This yelp review is long overdue. My kids have seen Dr. Babot since they were children, living in SW Austin. Now we drive from Cedar Park all the way to south Austin because Dr. Babot and her staff are totally worth the drive. My teens are very challenging dental patients, but Dr. Babot and her team are gentle, patient, and very skilled on a dental level and on an interpersonal level. We are so grateful to have found Dr. Babot and her practice. Other details -- the place is sparkling clean, the billing is organized, and the practice is well managed. read more

This dental office is top notch! I love that they specialize in kids only. They make the kids feel very safe and assured. Dr. Carr is the absolute best! Her bedside manner is calm, nurturing and kind. She is very informative and takes time to explain what she is doing. My daughter loves her and wants to be a dentist! Dr. Carr and Lupe work so well as a team. We love Lupe too! This place is highly recommended! read more

Great welcoming place for kids dental services. My daughter was in & out for sealing her back molars. The staff was very reassuring with my daughter through the process. If you wear purple you will match the office decor. read more

Austin Kids Teeth - My daughter for dental visit - Pediatric Dentists Near Me - Austin, Texas

Love Dr. Babot! She is great with the kids and is thorough. We've been patients for 7 years and would highly recommend!!

Dr. Mary and staff are incredibly personable and attentive. They take the time to answer questions from myself and my child and treat him with as much respect as they would an adult. They are very efficient, as I rarely have to wait longer than a few minutes for my sons scheduled appointment. Clean, modern building with plenty of parking. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality dentist for your children. read more

I procrastinated taking my children to see a dentist because I was thinking it would be an unnecessarily traumatic situation for us all. I finally made an appointment here and was completely shocked at how easy and wonderful it was. My children (2 yo and 3 yo) both asked to go back and said they had fun. The hygienist and dentist were so friendly and patient, scheduling was a breeze, I have zero complaints. Super impressed with this place. read more

I have a special needs child who finds dental treatments difficult, and Dr. Babot and the rest of the team have gone above and beyond to meet his needs for several years. They're so good at working with children!! I sat there watching/listening to the hygienist with my 2.5yr old girl and was amazed! My daughter not only allowed them to clean her teeth, she thought it was fun!! I'm so thankful for Austin Kids Teeth & that my children are starting out with a positive dental experience! read more

Make sure you're in network if you come here, fillings are 243$/tooth.

Great dentists and great staff. Always easy to make an appointment and always run on time.

Very attentive staff, on-time appointments, very clean facility. We love coming to this place. Both Dr. Fuselier and Dr. Babot are wonderful providers, and they promote a staff that is knowledgeable and sensitive to each patient's needs. Our hygienist, Carol, gave my daughter the best pep-talk about keeping up with dental hygiene I have ever heard. It is not easy to create awareness on the teenage brain, so that was quite a feat! Look no further if you are looking for a pediatric dentist in South Austin. read more

Great pediatric dentist! Both my kids have been going to them for years and we have been really happy there.

My teenage son has been going to the Austin Kids teeth for over 10 years. The whole team is kind and great with kids. My son has no fear of going to the dentist and I'm grateful! read more

We were recommended by a close friend to bring our 6-year old daughter here. We brought her and she was evaluated for the first time by Melanie Babot. She was not complaining about any issues, this was just a regular checkup. The office is very kids friendly and they are very nice with both adults and kids. They found some cavities, and after cleaning/evaluating, they performed a pulpotomy and several fillings over the course of the next few days. Soon after that, my daughter developed an abscess in the tooth in which they performed the pulpotomy, and when we brought her over again, they told us that tooth had to be removed. At this point, after paying $1500, and putting our daughter through anesthetics/sedatives, we are feeling that instead of improving, her dental health is declining. This drove us to make a decision and take her to our traditional dentist office, that does not just specialize in kids. The new dentists confirmed that the tooth had to be removed, and after removing the tooth, they showed us how terrible of a job was done on her teeth. Her teeth were not properly sealed during the filling procedure, allowing for cavities / abscess to develop really quickly. We had to spend another couple thousands of dollars again, in order to repair and correct what was done before, and we are keeping a close eye on the other teeth hoping that they improve with all the repairs. I would definitely not recommend this dental office or Melanie Babot to anyone. Their office kids oriented and they treat their little patients well, but at least in our case, the procedures were executed so poorly, that we would have been much better not taking our daughter to the dentist. read more

