Extremely rude and not effective. If you are going for an actual medical apt- go somewhere else!

Absolutely the worst business I have ever witnessed in my entire life!! I went in for a wound…read more The dr didn't even touch the wound, she just said "it's healing well". All she was interested in was looking at moles and cutting them off. I paid my total before I left the office. No one called me with results for well over 3 weeks. Once they called, they were only interested in making THREE more appointments to remove more of the moles. They refused to do all three at once due to "insurance". I reminded them that I was cash pay but again they told me they could not do it in one visit. All they want is to make as much money off of you as possible. Now let me discuss their phone system. YOU cannot GET A HOLD OF THEM! I've called the office, numbers online, on receipt, I've left messages, I've waited on hold for 40 mins, they NEVER call you back! I recently received another bill, which I'm happy to pay, but I have no idea what the extra cost is for and there is absolutely no way to get a hold of a person to ask. If anyone goes to the office, please tell them to call me, but I would not recommend it! Waste of time!

I don't understand the negative reviews. I am very very satisfied with Tru-Skin in Bastrop, so much…read moreso that I'm embarrassed to say how far I drive for an appointment here. Rural healthcare is the pits and thankfully quality drs and staff are coming to the more rural areas. I'm almost 70, spent my younger years on the beaches in Hawaii, Texas and Florida, therefore lots of sun damage. For the last 25 years I've seen a derm at least every 6 months. Many surgeries, excisions and treatments for BCCs and AK's. I've seen Dermatologists that run you thru like cattle, miss spots that the next one finds, Drs who don't see well and allow their nurses to spot the cancers. There are Drs that are more about the cosmetic side. And some that are hard to work with on the insurance side. And many clinics don't know about or offer the latest technologies. NONE OF THAT HERE. I see Dr. Ma at this clinic. She was recommended to me by a friend who sees her in Hallettsville. I had a great Dr but he moved. She's as good as my last if not better. She's knowledgeable, efficient, great at explaining, respectful and she's fast. The staff is also great: receptionists, billing, nurses.. they also offer the latest (and greatest) treatment for BCC and SCC which is GENTLE CURE. It's a commitment but well worth avoiding more disfiguring scars on my face. Their Radiology Technologists are the best. It beats Mohs surgery by a mile!! I highly recommend this clinic.

What a joke. I was 10 feet in front of the receptionist for the full 60 minutes. Absolutely terrible experience and a poorly run office with zero customer service skills. Receptionist was pleasant but did not seem able to influence anybody.

(This review is for the STEINER Sanova location. Unfortunately they don't have their own Yelp page…read morefor that location) I had a good experience. I went in to talk about a big growth on the side of my head (hidden under my hair) that I wanted removed, as well as a general preventative skin check. Dr. Ted Lain was my doctor. He was friendly and had a very contagious positive personality about him. His nurse helper was very friendly as well. Everything happened so fast when they shaved off the growth, as well as a mole on my back they wanted to biopsy. Usually getting these procedures done freak me out but I didn't even have the time to freak out bc of how fast and efficiently it was done, lol. I also even briefly inquired about filler injection estimates and he was able to give me an estimate window right on the spot. They called me the following week with the results, and also sent me the results for my records when I asked. I liked this practice and my doc and I would go again :)

I felt that the provider barely examined me, which left me so uneasy that I scheduled an appointment with another dermatology practice. That dermatologist performed a much more thorough examination and ultimately removed two suspicious moles for biopsy. Given that experience, I was very concerned about the quality of my initial skin check. My second experience was with a different provider when I brought my 7-year-old daughter in for her first-ever dermatology appointment. I had three concerns I wanted addressed, and I was immediately made to feel like I was asking for too much by the nurse. As a parent, especially when taking a child to a specialist for the first time, I found that interaction incredibly frustrating and unwelcoming. They did prescribe medication for my daughter, but the pharmacy told me that the office needed to provide additional authorization. I called the office multiple times before finally receiving a call back and was told the process could take a few weeks. It has now been six weeks, and I have never heard back or received the prescription. What makes this even more frustrating is that my son received the exact same prescription from this office the previous year, using the same insurance and pharmacy, without any issues. Overall, I feel that both visits were a waste of my time and money. I expected much more thorough care, communication, and professionalism from a dermatology practice, especially when it comes to my children's health.

The entire WD team has been nothing but upfront with me about all bills and expenses, and the staff is truly incredible. I cannot sing their praises enough. From the consultant to reception to the nurses, anesthesiologist, and surgeon, Dr. Chike-Obi, everyone I've had the pleasure of interacting with has made me feel like I am in the very best of hands. Dr. Chike-Obi's team has also been extremely communicative. They have responded quickly to all of my emails, called in prescriptions I've requested same day, and one of the nurses, Nicole, even gave me her direct number so that I can conveniently call or text with any questions/concerns. I don't want to say I've been needy or high maintenance ... it is my body and a permanent procedure, so I should feel empowered to ask any and all questions that I have. But I certainly have reached out a lot, and I've been really pleased with the care and attention I've received. Most importantly, I am certain that the WD team is totally and completely dedicated to their clients' health and safety. I went in for my procedure, and when the team realized that I had a family history of malignant hyperthermia, they immediately reassessed and rescheduled my procedure to a date and time when every possible precaution could be taken on my behalf. Rob, my anesthesiologist, was so empathetic -- he answered all my questions and assured me that the new course of action would prevent any adverse reactions to the anesthesia and even make my recovery a bit easier. I've not yet had my surgery, but thanks to the WD team, I'll be going into it with very little worry. I feel confident that my procedure and the recovery process will be as pleasant as all my other interactions have been thus far. If you're looking for bargains or quick-turn procedures, this isn't your place. But personally, dermatological care and cosmetic work are not things I'd ever want a bargain on, nor would I ever want my care to be rushed. This is a top-notch practice. Very lucky that they're here in Austin!
