It was the most expensive meal I had in Prague, and while the food was good, for these prices, I expect to either be really impressed by the food or to have particularly special service or ambiance. Because I didn't have a reservation, I was seated in the entry hallway; the ambiance may be a little nicer in the downstairs dining room. I had the spinach tagliatelle, tiramisu, and a lime iced tea. I thought the candied walnuts in the pasta were interesting and I really liked the dish. The tiramisu was good but not a standout, though I liked how the bitterness of the espresso came through. Lime iced tea was pretty sweet and more lime than tea, but it was nice even if it wasn't what I expected. If you don't care too much about prices, this is a good place, I just think there are comparatively good Italian restaurants at a better price if you go a little further from the major tourist areas.

Mat least four nationalities were present. The salads were good and pasta dishes prepared well. The serving sizes were adequate and not overwhelming that can occur in some places. They appeared to have a wide selection of wines and other drinks, although most were drinking beer, as it is, after all, Prague. I was greeted by a nice older gentleman who I think is the manager or the owner. He kindly ushered me in and greeted me with "Merry Christmas." From what I could figure out, it was an ice cream ball with a layer of chocolate gelato and vanilla center covered in cocoa powder. Our first experience since having been in Germany for a week where we didn't feel alienated for not being able to speak German beyond the basics. He immediately brought over English menus without us asking and was happy to speak in English with us. Beyond that, the food is delicious and it's the first place I've been to where I thought to myself "I want to go back!" I ordered a spritz, Caesar salad, and bolognese. The salad was large enough for me to share with 2 others. And I am currently eating my bolognese takeaway the day after. It's so good it inspired me to leave a positive review.