We have been patients for 3+ years and been happy with Dr. Carr. My son isn't always cooperative and the hygienist team work well in getting him to come around to get his teeth cleaned. read more

I'm a mother of four children and have been using Austin Kids Teeth for years!!!! The dentists here are all amazing but Dr Babot is the bees knees!!! The assistants have the best personalities and are sensitive to the various personalities and fears of our little ones. Even the receptionists are sweet as can be!!!!!! They were fabulous during the transition of my twins' teeth to braces and worked hand in hand with their orthodontist to keep them on track. If you are looking for a top notch pediatric dentist, choose Austin Kids Teeth, you won't be disappointed!!!! read more

We have been bringing our son to Austin Kids Teeth since he was 18 months old. He's now 5, and love his dentist! Dr. Melanie(Babot) has been his regular dentist; she is fantastic at helping your kiddo not be intimidated by being in the chair. She even got our son to agree to his first X-ray's last fall(at 4.5) I like that she doesn't push fluoride unless medically necessary and then recommends it only until it's not needed. The office is designed well, with plenty of toys to play with, hold onto or for parents to distract with. We have also seen Dr. Mary(Fusilier) and she was great as well. They take insurance, but check first for tour plan,.of course. Feel confident and secure that Austin Kids Teeth will take the best care of your littles! read more

This is an amazing practice with great staff. We have been very happy with the care they have provided our daughter.

My 5 year old daughter was scared to go to the dentist. She had been with me a few times and I think that freaked her out a little. When I called to make the appt, I told them that and they assured me they would take care of her. When we went in, we did have to wait a little (appt was at 7:45 and we got in at 8:00) but the dental hygienist was amazing. She knew just what to say to my daughter to put her at ease. There's nothing like watching someone being sincerely nice to your child. She showed her everything and explained every move to her. read more

Love the office, love Dr. Babot. Everyone there is really nice, the office is attractively decorated, etc. We're still going there even after moving to the other side of town. read more

Love, love, love Austin Kids Teeth! We started going with our first child when Dr Babot was off of 71 and now all 3 of our boys go! Every one in the office is fabulous - we've seen all the Drs and you can be comfortable with any of them. Can't say enough good things - we'll go there till they tell us we're too old! :-) read more

We see a dentist up north but my 18M had a fall on Friday night and we saw Dr. Matthew Johnson, the on-call dentist, on Saturday morning and he was wonderful. He worked with our schedule and made the process of seeing a new provider very easy. The office was extremely clean and my son loved it. Dr. Johnson quickly fixed our problem and couldn't have been nicer on a Saturday! We greatly appreciate him!!! read more

We have been with Austin Kids teeth since 2006. They are wonderful with the kids and do whatever it takes to make the kids feel comfortable. 5 star children's dentist. read more

Austin Kids teeth is awesome!!!! I recently took my 3 1/2 year old son to see these guys and we had an amazingly positive experience. This was NOT my kiddos first time at a dentist. We went to another place when he was about 1 1/2 and it was a nightmare!!! Thank GOD this visit will be the first in his memory. These ladies know what they are doing! They have all kinds of tricks/toys/props to get even the squirlliest of kiddos to relax in the chair. The office is bright, colorful and super clean. It is even decorated with adorable hand made art pieces that are interactive for the patients. There are toys and prizes. They have every single angle covered! Everyone in there from the receptionist to the hygienist to Dr. Babot was extremely warm and friendly. I recommend this office to anyone with a difficult child or just plain old fear of the dentist!!! Wondering if they will take me as a patient!! read more

I have a similar experience as J.W. with the doctor being really pushy with sedatives. Our kids came here for almost two years, everything was fine. The office is very kid friendly: books, toys everywhere. They loved getting a prize from a treasure box. I give these guys credit, as they helped my kids not be afraid of the dentist. However, when the time came to do dental work, Dr. Babot insisted on general anesthesia. I explained I was not comfortable doing it as my son had a murmur. She was cranky and acted like I don't know what I am talking about. She assured me that in her 28 or whatever years of practice nothing bad ever happened, but eventually she agreed to do laughing gas. At the appointment she was impatient, did only one of two fillings, and said she would only be able to do the other one under GA. Yup. So we went to another dentist (my dentist who works on adults AND kids) who confirmed my suspicion that the procedure was not urgent and there certainly was no need in general anesthesia. I understand it is easier to work on kids when they are knocked out. However, when I started questioning the safety of those sedatives, I was met with a glare, clenched teeth, and judgy snappy responses. So we are not going back there. read more

