Julian (sales staff) greeted me and walked through the options and after a quick back room look at my issue, they simply let me pick out a new pair of 558's!! This is a review for the Water street store in Vancouver. Lovely people working there. I have been wearing Blundstone boots for years. Was very disappointed that the buckskin lace ups were recalled as they fit so well and were great looking. I replaced them with a chisel toe dress boot, the same as I had been wearing for 6 years (the same pair!) This replacement pair are not like the previous boots. They are a very sloppy fit even with the second insole, my feet feel like they are swimming. The sole doesn't feel supportive. This is after only a few months of wear so I can't return them now nor can I wear them comfortably. Very disappointed. read more

A terrible experience. My young daughter's boots fell apart. Both soles split in two. They pointed to predictable minor wear on the heels and said," pound sand - no warranty". I was little miffed at my response from a sales clerk in the vancouver store , My boots are leaking at the toe . I took them off and showed her the insole at the toe was obviously wet . Her remark was " Honestly I think that is sweat " I asked her why is it just at the toes then ? I do not know what the protocol is however the response was not what I was expectIng . I have to bring them back for a water test , however what better test then my insole beIng damp . I could not help I was being shuffled off and them hoping I would not return , my feet are damp and cold , I am afraid I will have chuck these boots out and go back to my Stompers . read more

I was traveling through toronto on business and my blundstone heels collapsed literally the foam inside disintegrated, less than 2 years old. I was prepared to buy new ones but Tom checked the number on the bottom and said it was still under warranty and that this had been a know problem. I got a new pair right away. This place is great, they offer life time polishing on blundstones. Prices are $200+ per pair and more for the high end shoes. These shoes are the best!! and honestly worth every penny. They will last you years.. I work in them almost everyday and they get better as you wear into them. Great for working in film sets, they are light weight, durable, water resistant and versitile. Although the sizing is different they use Australian sizing but the sales people will know your size. The shoes "relax" a bit after the first week . I would suggest getting a half size bigger in case you want to wear thicker socks in the Winter. Austrailian boot Company is a smaller store so just an FYI. We had to wait 15 mins outside today as there were soo many people. Staff there are great. I would recommend this place to anyone If you take your shoes there to polish, I got them back day after or sometning if they are not busy they are available in an hour or so. What excellent customer service! I came in with my pair of old (more than 10 years old) Blundstone's that literally fell apart on me yesterday. The sole was cracked through and the heel disintegrated?! The young woman told me that that was a common problem with the old models because they weren't made for Vancouver weather. She told me she would give me a $199.95 store credit that I could apply to a brand new pair! She was very knowledgeable and showed me the latest styles available. I had no problem finding a pair that I liked. The only problem was that they don't carry half sizes. She offered to put in the extra insole that comes with each pair of boots; that solved my problem and gave me a better fit. I wore them right away and a friend commented she liked my boots. I told her my story and she said she was going to buy herself a pair! I had a wonderful experience here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to others. Three Canadians who fell in love with Australian footwear founded this company. According to their website, it was after a visit to the land down under that their interest was first piqued and so they sought to bring a little bit of Australia to Canada. This is definitely a place that puts comfort over style. As written on their website, their notion of style "has more to do with how a person feels than how they look", which is contrary to how I view things. For me, an indicator of quality design is functionality as well as aesthetic. One should never have to compromise the other. I guess that's probably why some of the merchandise here doesn't bode that well with me. But for those in search of rainy day boots, Uggs (hmmm.. really?) or good hiking shoes by way of Blundstone or RM Williams, this is the place to go. read more

Flimsy product, rock bottom service. I purchased my chisel toe Blundstones 2 years ago, and they served me well... for a short time. After only 1 year of use, the seams have come almost completely apart. The leather on the toe is totally worn through, making them almost unwearable. I brought them into the Australian Boot Company store, and asked them for help. They took some pictures to send to some office in Toronto promising to get back to me. After 3 weeks not hearing back, I returned to the store. I spoke to the same guy, who told me they had asked for more pictures, and he'd forgotten to write to me. So he took more pictures and sent another email, with me cc'd this time. A few more weeks passed with no response, so I replied to the thread with the Vancouver store and the Toronto office. Still no response. So I went back to the store, only to find the Toronto office had rejected the warranty claim, with no offer of compensation. They had not included me in their email, nor had the Vancouver location emailed to inform me. So three visits in, with no email communication, I was left with the same broken product I had walked in with 2 months prior. Blundstone has clearly forgotten their Canadian clientele, offering no service whatsoever. Would not recommend. read more

