Even though language was a very tiny barrier, I got exactly what I wanted at a very reasonable price. In total, my whole meal cost around 25 USD. I could not finish at all so that has to say something! FOOD: the menu was very easy to understand and the food was delicious. I ordered a plate with chicken and beef combo over french fries with a side salad. It all comes together in one to go box and was very plentiful. The fries were one of the best french fries I've ever had and the meat was shaved a lot like gyro meat. So good and tasty. The side of rice that I also bought was much more plentiful than I realized and tasted great. The baklava was a little bit mushy at the bottom so that was a hit or miss. It still tasted good, but I'm used to having more of that phillo dough crunch. SERVICE: i'd have to say service was really good. I did have a small communication issue, but they did a great job getting me exactly what I wanted and the portions were very plentiful and it was packaged very nicely. I really have nothing to complain about it all. COST: very very reasonable! For what you receive it was a bargain and because it was so tasty, I highly recommend this place. It is obviously not food native to the Czech Republic but if you want a tasty meal with plentiful portions, then you really can't go wrong.

We saw the worker shaving the chicken on a rotating spit so we couldn't resist! Look at my pictures showing the mounds of fresh vegetables! There are different dressings, tomatoes, cucumbers and cheese to go along with your chicken You can choose a huge pita bread that opens up so wide to stuff all the ingredients! There is also the platter or burrito style! I choose the kebab box which was a terrific choice to take back to my hotel room! I could choose between rice or French fries. I decided to choose French fries which were cut so well like a crinckle c-shape that was so crispy despite being covered by my chicken, dressing and tons of fresh lettuce and tomatoes! OMG, they pile on the box, then shake it down and close the compact the "Chinese" takeout box! It was so delicious and plentiful! I could only eat half of my box because I was full!! Wished I could have finished it as it was so good! Never had anything like it plus so reasonable! Such a healthy choice too!

We read about Ocakbasi on Yelp and were excited to try it. We got the Sebzeli Kuzu Güvec /Lammfleischauflauf (roasted lamb with mediterranean vegetables, baked in tomato sauce with cheese) and the Firinda Ispanak / Spinatauflauf (spinach with garlic, paprika, cauliflower in cream sauce), and both dishes had fresh and flavorful ingredients prepared with love. The food was so delicious and satisfying after a full day of train travel from Munich. Staff were patient with our limited German, service was quick & friendly.

While visiting family in Dresden, we were looking for a Turkish restaurant with a bigger menu than…read more'just kebabs,' and this place was recommended. We called to make a reservation and were happy to hear they had space for our party of 4 inside. When we arrived, a table freed up outside and we asked if we could change from inside to outside - the outside area was otherwise full and seemed to have more atmosphere than inside which was pretty empty. They told us no problem, and we sat. We had two servers - a woman who seemed like the hostess but who took our drink order and delivered the drinks, and a guy who took our food order, and delivered the food with the woman - sort of like a tag team. It looked like they were both sharing all the outside tables and between them, we never went wanting for drinks, questions or the bill. For this next part of the review I have to say I can only describe the delicious things we ordered because our family ordered everything in German, and we had no idea of the names of things! We ordered three appetizers and two main dishes: -- appetizer 1 was a cheesy-tomato-y kind of dip in a large, deep metal serving dish; it was absolutely gooey and salty and decadent, served with fresh baked pita that came out on a wooden board. --appetizer 2 was a tray of dips, including hummus, something pink (maybe beet hummus), two white spreads - one which may have been skordalia (garlic potato dip) and one that was closer to tzaziki but thicker and with more onions, a yellow dip that may have been made with boiled egg yolks, a tomato-y spread and a spread that seemed like bulgar or quinoa cooked with tomatoes/peppers. No idea what any of them were but the platter was epic, served with battered and deep fried slices of zucchini and eggplant, plus slices of fresh veggies too, AND a couple veggie samosa-like deep- fried pockets. It was definitely one of the prettiest and most delicious appetizers, which could have easily been a super satisfying main for one or even two people, I have ever eaten. -- appetizer 3 was a deep bowl of fresh tabouli, decorated with sliced sour pickles, fresh cucumber and sliced sweet bell pepper - also seasoned perfectly -- main 1 was a mixed grill platter with lamb chops, grilled minced-meat kebabs and grilled chicken and beef (cubes) kebabs - all served with roasted tomato, fresh hot pepper, sour cream, and a bed of rice that was orange in color - possibly a kind of saffron rice? Though the saffron scent/taste was not strong at all. -- main 2 was another mixed grill platter, but with more lamb, and smothered in a rich tomato gravy/sauce We had plenty of pita for all the dips and still some left for making little wraps. We did a lot of the eating with our hands...truth be told...and really enjoyed the whole experience. I definitely second the original recommendation we were given - great service, great menu, high food quality, and a really comfy outside dining area. I hope to return to Dresden in the future and will search them out fira repeat of the whole meal!
