My dog Luigi had a great time running around even with the foot of snow! Such a great spot for him.

    Plenty running space

Was a good spot for my dog to run around, do his business, and tire himself out before a drive back down the mountains. A few people were there and they and their dogs were friendly. Small dog area looked kinda wimpy, but the large dog area looked spacious enough. There is a blind spot, but that's alright if you are okay with that. Good spot overall and would come back when in the area.

Kinda-small dog park. On the lake, but not touching the water. It has area for large and small dogs. Made with sand which isn't great because the dogs get dirty and sand gets in the car. Clean though. Garbage can and dog poop bags available. Lots of parking. It backs up to a baseball field. I bet the dogs would go nuts during a game! No water fountain for dogs.

First stop after our drive from Vegas! The dog park!

Our first stop after our drive from Vegas. Chaos needed to stretch his legs and so did we. Small park with a small section and a large section. There were only about 5 other dogs there of all sizes all congregating in the large side. The ground is like sand, benches for the humans, a hose for water for the pups, nice big tree for shade. The other humans and their dogs were all super friendly. Definitely check it out

At first when pulled up I thought the park was closed for the season as the sign stated. made a u turn and was pretty bummed with the park begging closed sense it was the only off leash dog park in big bear lake area. So went to the downtown area so my wife can do a little birthday shopping for her self with me in tow. Tried to leave the pupples in the car (all 4 windows open 1/2 way so put your judgment on hold for a min) but they were not having it they were barking up a storm giving me the perfect excuse to head back to the car. Saving me from forking out fashion advise trying to hold a straight face while I say "I don't know babe they both look nice in you tough call" when I a really need to know is witch one is lighter on my pocket book. So off to the car I go happy as a clam to get back to my three little buddies. Pop on the leash and off the go to smell everything and everyone on the street low and behold right in front of our car there's a cool little doggy boutique (I'll update & name later right now don't want to fall if the soap box) https://yelp.to/qTKq/kZjd8NewQD I was so lost in the picturesque vistas and crisp air that I missed the store front all together luckily the dogs lead me to the front door as they helped themselves to drink of water from the bowl the shopkeeper so kindly set out for the K-9 traffic to enjoy as they walk by. The lady behind the counter came out meet my little thirsty explorers and offered them gluten free treats (not kidding) and invite me into the store along with the dogs. Not so unusual pet co and pet smart do this as well but what I didn't know until she shared with me that the 99% of the downtown store allow dogs to shop round as well. So I asked her if she knew if a open off leash dog park as I had just returned from "BARK PARK" that was closed for the season. "CLOSED FOR SEASON?.. I was there this morning she tell me so I assumed she was speaking of a different dog park so I payed close attention to her direction turns out same park only that the dog park is on the street side of the park right next door to the tennis courts and not by the lake front swimming area that's was closed for the season.. So moral of the long story is don't make a u-turn and leave like a big dummy the BARK PARK is the small fenced area next to the light blue bungalós on your right as you pull in cool little area for the little guys and a slightly larger play ground for the big dawgs 4 star due to the sand my crew love the grass and look for the beach when they play in the sand. But hey off leash is leash thanks for reading my novel....

On the smaller side of dog parks we are use to but still gets the job done for play time and running room.

Nice, little place to let your dog run around and socialize with other pups. Wish other dog owners would be more considerate of others and clean up after their pets.

Out here on a weekend getaway! Took out Frenchie here we took him to the small dog area, they have an area for big dogs too! It was. But cold but if your in the area with your furry friend definitely must visit!

Best dog park by far, and I've seen a few! Two areas, small and big dog, "no kids under the age of 12" (I understand, but don't like this part. But honestly, it's for dogs, you can sit outside with your kids:). Not grass, but sand, works perfectly. Gorgeous view at sunset! Wonderful locals to talk to.

Small but perfect for what our huskies needed ! Clean and we had the park early morning all to ourselves !

Great spot to take the dogs to for a trip to Big Bear. We went in January and the space was covered in snow. While I'm not sure if it was technically suppose to be open, other folks were there with dogs as well so the space was usable. There's both a small dog area and a large dog area. There's plenty of parking in the lot and the Bark Park is located next to other parks with direct access to the lake, which was nice.

What dog park? There is no place for a dog to run. I don't know why they even took the time and money. It seems like a waste of revenue.