Originally I had came in with a pair of Blundstone's that (albeit were a few years old) were falling apart, and the store wasn't offering to exchange them under warranty. However, the owner of the store, Casey, reached out after I posted a review and he made things right. They exchanged the boots for a new pair, and I only had to pay a $10 difference because I guess my model was discontinued. This would be a 4 or 5 star review, had it not been for my original experience, but nonetheless, I would encourage others to shop here as this company does value their customers, and they do stand behind their products. read more

PET PEEVE ALERT!!! i have had the same pair of blundstones for 18 years. serious. but the soles are worn and getting them fixed is half the price of a new pair. so here i am. please note this review has nothing to do with the product but rather the customer service. i came in here probably a year ago. i was so put off by the lack of service (i was the only person in the store and whatever dude was looking at on his computer was clearly more important than seeing if i needed help with styles, sizes etc) that i walked out without even trying anything on. this time, there were a few other people and about 3 sales people. as i looked at the wall o boots, two of them were sitting on the bench (salespeople, not boos) giving each other massages. seriously. when i asked about a few models, the guy didn't even bother standing up. he answered my question from the bench, mid-massage. oh poor boo is tired and needs a massage. stand the F up! this is a place of business not your living room (this is the pet peeve). i asked for a particular style and size. he brought it, but then told me to try a size smaller (!?!? i think i know the size of my feet) and when i said i needed the half size bigger, he brought out another style (that i did not request, or like) and said it would look better (i.e., not as bulky and big). well thanks for imposing your taste on me but actually my old pair are a whole size bigger than what you're telling me to try AND i like these boots to fit a tad bigger so i can wear them with thick socks. BUT WHY DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN THIS!??! anyway, he brought two sizes, then disappeared in the back for a REALLY long time. and no, he was not dealing with another customer. he finally came out and i said, i needed bigger, i didn't like the model he brought and can i try another model. oh god it was so f-ing painful. i just left. i cannot support this business and will seek out another store that sells this brand. manager: if you are reading this. time to give your staff a pep talk. read more

I was super excited to pick up a pair after my NZ brother-in-law and sister convinced me they were worth it. I love authentic brands with great products, but my experience didn't live up to what I've heard. Service: Was disappointed when I picked up my pair of boots and the sales person was applying leather conditioner to another customers boots. When I asked if mine needed the same he said I was good for six months. This left me confused as he was applying the conditioner to the exact same style right out of the box, but mine didn't need it? After touching base with my fellow Blundstone wearers, I was indeed informed that you did need to condition right away. I think the main difference between myself and the other customer was that they were an attractive girl. Quality: Overall my experience with the boot is good. However, the leather quality is inconsistent. One boot quickly (within a month) became wrinkled throughout while the other stayed smooth. The boot with issues seems to be a poorer quality leather. Leaving me wearing them just to run errands on the weekend. Like I said. I'd really like to get behind this brand, but I just can't. read more

My husband and I went into the Kits store to buy two pairs of boots. The three sales people behind the counter were so busy doing nothing and could not even acknowledge that we had entered to store. I had a great experience at this shop. It was very close to where we were staying during our last trip to Vancouver and I was very excited to go see what they had. I had seen Blundstones at a couple places in Seattle but they never had sizes that fit me (I have kid size feet.) They guy that was working there was fun (though he is heading back to Australia) and he chatted with me amiably. And they had a kid size I could wear and so I got a pair o' boots which I've been sorely needing since Fluevog doesn't make my fav boot anymore. I've been "thinking" about getting a pair of Blundstones for quite some time. I must confess, I am NOT a boot person. I own a pair of hikers and a pair of steel toes... but do not own a pair of boots for daily wear. The staff are Aussies... or ppl hired who sound like they are Aussies. They are friendly and super patient... I tried on five pairs before I settled "just right" into a pair of chisel-toe Blundstones. I've been "protecting" my boots, trying not to scuff them etc... they are great in the rain and are a good alternative to dress shoes. Drop in and try a pair! At $201 + change (damn HST) the price is reasonable as the boots look like they will last a while. read more

My pair Blundstones lasted six years before the rubber soles completely disintegrated. They were extremely comfortable and took a lot of abuse. My only complain about the Blunnies is the inability to replace the worn soles Recently bought a pair of RM Williams- they were on sale but still a bit dear... Nevertheless, I think the Chelsea boots will last a while... hopefully. I actually found the Williams quite stylish and they are just as comfortable as the Blunnies. Obviously these are not Church's but those babies cost twice as much. read more

