Great park to bring a toddler who likes to feed animals. Last visit, brought some frozen veggies to feed the ducks. One of the larger ducks was acting like a puppy - it was so endearing and frightening at the same time. Right now there's a lot of construction. The main restroom area is being worked on. The parking near the dog park fills up quickly. I prefer this parking area compared to the main lot on the other side of the tennis courts. I love how they have racket ball courts but hardly see anyone using them. Overall, solid park and amenities. read more

This was my first visit to Ford Park. There's parking available, but the spots can fill up quickly. To reach the ponds, after you park, you'll need to walk upwards to the left where there is a dirt foot trail to the ponds. There are two ponds. The first one that you'll see, is the smaller one. There are a few ducks that were here when we arrived. We saw several people fishing in this pond because the park recently stocked up the pond with fish. Although, when I spoke to someone who was leaving, they caught 3 fishes and were heading home. Another person who just arrived an hour earlier, still didn't catch any fish. My advice is to go early in the morning when the fish are hungry to catch the fish. To see the larger pond, just keep heading upwards to the right and you'll immediately see it to your left. This pond has most of the ducks congregating here. We saw less people fishing at this pond maybe because there were more ducks. The main reason to going to this park was to feed the ducks. You're not supposed to feed them bread. We brought bird seeds and sunflower seeds (with no salt) with us. When we went, there were three types of ducks: Mallards (The males have the pretty green colored feathers from their head to their necks while the females are covered with different shades of brown. I like the light tan feathered ones. You may see the all-white feathered Mallard which is pretty too.) Muscovy (they look like they're wearing red masks lol) The ones here were rather large compared to the other ducks. American Wigeon (they're smaller than the Mallard & Muscovy with green feather streak from their eyes going down their necks. At the top of their heads, the feathers are a white streak going down their necks as well. The main part of their body is covered with brown feathers.) Overall, we had an enjoyable time here feeding the ducks and relaxing in the park. Great free activity to bring along your kids to see the ducks. Just remember not to feed them bread because it lacks nutritional value and can lead to health problems for the birds. read more

South west of 10 freeway Ford st. exit in Redlands. Nice quiet place to spend some relaxation or activities like walking or playing. Have come here when my kids were still small for picnics and just to play. It's still a beautiful place to visit. Even the ponds (2) are still here maintained & ducks swimming around having a good time. Good place for walking exercise as it is hilly full of grass but still have paved pathways as an alternate choice. Most likely coming back here again. This time with the grand kids telling them about memories & time spent with their parents then. read more

Park is clean excluding the occasional fisherman who doesn't clean up after themselves or dog owner who doesn't pick up after their dog. I snagged on and dragged out about 50 yds of line when fishing. One pond is pretty much crystal clear and the other has a blue dye. These fish are extremely pressured so good luck catching anything with artificial lures! Bait and wait seems like the way to go, but I didn't have enough time to look for any of the crawfish that are in the pond. I'm not sure if they stock trout or catfish here but I wouldn't doubt that they do, just gotta look into it but I don't live in this area. Caught and released of course! read more

I've been visiting this park for many years, and it's always been very well maintained. The tennis and pickleball courts are popular and frequently in use. There are two scenic lakes with plenty of waterfowl, and you'll often see people fishing along the shore. On weekends, it's a favorite spot for families, giving the park a welcoming, community vibe. Safety has never been a concern--I've never encountered any issues here. The dog park is spacious and thoughtfully divided into separate areas for small and large breeds. It's always fun to watch the dogs play. The restrooms are modern and clean, which is a big plus. There are plenty of picnic areas throughout the park, though none specifically designed for big group gatherings. Parking is generally available, but it can fill up--especially on the side closest to the dog park. As a bonus, there's a Starbucks nearby if you want to grab a coffee before or after your visit. read more

For Redlands, this is a good sized park. While the parking is a bit small for its size, the park has plenty to offer most families. By the parking lot is the racket ball courts, tennis courts and pickle ball courts. You'll have to check the rules for playing, they are extremely popular. There are plenty of jungle gyms for children. This park has 2 ponds with ducks, and at least one turtle (see photo). A great children's introduction to the outdoors. Additionally, there is plenty of open, grassy space for kids to kick balls and burn off energy. For those of all ages, there is frisbee golf. For those of any skill set, its a good way of throwing a frisbee without too much chasing of errand throws. read more

Does anyone know if and when they stock the lakes here ? I wanna bring my 6 yr old here to try and catch something

