I hired It's a Family Thing Landscaping after my backyard became completely overgrown with weeds…read more Because of ongoing lower back problems, there was no way I could tackle the job myself, and I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I contacted a few landscaping companies for estimates, but the quotes were well beyond my budget. Andre responded to my inquiry within an hour, came out when he said he would, and provided a price that was much more affordable. What impressed me most was the work ethic. Andre, his wife, and their two sons spent two full days transforming my backyard. It was obvious that this was physically demanding, painstaking work, yet they stayed focused and professional the entire time. Andre kept me updated throughout the project and communicated clearly from start to finish. One thing that stood out to me was that Andre and his family treated my yard as if it were their own. They paid attention to details, worked carefully, and never seemed interested in simply getting the job done as quickly as possible. They took pride in their work, and the results speak for themselves. My backyard looks completely different than it did before they arrived. Everyone in the family was kind, respectful, and genuinely appreciative of the opportunity to work on my property. Honestly, I feel grateful that Andre took on my job. It's not often that you find someone who is responsive, dependable, hardworking, and reasonably priced all at the same time. If you're looking for a landscaping company that shows up, works hard, communicates well, and delivers excellent value, I would not hesitate to recommend It's a Family Thing Landscaping.

They stayed into evening, working with a light. They wouldn't rest until they got it done. When they finally did, they made sure to clean up everything (in the dark). It was super impressive. Most other companies sub-contract the actual installation to 3rd parties. In my experience, this caused confusion and sub-standard work. In Oct 2020, M&R Seamless Rain Gutters installed our new gutters in Cedar Park. I chose them after comparing their service/estimate with (5) other companies. I found many other satisfied customers (look here on Yelp*). M&R Seamless Rain Gutters are very competitive on price, without cutting corners on quality. M&R carefully reviewed my needs and pointed out value-added features that were not expensive. They clearly explained why the competitors estimates were overcharging for over-sized gutters and services. The installation started/finished right on schedule with a friendly team. They completed the install efficiently with great attention to detail. The team clearly explained the warranty and offered to follow-up on the workmanship.

Fast forward to the past two months where Jarin made our vision a reality and I am BLOWN AWAY with how he has transformed our outdoor space. Unlike many contractors, Jarin takes time to listen. Not only that, he takes time to make recommendations based on future projects he's not yet contracted for. He first installed our 16x16 foot cedar plank pressure treated deck, paying close attention to how this deck would be part of a larger project. He made recommendations such as installing shorter steps on one side to make a natural walkway from opposite sides, to designing the stairs that lead to our firepit area in such a way that it's GORGEOUS. He heard my dream of having a sunket firepit and brought it to life! He made recommendations on size according to budget and even hunted down the exact type and color gravel we envisioned. He was always courteous and patient with response times and I knew every step of the way we were in great hands. Y'all...a sunken firepit is the ultimate Pinterest dream come to life. And then...I dropped another request. To help us install a 10.5ft x 6 foot outdoor movie screen because if you're going to be extra, just go for it! Once again, Jarin came to the rescue and made a design recommendation that fit not only our style but very specific needs to make it accessible and removable. The photos don't do it justice. We christened it this weekend and I am so happy to post this review for him. He's truly a professional and will deliver results worth every dollar you spend and more. He's even gone so far to help bring additional crew to work on exterior house repairs and in the future, house painting. If Jarin isn't available, I recommend you wait until you can hire him! You won't be disappointed.
