Took me months in rehab to get back to as normal as I could. I should have skipped the surgery and just gone to rehab. Then I got a letter saying he was moving to Ascension Medical Group, Seton Neurosurgery Southwest at 7900 Ranch to Market Road 1826 suite 203. There was a phone number and an email in the letter and I had a limited amount of time to request copies of my records. I sent an email the first time - no response. Then I called and got a guy who told me the girl was out but he would leave a message for her to call. Never could get a response from them so I wrote a letter to the Ascension Seton Office he has listed on his webpage. I also copied in the main office at Ascension Seton. They told me he was not with them. I had also mailed a letter requesting my records to him at that address and it came back as Vacated-moved. He must be trying to hide from someone. If he has started practice somewhere else you should avoid him at all costs.

I had a CT scan with contrast that was all clear minus a very small ovarian cyst. He advised me that no other type of scan would help and that there is nothing a CT scan with contrast could have missed that's related to my symptoms. He also said sometimes he wishes he could fake symptoms to get scans so he could rule out anything serious. That made me tear up and I told him that I am not faking symptoms to get scans - he immediately said he wasn't implying that. Just that I'm lucky to know it's not cancer or something more serious. My father has stage 3 colon cancer , my best friend has breast cancer, my work supervisor and friend"s mom has stage 4 brain cancer - so yes, I agree it's great a CT scan did not show any signs of that. Said I should come back if this gets worse (I went to see him because it was getting worse and my PCP had told me maybe I just needed a vacation). As any parent of a kid like mine knows , we don't have time to go to the doctors for ourselves. If I'm here , it's because it's already worse.

Jenna is his nurse And his been with him likely longer than I've been his patient as she was there when I went in for my bariatric consultation years ago. Last month Dr Fass did surgery on a large Para-esophageal Hernia with Nissan Fundiplication-he used a DaVinci Robot-He advised a 3 day post op stay-he did such a great job and I was up and about the next morning independently in my room-i discharged on day 2 post operation. He visited me daily. I like his bedside manner, He is caring but very confident and gives explicit directions on follow up care. Prior to surgery he gave me a very good picture of what to expect. He even advised there was a YouTube video that I could observe on the procedure he would be doing. He did not require any gastric surgery to be done when I had this repair unlike another surgeon where I was being treated prior. My incisions healed very nicely and very quickly with no signs or symptoms of infection. I highly recommend Dr. Steven Fass for general surgery as well as bariatric surgery.

I was particularly interested in getting back in shape as quick as possible; My wife had a good result with Dr. Quinton Dailey (doctor's degree in Physical therapy) so I had Dr. Gallagher refer me to Dr Quinton at Orthopedic Specialists of Austin. I didn't realize how stiff my knee would be after the surgery. I tended walk around like a peg leg pirate. Before the physical therapy sessions began, Dr. Dailey (or Dr. Q for short) emailed me some simple exercises to do at home to begin the process of regaining knee flexibility. When I began sessions at the office location, Dr. Q worked with me to arrange times convenient for me and where he could personally work with me. He always had a specific course of exercises laid out with weight, reps, etc. tailored to me. Exercises were a blend of balancing, strength, and flexibility. Dr. Q is obviously very familiar with TKR therapy and knows how to get you to where you need to be. Initially, Dr. Q was pretty careful to see that he wasn't giving me something too stressful or might cause me to fall. As he assessed my personal situation, he stepped the intensity level up to keep me constantly improving, emphasizing the areas I particularly needed to improve. This surprised me a little; there were some areas, primarily balance I thought I was better at than I actually was. At the end of my sessions I exceeded the recommended goals for flexibility and regained the strength and agility to resume the activities I like. I can walk 3 miles or more easily and play pickle ball without pain or swelling. Additionally, he emailed me a course of follow on exercises to continue at home. Finally, Quinton is a good guy and serious about what he is doing. He does have a good sense of humor though. I heartily recommend him if you need physical therapy..