Nice big park with a few different things available. Fishing Dog park Frisbee golf Children's Park Tennis courts Two very big open fields quite a few picnic areas spread out They have cleaned up the park and added a cement sidewalk around the 2 lakes which is nice because it used to be just dirt. Lakes- lots of ducks and not very much luck for fishing tho . Park- nice small park with swings for kids Grass- always cut and clean Bathroom- out of service by the lake sucks . The bathroom by the park usually doesn't have soap available and the metal seats are ice cold Dog park - my pups love to vist with small dogs and run around together. The only downside is it's just a fenced open field nothing special. If the dogs are friendly it's a fun time but sometimes some dogs don't mix well together than not so much . It's separate for small and big dogs but unfortunately some ppl with both size don't like to separate which is understandable but also can makes us with smaller dogs or extra small dogs feel uncomfortable with not knowing how that big dog may react or accidentally hurt the smaller ones . My personal experience/observations with using the small dog side only . read more

Nice date spot imo. My date and I thought the area was peaceful and clean and I had an easy time getting parking by the dog park (which are right next to the ponds). there's families at the pond and the geese swimming around in the water. read more

Nice park with ducks and a beautiful pond and scenery. Great for kids to have fun and play at.

Reviewing tennis court area only as I didn't venture out o the rest of the park even though it looked very green and spacious. Got there on a beautiful Sunday afternoon around 12:30 which was still too late get a court as they were all full (good thing the father in law was there saving our spot). The volleyball court, paddle board court and a few handball courts were already occupied with too many people for me to feel comfortable since I noticed that nobody wore masks. I have no idea what the rules are in this county but it was just an observation I made. Another observation was that the crowds of people were mostly on their 20s & 30s, with loud music coming from all directions. Nevertheless, everyone was respectful and minded their own business for the most part. I was just very surprised to see so many people ... Redlands isn't such a quiet place after all! read more

Cute park to take some cute pics in. Wish it was a bit cleaner but ehh it's okay. Parking was not the best to

Ford is arguably the best park in Redlands. There's a playground, clean-ish bathrooms, lots of lawn, picnic tables, barbecues, ponds with ducks, turtles and fish, a dog park, a frisbee golf course and tennis courts. Then why 3 stars instead of 5? Sadly, the most useful park in Redlands is also one of the least accessible. There are no paths (paved or unpaved) through the park so it's not wheelchair or stroller friendly. Also the main parking lot is accessed from the end of Parkford Street and the city has approved a commercial development there without addressing traffic, so it's about to be a whole lot harder to get to. read more

If you want to park close and not have to walk much my advice is to get there early! You will have to walk a ways after parking on the street because there's not much parking for a park that claims to be 27 acres...there is parking near the dog park, but there are signs saying only authorized are allowed but it doesn't stop people from parking up there. Park at your own risk... read more

This is a great little spot to take the family and your fur babies! There are grills nearby the pond (you can fish there) and the playground and restrooms aren't too far away either. There was just a bit a garbage but not too bad at all, just a few remnants of some inconsiderate folks not picking up after themselves. Careful, there are hills and you could twist an ankle or worse if you're not paying attention as you walk. Really a quite serene little park, would definitely recommend a visit. read more

I took my grandson to Ford park on Saturday to see the ducks and enjoy being outside. The entire area surrounding the green dirty algae lake was full of trash and yards and yards of empty beer cans to go with it. I could not believe how much trash people left all over the area! The place looked like a dump. It's horrible that we can not enjoy coming here. I thought it being in Redlands it would be okay to come here. read more

Went back for second time, my had a Blast! Wifey and kids loved it too, if you need some air and space this is a good spot. Huge park lots of different sections to chill, picnic, play etc.... Although the playground is clean and nicely shaded I feel it's a bit small for the size of the park. There's a lot of nature I recommend bringing boots or shoes u don't mind getting a little dirty. There's still a lot of nice unkept areas tho that won't get u filthy. This makes loma Linda park look like sh*t lol which it is literally full of horse sh*t yah we will take the extra seven min drive from now on . read more

I remember going to this park as a child and now I bring my kids here so there are a lot of memories. Large park with hills, ponds, grass, and trees. There's a nice playset for the kids and feeding the ducks is always a fun activity. There's also a frisbee golf course here as well as tennis courts and a dog area, so there's a lot to offer. Only downside is the edges of the pond and water sometimes doesn't seem well maintained and looks a little dirty but maybe that's how a pond is supposed to look like. read more

Nice park with old Redlands character, came here tonight to play tennis on the courts because there are lights (woohoo!) but unfortunately they are metered in such a way that you have to pay via quarters to turn them on which was a huge bummer. Good thing I have spare change already with me. PSA one quarter only gives you 10 mins of light time! Use it carefully!!! Bathrooms are reeProbably laticely close by and accessible to both the courts and parking lot. I probably won't come back here to play tennis again at night due to having to pay for the lights at a public park. But perhaps I will only play during the day here as there are plenty of courts to play on unlike most public tennis courts. read more

This spot is good for so many people: Dog park for owners and lovers; open space grass for picnics; Pond for viewing, ducks and fishermen; and playground for kids and parents. It's a beautiful serene space that packs a lot in a moderate amount of space. There's two parking lots, one by the dog park and another by the playground. I was going to make it 4 stars for the small playground but going to do 5 for the two parking lots. read more

