I compared prices and offerings for ATD along with the other two highest rated tint places near my house in Round Rock. ATD had the best pricing overall and that was before I knew they gave a cash discount too which is awesome. We had Xpel XR installed in my fiance's new Hyundai Tucscon and also in my 2019 4runner. The owner was very helpful when I was trying to figure out how dark to go and I was also pleasantly surprised to hear they can do the full windshield too ($250) as it wasn't listed on their website. Each car only took a few hours and so far, we are very happy with the work they did. There is also a warranty so if issues do develop, they shouldn't be hard to get taken care of. Just got my gf's Sonata done. Did a quick search on Yelp and ATD came up. The website has a lot of information about the brand of tint that is used in comparison to various other brands. UT even took the time to clear up any other questions that I had. Even better, he got me in the same day and it only took an hour. If I could leave zero stars I would. I contacted Austin Tint Doctor on 6/20/23 about doing tint for a business. A man came out to do measurements and told us that he would be back the following Monday to show us samples. He came back with a 2/3 samples that didn't fit what we wanted. He said he would be back in a couple days with more samples. He didn't show up so I reached out to him and he said he got the days confused and would be back soon. HE NEVER CAME BACK. I reached out on 7/14/23 via text to ask if they were planning on coming back. He read the message and didn't respond. So I reached out again today (7/27/23) and let him know that we would be going with someone else due to the lack of communication and unprofessionalism. He read the message and again never responded. Before making an appointment I texted the owner on Facebook to get a quote to tint my vehicle. I was specific in asking for the front two windows and the windshield. He gave me the quotes and I set an appointment. I thought the price was amazing as it was on average $20 to $50 less than the other places I shopped. I drove an hour from Dripping Springs to Round Rock a member business of the group I belong to and of course the deal. I arrive at 10am on the nose for my appointment I walked an and one of the installers starts to tell me my options and then quotes the price and I said yes for the front two and the windshield. His reposes was no, the windshield is $200 extra. I showed him the text exchange and he said the owner would be back in a few minutes. I waited about 10 minutes and when the owner showed up I showed him the text and his response was "oh I didn't see the windshield". If that's what you want it will cost more. So I asked him specifically, mistake of not are you saying to me you are not going to honor the quote. His response was no. He could have offered a compromise but no. I told him I drove an hour to come to his shop and he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Very disappointed to say the least. I have attached the text exchange for all to see. ***In response you your response. I was referred to you by Lone Star Dads". All I said was I would let them know you did not honor your deal. And please explain what the racial slur was. As I did no such thing. You made no conciliatory offer you walked away. I had first tried to contact this business through their website. I requested a quote and they never contacted me. I had to call the number to finally get in contact with the business. I brought the truck to the business and spoke with the owner, I explained what I wanted, and he asked me if I wanted it like his truck 25 on the front and 15 in the back. I told him that sounded perfect let's do that. He told me he would have to charge extra for taking the old tint off which I completely understood. After he completed the process I picked up my truck and he told me the warranty was in the glove box. When I looked on the warranty I saw he had only put 30 on the front windows and didn't bother to call me to let me know or even tell me when I went to pick up my truck. Also after taking my truck to him I noticed that my windows came back with cut marks in them. At first I though this was possibly glue that was left over but upon further review my windows had be cut into, the picture shows the deepest ones. Now not only will I need to get the windows replaced due to all the cuts but I will need to get the tint done with what I asked for. I will not be going back to this place nor would I recommend anyone else to go to this place. Worst $600 ever spent. read more

Car keeps super cool and comfortable now even in the scorching hot Austin summer of 110 degrees. Plus, the charges were extremely reasonable. Dishonest shop. Came here to tint the windshield and found a few scratches later. Owner claimed to have the process video recorded but showed only the second time they tinted the windshield. They tinted the windows second time because they claimed it might be film defect in the first time. They keep hiding the recording of the first time they tinted the windshield. Very fishy business practice. Also, they split business from Auto Tinting Austin LLC already. If you are interested in this place because of good reviews for that company (or Auto Detailing Austin, same company), don't go to Austin Tint Doctor. read more

I searched on Yelp for someone to do the window tint on my sons' 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback and received several responses. Ut was quick to respond with information of pricing and types of tint. He had an opening right away the next day. I didn't get back to him on time but he was able to get me in the the following day, which was yesterday, and took about an hour or less to do the job. It was excellent, there are no bubbles although it will take a few days to cure i am sure there will be no issues. If there were any issues the service comes with a lifetime warranty.
