When I saw the 3 kilo leg he called 'small', I was more than happy to just take that home and said as much. He thought for a second and then asked me if I liked fritz. I said yes (because, honestly, who doesn't love fritz?) so he said, 'Alright, I'll make up the difference for you.' and gave me 500g of free fritz sausage. Absolutely wonderful customer service and I know the butcher I'll be coming to next! PS, fritz tastes lovely, I'll let you know how we got with the ham. Update: ham was fantastic. It did two Christmas lunches plus leftovers for a week!

Cimarosti Bros smoke their own smallgoods and make their own sausages. Nothing is too much trouble for the team of friendly butchers, so what every joint of meat you need just ask and someone will prepare it for you no worries. They also stock local fish, squid and gluten free sausages in the fridge and freezer. Plus a range of local produce such as eggs, olive oil and honey.

But if you want quality produce for your guests where they can taste the difference, this is a great place to shop. I don't eat meat so cannot comment on their red meat but Feast's stores have an excellent range of locally sourced, small producers. We can feel good supporting our local farmers who are providing unique produce and cuts. Very well displayed and tempting store and their staff are very happy to explain cooking methods and times. The sausages were yummy and I will be back to try their chicken, cinnamon and apple sausages or traditional gourmet chicken variety. High end prices but excellent quality product.

Our household favourites include the Whole Chicken which is marinated in some sort of secret herbs and spices which make the skin of the chicken taste so good. (I'm not one to eat chicken skin, but when we cook these chickens it's impossible not to!) At $9 it's a cheap and easy meal by whacking some veggies on to roast at the same time! The Beef Strogonoff and team it up with some pasta and green veg... the Beef Curry is also great, actually pretty much everything is! This Foodland supermarket is an oasis in a suburban shopping centre which is finally being…read morerejuvenated with a Target opening soon and a selection of speciality shops within the new complex next door and the makeover I hope will slowly creep over to the tired Foodland facade to blend in. But inside it has always been a fantastic place to shop with fresh fruit and vegetables, large deli display counters including a separate sections on either side devoted to seafood and an excellent gourmet continental deli. They have recently added an organic fruit and veg section between the standard fruit and veg area plus the nuts and bolts area. The atmosphere is quite relaxing for a supermarket as the aisles are wide, the ceiling is high with not a hint of claustrophobia, and the nice big picture windows across the front allows shoppers and staff a view. The one and only complaint I have is the prices are not cheap and there is a definite lack of specials, the forest of trees I receive stashed in my letter box everyday, is frequently devoid of Foodland Pasadena junk mail advertising. And....I wish they had a petrol saver card despite it being a contrived scenario, as I end up going elsewhere to spend $30 just to get my 4cents worth of cheaper petrol! Also, it is the only supermarket in South Australia which has a deli cafe! A novel and great concept for such a place! Well done. All in all, great supermarket and great friendly staff.

Bob is everyone's darling and serves up the best cuts in town. Get your roast, steak or ham supply from here and he usually gives you a good price if he knows you well. Apart from meat and poultry, Bob also sells Coorong Mullet Fillets here and on other days, you will find some barrumundi. Highly recommend. Good meat and excellent service.