Then I get an email saying that they do not even carry the size that is on their website? So they mislead you with false information to get your money. To dress up a pair of RM Williams will do on any occation and wrap your feet in kid lined leather. I am a little torn with this company. Their retail stores are fantastic and their shoes are top-notch (a big fan of them), but their communication and ability to run an online marketplace were frustrating. There was a lot of back and forth regarding a change in my order and there were miscommunications about when my boots were shipped and the location they were shipped from. After 3 weeks, my shoes finally arrived with the style that I had initially requested. My only reservation is that the mailing department didn't seem to bother to update my online order (for someone who has dropped significant amounts of $$$, it'd be good to receive some peace of mind with what's going on with their order). Overall, I would probably purchase my boots again with ABC - but solely through their physical storefront. If you're looking for a particular boot and are in a rush to get them, I wouldn't recommend buying them online at this store. read more

Awful customer service. I came in looking for boots for my daughter and myself and was totally ignored by 3 separate sales people. Aside from a girl asking if I could move so she could get by with a stack of shoe boxes, none of them spoke a word to me, despite making eye contact. I definitely got the impression they were focused on the more affluent looking customers. After trying to get someone's attention for 15 minutes we left. If you want to go to a place where you want to guess who is an employee and who is a customer, well this place if for you. Its common place for employees to stand around rather than helping out. I asked an employee for help but he said he was busy handing out candy to people walking outside. When i finally got some help the sales associate would not help put the insoles inside the boot i tried on. Making matters worse the insoles in the box were one size to big as i later discovered at home after the purchase. Great product selection but awful awful awful $8 /hr sale associates who didnt care about service and seemed to watch the clock hoping for the end of their miserable shift. read more

I bought some great boots in person the Chisel toe black #068 a while back and wanted to know what size i bought them in. As I don't longer live in Vancouver but wanted to buy them online, so I called the woman at the Vancouver Kitslano store, and she was so forthcoming, got my name, and entered it into the computer, then knew which boot I purchased, which size, color, and the date. It was fantastic. I plan to buy a pair for each day of the week!! I have a pair of Blundstone chisel toes that my wife bought me as a gift. I only wear them a few time a year. After owning them a couple years, I noticed that the soles and heels were crumbling, so I dropped into the store to inquire about the cause and possible solution. I was told " Oh yeah, that happened for awhile when we moved our manufacturing from Australia to (I can't recall exactly what country) Viet Nam. The problem is that you didn't wear them enough and the rubber decomposed" So I asked what they could do about the issue. I was told that the best they could offer was $30 off a new pair. I think not! The uppers on these boots look brand new, but they are unwearable, leaving bits if crumbled rubber in my wake! I emailed the ABC corporate customer service and was told that they would do nothing, as the boots were past warranty. So, the boots that I've only worn 15-20 times, that look brand new are sitting in the back of my closet because I can't bear to throw them out. I will never buy a Blundstone product again, and will continue to tell all my friends and acquaintances about the lousy customer service and product support at The Australian Boot Company and Blundstone read more

I decided to buy Blundstones on the account that my mother still owns the same pair she had when she lived in Australia during the mid 1980s. I had owned my Blunnies for three years at this point, and had brought them with me to the Glaciers of Iceland, Boar hunting in Catalonia, and also used them to cruise the streets of Vancouver. I was a little sad when the rubber wore out so soon, but the staff at Australian Boot Company took a look at my boots, and said that it was close enough to the warranty dates that they would replace them for no charge. I was abolsutely taken back by that level of customer service. I know that if I have anymore issues, or need another pair in the future (or recomendations for friends), the business will go to the Australian Boot Company. The blundstones were too tight in the heel, it was the most appropriate size in stock but too small. The associate assured me they would stretch. I walked out of the store with them on my feet, not the associate. After one month I emailed customer service, my feet hurt. It would have been nice to know my first steps out the door voided the exchange/return. It's on the receipt they said, did the associate not know, I wondered. This cobbler will stretch them they said, not the food. This cobbler tried to stretch them twice. Two different cobblers told me they do not stretch in length but they tried twice. Still too tight I emailed the store. I entered the store and removed my boots, removed the insole and stood on the insole with my right foot. The manager told me to try some thick socks.