My kids have seen Dr Babot for 16 years. She and her staff are super friendly and gentle with my kids. They always remember us, and my kids even look forward to going to the dentist. Really! I wish she saw adults because I would go too! This office sees kids all the way up until they go to college and a couple years after. read more

I will say the Doctors at Austin & Buda Kids teeth are really good. However, dont ever make an 6 month checkup appt in advance, because most likely you will forget, their office will not make a reminder call, and then proceed to charge you for a missed appt. Hence, loss of a 6 yr patient... read more

My two daughters have been patients of Dr. Mary for several years. They love going to the dentist and ask when we are going again. Everything from the decor to the staff is very kid friendly. We never have to wait and everything always goes smooth and as expected. Very happy customers! read more

My daughter is 15 now but still prefers to go to Austin Kids Teeth. We see both Dr Fuselier and Dr Johnson and they are wonderful.

Love, love, love this dental office! I wish they would see adults as well! The staff is always friendly, the dental hygienists are great with the kids, lots of flavors for the kids to choose from during their cleaning and what child doesn't like a small prize at the end? We have seen Dr. Babot and T for at least 7 years if not longer. Having movies for the kids to watch is a plus during procedures and preventive care is also a plus! Highly recommend this office to anyone who has small children! read more

The staff here are so friendly and the place is just happy and welcoming. It doesn't feel like an office. It much more warm. My kids always feel so comfortable and actually look forward to it! read more

This dentist office is awesome!! This was my daughter's first visit to the dentist, I had no idea how they were going to get a 3 year old to open her mouth much less clean her teeth but somehow they did. She went said later that day that going to the dentist is fun. read more

I've been bringing my kids to Dr. Babot since they were 5 and 7, they are now 13 and 15 and we've always been happy with their treatment. We went through a couple of dentists before Dr Babot was recommended to us by a friend. My kids never mind going there and we are always greeted like an old friend. The staff is very friendly and will ensure you're comfortable and happy. I highly recommend Austin Kids Teeth. read more

Have been here twice with all four kids for check ups. Neither time have we been disappointed! Dr Fuselier is awesome, and we had a positive experience with Dr. Johnson for sealants. The staff is friendly, caring, and genuinely nice! No complaints! read more

I love this team!!! We have been going to Austin Kids Teeth for 5 years and my kids LOVE going to the dentist! Seriously. Our kids are so comfortable that we've never had to use the option of putting on a movie except for once when our daughter had a tooth pulled. Our regular dentist is Dr Babot but we have seen Dr Fuselier when Dr Babot hasn't been available for some last minutes appointments. They are both fabulous, very warm, very willing to answer questions (including some of the crazy ones I happen to come up with). The hygienists are also so fabulous, their smiles are huge, and they a so gentle with the kids. They both give great feedback on what is going right and what can be improved for taking care of your kids' teeth. The back office is also a pleasure to work with. Consider yourself extremely lucky to have found such a treasure of a pediatric dental office. read more

We did not have a very good experience with Austin Kids Teeth. I didn't feel like my opinion was valued regarding the (over)use of sedatives and nitrous oxide in their office and was billed for an "exam" when the dentist spent a total of sixty seconds looking in my child's mouth. I really wanted to like them because of all the great reviews but will not return because of my experience there. read more

I love these group of dentists and because I do when we moved I know drive an hour to see them. We love Dr Mary, Dr Babot and just got to see Dr Courtney for the first time.(she is very sweet!) Even when my insurance changed and they are not in network I still choose to see them and pay a slightly higher price. I have a lot of issues with my teeth and do everything I can to prevent that for my kids. First the importance of sealants and Dr Mary helped me come up with a plan since I am on a teachers salary and my insurance didn't cover it on baby teeth. 2nd my sons teeth enamel didn't fully form as a baby and as a result has a few week teeth. After the front chipped she has helped me to keep a filling on after multiple times it coming off. All staff are super friendly and when you see them they remember you and ask about the things going on in the kids life. It's a real family feeling when you go in there. You know dentists are great when your kids look forward to going to the dentist. I hated the dentist. You won't be disappointed! (Wish I lived closer.) read more
