it back the next week (55 minutes). Chapter 2: After seeing the estimate and picking up my car, I noticed that they didn't include the cracked side view mirror on the estimate (the hail was intense) so I called them to make sure it was on the estimate and that it could be repaired. They told me it wouldn't be a problem and that they'd fix it. I reminded the receptionist of this damage at drop-off to which the estimator guy in the back yelled out, "I already told him on the phone that we'd fix it!". Well, was it fixed when they told me the car was done and I showed up (once again, 55 minute drive after leaving work early)? Nope!!! Chapter 3: Also, there was pitting in each dent where the hail had hit which they didn't fix. Frankly, the dent repair looked okay, but the pitting was still there and it looked like crap. They proceeded to tell me that, "hail couldn't make those marks and that it must've been from sap"...wait, what? How coincidental that the pitting marks were ONLY in the dents and nowhere else on the car. Needless to say, I didn't pick up my car that day because of the cracked mirror and pitting, and proceeded to drive home. Did I mention it's a 55 minute drive...each way?! They said they'd re-submit the claim to Farmer's insurance and get back to me. They didn't get back to me. Chapter 4: I called Billion after a week and was told that "Farmer's still hasn't given us the OK", to which Farmer's said, that they had denied the claim a few days back. Billion told the adjuster that there was no way the hail could've caused those marks and so the adjuster denied the claim without even going out to the shop. Thanks a Billion! Way to be an advocate for your customer! Chapter 5: I'm picking my car up tomorrow and I'll take it to someone else. This company is a joke. They can go to HAIL! Get it...hail...haha...nevermind. They should reimburse me for gas, mileage, and lost time at work, but I'd prefer to just NEVER return and try to get as many people as possible to not make the same mistake I did in taking my car there. Find someone else...please...do it for your own sanity. I don't feel very sane at this moment
