This is the dog park looking down from Santa Ana canyon rd .

Nice rusk type friendly area , patrons were all pleasant with their animals and hikers on the move will visit again .Big dogs gave a good area to run around and small digs have a separate if needed

I've been taking my puppy, Honey, here pretty consistently for a couple of weeks now. All the dogs I've encountered have been super friendly! Some are a little rough, but they're dogs so that's completely normal. They do separate big dogs from little dogs, but you're able to bring your pup in the area of your choice. Overall, it's nice little park with lots of area to run around and play in. It's also very convenient since it's only a mile away from my home. Honey LOVES playing with her new friends :)

Nice park if you need to let the dogs run before heading up the mountains. Nice green grass with central located water fountain. Plus there were plenty of dogs to play with.

Scioscia loves the park.

Kind of disappointed. Just moved to San Bernardino and decided to try this dog park and there aren't any other dogs here!

IRRESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS HERE!!! first time at this park, I…read morewent and nobody was there around 12pm. a while later This older couple comes in with their husky and let him off the leash, and the interaction is semi-okay but my dog isn't even a year so I made sure to keep him close since I don't know how he would act. He is generally just overly excited and wants to run up and greet but i don't let him yet. This couples dog came over and their dog kept trying to mount my puppy. All they did was say "no humping" and let him run around still. I should have known and took him out but I wasn't quick enough. I talked to the lady a little bit and her comments were just very questionable like as if because my dog is a pitbull that makes him the one in the wrong automatically. Their husky completely ignored them and then ignored me and even as my pup was right next to me with his leash , started to try mounting my pup again. my dog didn't like that and a scuffle ensued. I got bit in the midst of it all, and even as their dog had my dogs face in its mouth, they just kept saying "let go" and tried getting him back on the leash. My dog was pretty shaken and even after he stopped, their dog STILL came after mine and bit him in the leg and tried pulling and all they said was "let go of him" like it was no big deal. I was too busy making sure my dog was good and looked at my wound and by the time I looked back they were out the gate and already pretty much gone as the man's wife was saying "that's it," and some other things. before they walked away as i was holding my dog she had the nerve to say "you should still be careful of pit bulls.." and other nonsense. EXCUSE ME?! I did right by containing my dog and the nerve to try to blame it on my dogs breed when it was THEIR HUSKY who wouldn't leave mine alone. I have some good puncture wounds and the fact that they just left is completely irresponsible. I'm guessing it was their first time there like mine but to just leave and not even see if my dog or me were okay is extremely fucked up. My dog is a puppy, i've had him less than a month. He is new to everything after I adopted him from SB animal shelter, and so I wanted to introduce him to some new sights, smells, and other dogs. He doesn't really know how to act so when someone came in I put him on the leash since he gets overly excited. I did my part and felt I was being a responsible owner by making sure he stayed close and leashed even in the park. he doesn't even know aggression because he has never been exposed to anything like that. he is all play. I was by myself and the fact that they didn't even take responsibility. there was no sorry, just running away. The couple was an older couple, looked caucasian. the lady had a hat and sunglasses. don't remember the man too much. we were all talking and everything seemed to be "fine" but they didn't control their dog. I would have gotten their information but the way they left so fast and were already gone by the time I got up is crazy. I would definitely remember them if I saw them. My dog was so defeated, he has a small limp and I had to carry him partly to the car and inside once we got home. i'm very disappointed because it's my first dog and our first time at the dog park. I felt I was prepared to the best of my ability and I know some other people aren't as responsible for their dogs but it's common sense if yours dog doesn't know how to act you take control. This was a lesson learned and I hope that this can help others in the future. i'm more disappointed in the fact that they just left me and my dog like this and didnt even check if we were okay. they were only concerned with getting their dog out and leaving because they were judgmental about my dog and trying to place blame. I'm still in shock.

