So here's what my dog Patsy Cline had to say in her first official Yelp Review about her favorite Petsitter, Kris @ Fit Pup: - Kris doesn't view her time with me (Patsy) as a task or a job or a to-do list, she genuinely treats me like I'm her own pet with lots of love and care. That make me so happy and feels so good! - The time we spend together is quality - - never a rush or bunched up with a lot of other pets at the same time. That way I get ample quality time to play and Kris one-on-one as she's 100% focused on interacting with me. We play fetch or throw the ball around and even go for walks. I always come back really pooped. - It's an excellent return on investment, or as my owner puts it, great "bang for the buck". Kris's prices extremely reasonable and competitive, and I agree that he gets more value for his money. He said he did some research on prices and she was the lowest in the area - - kewl beans! - Flexibility and responsiveness: my owner had to call Kris at the last minute to schedule a walk due to changes in his work schedule and Kris was very responsive and fit our walk in the same day - - awesome! My dog's walker, Amy Schalk, keeps my pups entertained and takes them to different walking locations throughout the area. Apparently their favorite is the Bull Creek Greenbelt, at least it appeared so from the photo updates I got. Amy is full of patience and has a calm and warm nature with dogs. You can tell she really loves dogs (and they love her too).

We had hired someone through Rover on our recent trip to Maui, and though I was paying for house/pet sitting, the person was stopping by the house for maybe 20 minutes at a time, 4 times a day. My dog was a mess!! He has serious anxiety issues and has to be around people! A good friend told me about Lauren and Andy. We were crazy lucky that Andy was able to sweep in and take over our dog's care. He truly saved our vacation!!! He was there every night for my dog, and he was with him during the day as well. My dog was traumatized before Andy got there, and Andy knew immediately what my dog needed to calm down and feel secure. I can't thank Andy and Lauren enough for what they've done for us. Cortney and Avalon sent me regular updates and photos giving me peace of mind during my trip. They, again, exceeded my expectations. Gusto Dogs is really the best! I first contacted Kristen when I moved downtown, and my biggest…read moreconcern was not being able to come home in the afternoons to take my dog out. Kristen and David (one of Gusto's dog walkers, and really, like, the greatest guy) came out to my apartment to meet my dog and set up a game plan. Everything clicked. I wasn't worried about not being there for my dog, and even more important, my dog was happy. But it's been all of the extra stuff that really makes these guys the best. 1) They're pros. These are not neighborhood kids trying to make extra money over the summer. I have absolutely no incidents to speak of. My dog is safe and happy when he's with them. 2) They go out of their way to provide the best service. Whenever I've had to make a last-minute change in my schedule, they've ALWAYS found a way to work around it so they can be there when I need them, even going so far as to rearrange their own schedules. One weekend, my fiance and I had overlapping trips and neither of us would be home for a 24-hour period. Kristen and the team were ready with a plan for swinging by throughout the day, making sure our dogs were fed, taken out, played with, and then put to bed. Oh, and my fiance's dog -- a very big ridgeback mix -- had just undergone serious knee surgery and had a strict medication schedule. No sweat for these guys. When I got home, everyone was happy and healthy. 3) Speaking of my fiance... it actually took me a little while to convince him that it was worth it to get his dog out for the daily walks. He had gone two years without needing someone to take his dog out in the afternoon, why pay someone to start doing it now? But it only took a week for us to notice a difference. His dog is BIG and VERY energetic, but with a 20-30 minute walk in the middle of the day, he's much calmer when we get home from work. Still a big barrel of fun and energy, but not running laps around the coffee table. 4) (And last one, promise) Our dogs love these guys. Their reaction when David shows up is hilarious. It's like their super-fun uncle just got there to take them out. As a dog owner, it makes me really happy to see my dog so happy. So, like I said, the Gusto team is amazing. We plan on using their services as long as they're offered (hopefully, forever). Could not recommend more highly.

We have utilized their services frequently for giving food, medicine, and lots of attention to our cats when we travel. I know that my sweet (and very affectionate) elder cat is in great hands when we are away from home, and am especially comforted when texts and pictures are sent letting me know that everything is ok. Gusto Dogs even has a special little helper who loves to give plenty of gentle pets when she has the chance to visit. They are insured, reliable, trustworthy, and so compassionate about animal care. I never worry for a second when we are away from home.

If your dog is more of a loner, they can accommodate them as well. I am picky about whom I will leave my dog with, and Onion Creek allows me to feel ok about boarding her there. As an aside, my dog was boarded there during a storm. Unfortunately, the power went out for an extended period of time. They determined that the power was not coming back on any time soon and arranged to have my dog taken to another facility that did have power and heat. I was impressed that they had a plan in place to make this kind of adjustment. It makes me believe they have plans and resources to manage almost any situation giving me further confidence in boarding my dog there. Also, their communication was excellent throughout the whole process.