Easy parking and not over crowded. At least when we went. It's in the middle of the city, so it's nice to get away for a bit. You can feed the ducks or take your dog to the dog park. They also have a playground. Great place for a picnic. read more

This is a pleasant little park off of Ford Ave, and Parkside. It has tennis courts, racket ball courts and couple of ponds with ducks and little turtles. I saw a few men fishing in the ponds so perhaps catch & release is allowed? The park was well maintained and very clean. I did not notice any graffiti which is a plus. read more

Frisbee golf, and it's FREE! I mean, you can't really argue with free, can you? There's frisbee golf, and the actual park is nice. There's a dog park there as well and a gross ass lake where you can lose your frisbee in. (I cheat and throw from a safe area). Grass is green, it's not muddy and there's a child's playground there as well. There are hella ducks in the stank lake too. -1 star bc the bathrooms had NO STALL DOORS in them except for the handicap stall, wtf. But considering that this is the closest and only free disc golf place I know of- it's not bad at all! :) read more

I went here today and there were a lot of ducks, which is what we went for. The lake is barely a lake, it's so small. I didn't see the 2nd one though. The dog park is cool and a lot of people were using it. The reason for losing a star is that the lakes are super hard to find. We had to ask someone where they were. They're on a hill and hidden. We had a good time though. read more

Ford park is in my opinion one of the prettiest parks in Redlands. Its always very peaceful and a nice place to come to relax. The playgrounds make it a great option for kids and the attached tennis courts are also a fun option for those who are into that. One of Redlands better parks. Playground, dog park, pond, BBQ's, picnic tables, tennis courts, plenty of green grass. Maintained fairly well. The ponds could use some work, but still one of Redlands cleaner and safer parks minus the crazy frisbee guys when ya hear "HEADS!" do watch out. I enjoy this park because when I take my kid here there usually are not creepy bums hanging all over the place like many other public places in Redlands. Usually just happy family and dog loving crowds even into the early evening. read more

A large park that includes a wide variety of activities: tennis courts, bbq grills, picnic tables, frisbee golf, dog park, and wide open spaces. We had a great time during Memorial Day hanging it out with family. The park is well maintained with clean public restrooms. We also had the opportunity to put up my slacking bear our picnic table. There is also pond at the top of the hill. The park can be easily accessed from the 10 freeway off the Ford Exit. read more

Beautiful, large park. I love the ducks in the ponds, though I wish people would stop recommending bread to feed them, bread is terrible for ducks. I was there last weekend for bird watching, and I noticed three injured ducks so I notified the city on Monday. I really hope people or dogs are not harming them. One was missing a foot, one had a hole in it's foot, and one look like someone cut it's wings on both sides. Poor creatures. read more

I come here to feed the ducks and geese. It's always clean and quiet, but watch out for people playing frisbee golf, those discs can be pretty painful if you get hit with them. There's two ponds which is cool, and people fish in them. Also a white bird with a red face and gimp wing, Rasputin is really cool and he will catch bread in the air like a dog if you throw it to him. Very relaxing and enjoyable park. read more

This is a nice park in red light and it's kind of tucked away off of Redland Lane but it's very large with lots of options in terms of walking dog parks basketball softball if you name it looks like it's all here. I would the parking is a little tricky I would Google Map it or Yelp it first to make sure you know where you're going. There's a nice assortment of trees for plenty of shade and it's very nice aesthetically as well palm trees and pine trees. They have a few walking trails so if you wanted to take the dog for a walk or go on a nice walk with the friend those options are available. Although it's 107 degrees today it's a gorgeous setting and sitting in the shade makes it all worthwhile. Bathrooms are limited and so are drinking fountains so you probably want to bring something to drink and use the restroom before you come because there aren't very many available. read more

Google "4 reasons why feeding bread to ducks is stupid" or just anything to do with this topic. Feeding the ducks bread is hurting their health, especially In ducklings, and hurting the ponds they live in (molded or uneaten bread attracts rodents and fosters disease). Feed them oats, rice, grapes cut in half, soft peas or soft corn and help the ducks and pond be healthy! read more

Ford Park is a wonderful place to entertain your kids, your dogs and yourself. There is 1 active duck pond with yes somewhat sketchy water but it appears the ducks and geese are happy and procreating. Don't like dead fish? Then don't let your kids play with the dead fish (I haven't seen that many). They always seem to be making improvements to this park whether it is adding picnic tables, adding turtles or mowing the lawn. The dog park is full of friendly, dog and children loving people, the playground is a nice size and it is full of open green space to run and wear your children (whether they are human or furry) out. My only complaint is the odd, gender unspecified Asian person who holds a walking stick and spits at my children and dog. I could do without this odd person but otherwise Ford Park is one of my favorite places to go for Zen. read more
