The procedure went well, I did not experience any pain or discomfort during and Mark and his team were professional and courteous. If you need dental work done, head here, you will be in good hands. Edit: It is now one week since the surgery. Marc used a local time released anesthetic on the extraction site and told me around day 3 there would be some pain. Day 1-3 there was almost no pain, on day 4 and 5 my jaw was a little tight but still very little pain, the surgery is now healed as far as I can tell and I couldn't be happier with the results. When I questioned that and offered that we could really go to any location, he was only able to bring that forward by 4 weeks to mid- June. Maybe I got the wrong agent, but it would seem most practices are more accommodating of urgent care scenarios. However, I recently had an experience that I feel compelled to share. During a family member's appointment, my son was charged on his personal credit card for a service that was for me. The office told him, "your parents will reimburse you." I find this practice very unethical. It is not appropriate to charge someone else's card for a service that was not for them without prior consent. Additionally, I was not contacted regarding my bill, which is concerning. The dollar amount was not the issue, I was fine with whatever cost structure was put in place. I believe it is important for patients to have control over their finances and to know exactly who is being charged for their services. Charging my son's personal credit card crosses a line and is something that needs to be addressed within the practice. I hope the management will review their billing practices to prevent this from happening to others. Despite this issue, I still appreciate the quality of dental care provided and hope to see improvements in their administrative procedures. Imaging should come with clear medical justification and informed consent, and this office policy felt billing-driven rather than patient-driven. There was absolutely no need for x-rays, especially as they took them less than 18 months ago. "We can't diagnose" without them is irrelevant when there is nothing to diagnose, and I take care of my teeth. Again, patients choice to avoid exposure to radiation. Not that hard.