There is a free parking lot adjacent to the park, but it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends and holidays. If the lot is full, there is additional street parking available nearby. Many people taking pictures or selfies, some people fishing off the small pier, while others were walking their dogs. It was very clean, there is restrooms available (yes there was a line) and plenty of parking, although you may need to wait for a spot. It is a cool park to check out, I've seen pictures of people kayaking, however there are signs that say to stay on the path and not cross over the railing. A nice picnic place perhaps or family photos with the bear. The boulders in the area/park make it a cool photographic area.

Located in the back of a residential area, the park features relaxing energy with some beautiful nature / mountain views. If you're looking for a place to see the famous Big Bear Wild Burros (donkeys), they are often roaming around this neighborhood, especially if you take Lakewood Drive to the back of the neighborhood. Sometimes they can be seen wandering around The Ranch Park, especially when it's early in the morning or late in the evening and not super crowded. There's a really nice fenced in dog park (The Ranch Bark Park), but also lots of other features including a playground, climbing rock, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a ADA-friendly walking path. Parking has never once been an issue in all the years that I've been visiting this park. There's a large free lot in the center of the park, as well as an additional lot across the street, and other places in the neighborhood where you could park on the street if you needed to. No structured bathrooms, but lots of porta potties that are regularly checked and usually pretty clean.

IRRESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERS HERE!!! first time at this park, I…read morewent and nobody was there around 12pm. a while later This older couple comes in with their husky and let him off the leash, and the interaction is semi-okay but my dog isn't even a year so I made sure to keep him close since I don't know how he would act. He is generally just overly excited and wants to run up and greet but i don't let him yet. This couples dog came over and their dog kept trying to mount my puppy. All they did was say "no humping" and let him run around still. I should have known and took him out but I wasn't quick enough. I talked to the lady a little bit and her comments were just very questionable like as if because my dog is a pitbull that makes him the one in the wrong automatically. Their husky completely ignored them and then ignored me and even as my pup was right next to me with his leash , started to try mounting my pup again. my dog didn't like that and a scuffle ensued. I got bit in the midst of it all, and even as their dog had my dogs face in its mouth, they just kept saying "let go" and tried getting him back on the leash. My dog was pretty shaken and even after he stopped, their dog STILL came after mine and bit him in the leg and tried pulling and all they said was "let go of him" like it was no big deal. I was too busy making sure my dog was good and looked at my wound and by the time I looked back they were out the gate and already pretty much gone as the man's wife was saying "that's it," and some other things. before they walked away as i was holding my dog she had the nerve to say "you should still be careful of pit bulls.." and other nonsense. EXCUSE ME?! I did right by containing my dog and the nerve to try to blame it on my dogs breed when it was THEIR HUSKY who wouldn't leave mine alone. I have some good puncture wounds and the fact that they just left is completely irresponsible. I'm guessing it was their first time there like mine but to just leave and not even see if my dog or me were okay is extremely fucked up. My dog is a puppy, i've had him less than a month. He is new to everything after I adopted him from SB animal shelter, and so I wanted to introduce him to some new sights, smells, and other dogs. He doesn't really know how to act so when someone came in I put him on the leash since he gets overly excited. I did my part and felt I was being a responsible owner by making sure he stayed close and leashed even in the park. he doesn't even know aggression because he has never been exposed to anything like that. he is all play. I was by myself and the fact that they didn't even take responsibility. there was no sorry, just running away. The couple was an older couple, looked caucasian. the lady had a hat and sunglasses. don't remember the man too much. we were all talking and everything seemed to be "fine" but they didn't control their dog. I would have gotten their information but the way they left so fast and were already gone by the time I got up is crazy. I would definitely remember them if I saw them. My dog was so defeated, he has a small limp and I had to carry him partly to the car and inside once we got home. i'm very disappointed because it's my first dog and our first time at the dog park. I felt I was prepared to the best of my ability and I know some other people aren't as responsible for their dogs but it's common sense if yours dog doesn't know how to act you take control. This was a lesson learned and I hope that this can help others in the future. i'm more disappointed in the fact that they just left me and my dog like this and didnt even check if we were okay. they were only concerned with getting their dog out and leaving because they were judgmental about my dog and trying to place blame. I'm still in shock.
