A Wonderful Hidden Gem in Santa Ana! Excellent Service and Amazing Atmosphere!…read more I happened to discover Casa Ramos in Santa Ana while visiting the mall and leaving Macy's. I noticed the restaurant and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! Sometimes the best experiences happen when you least expect them. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how beautiful, welcoming, and inviting the place was. It has a wonderful atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and happy to be there. What made my visit even more special was the outstanding service I received from my waitress, Fany. She was absolutely wonderful, very pleasant, attentive, and welcoming. Her kindness and professionalism made the experience even more enjoyable. A great restaurant is not just about the food or the atmosphere; it's also about the people who make you feel appreciated as a customer, and Fany certainly did that. I'm very happy I decided to stop by Casa Ramos, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely place to enjoy a meal and receive excellent hospitality. A special thank-you to Fany for making my visit so memorable! Employees like her are a true asset to any restaurant. I will definitely be happy to return and visit again. Keep up the great work, Casa Ramos! You have a beautiful establishment, and with wonderful people like Fany on your team, you give customers a reason to come back. Highly recommended!

Before walking in, I told myself that I'd get my usual, Ensenada fish/Ensenada shrimp tacos with rice and beans. I ordered the Camarones de ajo and omg, so beyond delicious. I forced myself to stop eating mid-plate because I wanted to take it home so that I could savor it at home too. We also got the chips and salsa and the new wings as appetizers. Even though the chips aren't free anymore, we always have to get it because it's just that good, with their salsa. The wings were also just as good. I obviously forgot all the names of the plates because I was just so excited and happy being able to eat in such a beautiful restaurant. I used to LOVE coming to this place... until I realized their customer service seriously sucked…read more First off, the food is honestly a little on the salty side, but I kept coming back because I liked the place. Then this happened. I brought my family here for dinner, and when we were closing out the check, the server failed to mention that gratuity was automatically added for a party of 6. I didn't realize it until I was about to sign and saw that I was about to leave ANOTHER tip on top of the automatic gratuity. I was like, oh HELL NO, I'm not tipping $80+ So I asked the server to refund the entire transaction and rerun the payment correctly. She told me she couldn't do that, but said she could refund the extra tip instead. I said okay, trusting that she knew what she was doing. We left. Fast forward about 4-6 months later. I come back with different family members, and the MANAGER comes over and tells me I have an outstanding balance of around $150. At first I genuinely thought he was joking. Nope. Apparently, when the server was supposed to refund the extra tip, she accidentally refunded the ENTIRE BILL and kept the tip. ‍ Now explain to me HOW that was my problem?! I specifically told her I wanted the entire transaction refunded so we could start over, and SHE chose to handle it differently. That was THEIR mistake, not mine. And the worst part? Instead of pulling me aside privately and explaining what happened, the manager brought this up IN FRONT OF THE FAMILY I WAS WITH. So now I'm sitting there being told I owe $150+ in front of my guests because of an error THEIR employee made months earlier. Talk about embarrassing. Thank God I'm in a position where I could afford to pay it, so I paid the outstanding amount AND my new bill that day -- over $300 out of pocket -- just to resolve the whole situation. I paid everything they said I owed for both visits, and I have never gone back since. And I WILL NEVER go back. Between the salty-ass food and the customer service, I'll take my money somewhere else. Just sharing my TRUE experience because I think customers deserve to know what happened.
