After reading reviews on various car shops, I had trust that Autobahn would be a great. My car had some difficulties starting recently. I replaced the battery yesterday but the car still would not start. I took my car in and was called about 2 hours later. They told me that the problem was that a cap was left on the battery when I installed it. I had them also fix the placement my light that was not quite in the right spot and was tricky for me to do on my own (the light bulb was already new). I was told that my total would be $241. I asked why and the lady at the front desk had the mechanic explain to me why. (All listen on my invoice) I was charged $140 for a diagnostic test. The mechanic said they started with the alternator and starter. When they found that those both worked well, they moved onto the battery. They found that it had no power. They found a cap on the battery, removed it, and got the car up and running again. They then charged me $70 for replacing a lightbulb when all I wanted was it placed back in the right spot. No one called me and asked if I would like the up charge of the light bulb being replaced. A few hours later, I felt like going back and reviewing my dash cam footage. It revealed that my car was taken back into the shop at 9:32 and the cap on the battery was found at 9:41. I reviewed all 9 minutes of that footage and my car was not touched. No diagnostic test was ran and the cap was found immediately upon starting the inspection. Within 9 minutes of my car being brought back, they found the problem. When reviewing further, there was a mechanic who got into my car, opened my glovebox, pulled my first aid kit out, and then turned my dash cam off manually. They had no reason to be getting into my glovebox or going through my things. If they needed something out of there like the manual, they should have asked me to pull it out prior. From that point on, this technician turned my dash cam off repeatedly for remainder of the service. I did not get to see my light be replaced or anything else. I got this dash cam for the safety of my car and did not give anyone permission to turn it off. I would not recommend this shop. They are dishonest and are not truthful with their prices and what they charge you for. They had an opportunity to be honest and fair and gain a new, repeat customer and they blew it. They deserve ZERO STARS!!!! Worse than Not Good. It was HORRIBLE... I was excited to take my truck in and get it diagnosed by them. I had heard good things about Jason at Auto Bahn Performance & Repair. I was very disappointed with the results I got with technician Ray. I was overcharged with additional labor that didn't happen. They charged me 1 hour of labor to add a single 20 ounce can of freeon to my ac (15 minutes max of actual time needed, possibly even less). Then I'm charged another hour of labor to look under my truck to tell me I had a transmission gasket leak and an oil pan leak, (for some reason he removed my bell housing cover). That's less than half an hour of actual labor. Adding Freon, diagnosing, and to put the housing cover back. But they didn't put it back. The bell housing cover was left off. They never put it back on after removing it. It's currently open and exposed. If I drive anywhere, debris will get into the bell housing, into the gears and ruin it. I've tried calling to report the issue, so I can hopefully get my cover back, but they don't even have a answering machine. These guys are unprofessional. I'm disappointed and frustrated with this experience. I don't have a problem paying for honest labor. I would understand the 30 minutes of labor being rounded up to 1 hour, but not 2. I do have a problem paying for half assed effort and labor that didn't happen. My advice is to keep looking for another shop. I'm going to Master Mechanic from now on. Jason and team have worked on a few of my cars. In the past I found that they were honest, competent, nice people and inexpensive. I recommended them to everyone. Recently I had my old 1986 Ford F250 towed in with starting and possible fuel problems. They got it to where is starts and runs so he said, but 1/4 a mile away it died after a $275 minor bill. I had it towed back a SECOND time. There is stayed for 2 weeks. I only called twice to see the progress. They never called once to give advice or status. He said it was fine, starts each day and has been test driven. I picked it up with no charge, after I asked how much. I was expecting a bill which would have been fine. Jason said just take it from the back of the shop. Like I upset him somehow? This time I got only as far as across the highway. It started a couple of times but would die immediately. I WALKED back and stuck my head in the shop saying that this time it only made it across the street! He didn't get out of his chair or even acknowledge I was there in frustration. He ignored the fact he didn't fix anything after (3) $100 tows, (3) weeks, and $275. I don't get it, what did I do? He should have just said we don't work on old "project" trucks. He has always been so kind. I just wanted it fixed. I was never consulted to say It's old and needs $500 to really fix it or whatever. I did call an asshole. Which is true, his blowing me off blatantly would have angered anyone. read more