Wow this park is amazing, it was very windy and foggy but the kids didn't mind. We brought blankets so through them over us lol and walked over. They have swings when you first walk up, but if you walk a bit further they have the playground. They also have a tennis or bad mitten court and basketball courts too. The playground is so nice and clean and they have a cool zip line for the kids to play on, they loved that so much and had a blast going on it lol. It even has a cute little gazebo such a beautiful park. The girls had a blast we would love to come here again. If you have never been to MacKay Park you should if you have little ones it's really beautiful here. Even if you don't it's peaceful and in the mountains and so lovely. The parking lot is pretty big too so plenty for everyone. Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone :) Aloha

Upon arriving, parking lot is not as big as you would expect, we squeezed in besides the trash cans to park, however it was really clean, and everyone's vibe is nothing but smiles and nods. They do have bathrooms, on the right hand side near the parking lot are swings, to the left and middle part closer to the parking lot has two pickleball courts, and if you walk past the swings the walkway leads to a view and a children's playground. My fiancée and I came for the dog park, which was literally a walk to the left past the actual parking lot. Spacious with a few trees and limited spots for shade. But enough room for your furry friends to stretch their legs!

The only issue was it had a sign on each side of the park one for large dogs only one for small dogs only I took both my dogs into the large dog only side although I had one small and one big, didn't know what your really supposed to do but it wasn't a problem. Another person also came with the large and small dog and took them both into the large dog side also. All together with my nephews nieces and sister-in-law we had five dogs with us, very pleasant. Other people showed up and all the dogs seem to get along great none of them on a dog , it was wonderful to see them all be able to run around and have fun together. Would definitely recommend this park to others. Oh one more issue was the street address shows Limonite Street although the only way to enter the street was on a side street. If you stay on Limonite you just drive right past so we had to turn a u-turn and go back past the park and turn left on another side street in order to access the park. If anyone at the park is reading this I would have them consider changing the name of the street address to match the access Street. They even had some poop bags tied on the fence in case you forget yours although I did run into one old poop that someone did not pick up. I would recommend you pick up after your dog, it's only courteous. Try out this park you'll learn to love it yourself . David

One of the larger ducks was acting like a puppy - it was so endearing and frightening at the same time. Right now there's a lot of construction. The main restroom area is being worked on. To reach the ponds, after you park, you'll need to walk upwards to the left where there is a dirt foot trail to the ponds. There are two ponds. The first one that you'll see, is the smaller one. There are a few ducks that were here when we arrived. We saw several people fishing in this pond because the park recently stocked up the pond with fish. Although, when I spoke to someone who was leaving, they caught 3 fishes and were heading home. Another person who just arrived an hour earlier, still didn't catch any fish. My advice is to go early in the morning when the fish are hungry to catch the fish. To see the larger pond, just keep heading upwards to the right and you'll immediately see it to your left. This pond has most of the ducks congregating here. We saw less people fishing at this pond maybe because there were more ducks. The main reason to going to this park was to feed the ducks. You're not supposed to feed them bread. We brought bird seeds and sunflower seeds (with no salt) with us. When we went, there were three types of ducks: Mallards (The males have the pretty green colored feathers from their head to their necks while the females are covered with different shades of brown. I like the light tan feathered ones. You may see the all-white feathered Mallard which is pretty too.) Muscovy (they look like they're wearing red masks lol) The ones here were rather large compared to the other ducks. American Wigeon (they're smaller than the Mallard & Muscovy with green feather streak from their eyes going down their necks. At the top of their heads, the feathers are a white streak going down their necks as well. The main part of their body is covered with brown feathers.) Overall, we had an enjoyable time here feeding the ducks and relaxing in the park. Great free activity to bring along your kids to see the ducks. Just remember not to feed them bread because it lacks nutritional value and can lead to health problems for the birds.

Located in the back of a residential area, the park features relaxing energy with some beautiful nature / mountain views. If you're looking for a place to see the famous Big Bear Wild Burros (donkeys), they are often roaming around this neighborhood, especially if you take Lakewood Drive to the back of the neighborhood. Sometimes they can be seen wandering around The Ranch Park, especially when it's early in the morning or late in the evening and not super crowded. There's a really nice fenced in dog park (The Ranch Bark Park), but also lots of other features including a playground, climbing rock, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a ADA-friendly walking path. Parking has never once been an issue in all the years that I've been visiting this park. There's a large free lot in the center of the park, as well as an additional lot across the street, and other places in the neighborhood where you could park on the street if you needed to. No structured bathrooms, but lots of porta potties that are regularly checked and usually pretty clean.