I really was pleased with my experience - as pleased as one can be with car issues. I took my 2010 Honda civic in, it was making noise and my belt was burning. Jason got me in on a wednesday morning, and had my car back to me later that same day. He explained what he thought the problem was from the description, I gave him the car, and called me back within an hour letting me know that he'd looked at it and gave me an accurate quote for what it would cost to fix it. It was my AC condenser that needed replacing, and they tested to make sure that my AC was working in the warm shop rather than the cold outside so that when the heat comes I have AC for sure. He told me to bring it back in if summer hits and my AC doesn't work, and he would take care of it. Overall, I was really appreciative of how accurate his diagnosis was and the quote on price, as well as how quickly he was able to take care of me. I Definitely recommend them! read more

Dishonest. A friend took his truck there and they told him he had a blown head gasket and that his truck wasn't worth anything, then offered to buy it from him for a couple hundred $. I strongly encouraged him to take it somewhere else so he went somewhere else and had the fuel pump replaced and the truck runs great. Jason and his shop damaged my car and refused to help me repair it. I asked for him to press a new wheel bearing in for me as his shop didn't tighten and axle nut down properly and caused the spindle and bearing to go out. I pulled the hub off the car and asked if he could take 2 minutes to press the new bearing I bought into place and he tried charging me for it, for 2 minutes of his time and the use of his press for a mistake his shop made on my car thats been costing me to repair read more

I've been having trouble with my heater blowing cold air, instead of heat? Seen some mechanic, supposedly put in thermostat charged for it, but still no heat, I was told not sure what could be wrong, and that it's going to cost lots to fix. Diagnostics were quick and accurate. Required pulling head from engine and replacing burned valves. Actual repair was completed quickly. Autobahn Owner assured that repair was completed and engine was back to good function. He said that a test drive showed no problems. I did notice oily hand prints on the car's body, car door handle, and steering wheel. On the engine cover there was dirt, a large scratch in the plastic, and more greasy hand prints. (I am fairly meticulous about keeping my cars and engines clean.) I photographed them on the spot. I paid bill and left. Next morning I found an oil pool, not a drip or two, in my driveway under the engine. I called the Autobahn owner and he was sincerely apologetic and told me to return car for inspection and repair. I did. A day later he said it was repaired. I picked it up and behold, next morning ... more oil on driveway. I returned car AGAIN and he promised he would personally check the work of his "mechanic." He called later and said it was fixed. AGAIN I drive car home and I personally crawled under it with a clean rag and wipe up the oily mess the "mechanic" had left on the suspension, cross members, motor mounts, and axles. Next morning, more fresh oil on driveway. I also noticed factory pipe clips and wiring fasteners that were snapped off and left dangling. These clips are easily undone with pliers but it was obvious that the "mechanic" just pulled them off, breaking them in the process. I told the owner this and was assured they would be replaced and the oil leak fixed (again). This is now the 4th time I have been in for one problem. The oil leak was finally fixed and some of the fasteners replaced with zip ties (not factory clips). When home (again), I checked and found that the leaked oil was not replaced (a quart low), the clamp that hold the air intake pipe to the mass flow meter was loose, a vacuum line was dangling poised to fall off, the wiring harness clamp to the throttle positioning sensor was broken, clamps that hold the transmission coolant pipes were broken and left where it vibrates against the body, the engine was again filthy, and the radiator was almost a gallon low causing ti to overheat for the first time ever. All of these I fixed myself. I took the car to Import Auto for a real diagnosis and repair, the $1500 I wasted at Autobahn was flushed down the toilet. GO TO IMPORT AUTO. The owner of Autobahn is an honest and caring kind of man. HOWEVER, some of his mechanics are the worst I have ever seen. Not only incompetent but also not caring about quality or craftsmanship. Their shop area is dirty and they have no pride in work. read more

Highly Not Recommended. I took my family vehicle in with an emergency radiator fix, after the successful cheapish radiator fix I thought finally a good mechanic oh boy was I wrong. So now the car ran but not good after a decent test drive, (after the radiator fix) it was completely obvious something was off with the engine. So a week later we are back at Auto Bahn for the weird engine issue which was a misfire coil and plug changed, paid for. Car ran day or two tops then throwing codes again back to Auto Bahn owner reassured us it's not a big deal ignore the check engine light unless I have time to leave the car overnight. so instead I had an inspection due so I took the car to grease monkey for the state inspection, it of course didn't pass due to the check engine light grease monkey drove to Ogden got the part needed and fixed the Car no check engine light no code nothing all within a couple hours. WOW what I realized in all this.... Auto Bahn with my car has no clue what they are doing. After grease monkey the car ran perfectly fine passed inspection and is a great car. On a side note in posting a negative review on fb the owners wife called my husband personally!?!? how she got his number? No clue...maybe Unprofessionally went through her records called him at 8 am on a Saturday then proceeded to chew him out and verbally attacked him for the bad review insisting on the review isn't fair, let's make this right, when he said the car doesn't need your attention anymore thanks anyway .... (trying to hang up)it is just fine he said but she insisted so at this point He asked what are you going to refund my money? Then she literally went off the hinge so I had enough at this point took his phone ended the phone call be warned autobahn will take your money and your information and use both unprofessionally the money they take for a job that's half assed and you will be back, then your information they'll use to harass you if needed! ....BE WARNED read more

He tries to find you quality used parts when he can so the cost of repairs doesn't hurt so much. It's hard to be a woman and have car problems. Lots of car shops nickel and dime you because they know you don't know any better. I've never ever felt that way at Autobahn. The guys are so nice over there and honest. If I could give Auto Bahn 10 stars I would. I am always so cautious to take my car to get repaired or fixed because I will be over charged or taken advantage of. That is definitely not the case with Auto Bahn! I called and got an appointment the same day, they worked with my schedule and got me right in and fixed my car within a half hour. And charged me so much less than what a previous mechanic had told me! I will be coming back to Auto Bahn as long as I live near logan, and will recommend them to anyone I talk to! In my own experience autobahn did a great job with the install of my radiator, but failed horribly on the diagnosing and fixing of the rest of my car..... it was a mazda 6 4 door hatch (the family car). The car was starting to run rough and have a weird noise and whatnot from under the hood while at idle every time at idle not hard to see whats going on.... but for some reason autobahn couldn't figure it out either kyle i believe the owner reassured me and my wife the car was fine the he checked the vacuum lines he even changed one ignition coil claiming that was the culprit all for under 200 ..... anyway the car ran fine day or 2 tops then started acting up again, this time my wife was so fed up she just went to grease money for a quick fix because also autobahn takes days ...... so slow and she didnt want to wait ...... so grease monkey helped us out fixed the problem which was apparently a simple sensor. This is why the 1 star review after 200 spent they missed a simple sensor? But in the long run the mazda was totaled out due to an accident so its not a worry of mine anymore thank goodness cuz apparently it's a hard car to work on autobahn had no clue where to start is the feeling i got..... and on a side note after posting a review on fb the owner's wife or secretary called me at 8 am on a Saturday one of my only days off to confront me about my review stating it wasn't fair..... initially i declined to talk to her but she insisted literally to the point of harrassment.... terrible business practices! read more

I am truly surprised to see any negative reviews for this auto mechanic. I have been taking my cars to Auto Bahn for over 13 years now. This owner has taken great care of each of my many cars that I have owned during those 13 yrs. And I have had many! I remember one time when my Porsche had broken down a few years back, and had called the the owner of Auto Bahn to see what could be going wrong. His reply was, "where are you?" I told him where I was located and then was told "I will be right there!" Within literally minutes, he was there working on my car. Unfortunately, he couldn't get my car to start, so he towed me into his shop and began the work. There has never been a time where this owner has taken advantage of me financially! Let me say that again. NEVER HAS THIS MECHANIC TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF ME FINANCIALLY! I have been taken by mechanics before, and most of the time they are dealerships. This owner treats me like I am family and knows my name, my telephone number and what my expectations are. He also guarantees his work. If something didn't work, he owns up and fixes it. If he can't fix it, he offers me solutions and ideas in how I can get the best price and service for my issues. Sometimes this has been to try another mechanic who is more familiar with my issues. The reviews on this page regarding this mechanic are not true. I recommend this mechanic and his team 100% to everyone! Don't be fooled by these negative comments. I am not the complaining type, but after having two visits mentioning that my car leaks antifreeze and lots? Was told would check it out, but i get my car back and still leaks, had a neighbor mechanic take a look and says the leak coming from the water pump. I do not have much help with my car, have paid for past services, and thanks for environmental health providing a voucher recently for a simple check engine light that came on and off, but i dont know much about cars? Would of been nice when i mentioned about that leak twice while car sat there for days, if could of just helped me out and told me what might be problem. read more

These guys are nice. They won't charge you if they can't find anything wrong, but that's just it...don't expect to get charged. I went in twice when I was having problems with my engine sputtering and stalling. I even told them I saw a crack in one of the hoses. They took a look at it, and told me nothing was wrong with the car. So a week later, I brought it into Car Smart and they told me it was a vacuum leak. They replaced the hose and fixed it right up for me. Car runs much smoother now. This was my only time ever dealing with Auto Bahn, so my first impression could be wrong, but I don't think I'll be going back there. read more
