Discovered this establishment after seeing it on social media. Thought it would be a good place for a lit brunch, because that's how it was advertised on social media. Unfortunately, I didn't experience this until around 4pm when they start after dark. Did have a good time after than but I was already there since 1pm and the music wasn't good until 4pm. My reason for the one star is the service and food. The brunch menu is simple. I had the chicken and waffles. I asked the server if it was chicken wings and she stated yes. This was not true it was a chicken wings and breast part. Additionally the waffle wasn't fully cooked. My table also asked they had unlimited mimosas, server stated they had an unlimited tower. We agree to get that and when we asked for a refill she stated it wasn't possible. Shots are $20 which is over priced in my opinion. Lastly, gratuity is already included and the server didn't mention that to us. There's a parking lot a block away for $1 a hour. read more

I visited this establishment on January 5th for brunch. Upon arrival it was a bit awkward because there was a guy mopping and staff seemed surprised to see us. Please note, we had a 12:45pm reservation and they were still surprised we were there. The restaurant was pretty much empty when we arrived. There were only 2 other customers sitting inside. I know they have only been open for a few months so I am giving them the benefit of doubt. For brunch I found it to be a bit boring at first but things livened up around 3:30pm. If I do return I will try a different day of the week. I'm not sure if Sunday was just an off day for them but while I was there the restaurant never got full. As far as the food it was good overall, I was disappointed in the waffles though. The mimosa tower was good, you get to choose orange or pineapple juice. The bartender actually made ours a pineapple passion and I enjoyed it. Gratuity is automatically added to your bill (18%). Service was ok, the server was nice and did her job. There is a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant but you will be better off parking in the garage (Van Buren Garage). read more

First off the drinks are way too pricey for the quality. My friend ordered an apple Martini and it looks like water. I ordered a lemon drop Martini and it not only didn't taste like a lemon drop Martini, but there's no garnish or sugar rim. I only ordered one. So while sitting at the bar, we were joined by a six legged pest(a roach) which my friend finally stepped on it. By this time, I was ready to cancel my food order. When the food arrived, I ordered was supposed to be jerk chicken wings, but it wasn't Jamaican jerk, it's more like barbecue with hot sauce. My friend ordered tacos, since it's taco Tuesday, she ordered beef and they brought her chicken. Sent it back. Now about the service, it leaves a lot to be desired. As I watched them make other drinks they have all the necessary ingredients, but the bartender skills are sorely lacking. They put garnish on some of the drinks. Also if they spent more time serving the customers instead of smoking the hookah, maybe they could get it right. Also my other friend ordered a strawberry margarita and what they served was an imitation mojito with green leaves . The best thing I could say about this place is it looks really nice and the drama was kicking it with the music. But with that being said, I will not be coming back again. I miss Ginger Bay. I don't think this place will last long unless they make some serious changes. But my friend said her tacos were good when she got the right one. Also if you're going to serve food at least invest in regular napkins besides cocktail napkins. Also they automatically tip themselves 18%. So I definitely advise, think first before visiting or just come for the music. This was a Tuesday so I don't know if there is a cover charge on weekends. Added note: when you get your bill, there's an additional charge to pay other than cash and they short you on the change. I was supposed to get $7.50 change and she only gave back 7 dollars . South Florida Has A New Gem Aura Lounge‼‼ I've visited quite a few times, they've remained consistent. Also bare in mind it's a New establishment, so that's typically hard to do. Customer service has been great every time, the owners appear to be onsite thus mistakes if made are corrected swiftly. I've had a 10/10 on service each time. I felt the prices were reflective of the experience & what I received. No complaints there. Bottle service was very good. Attentive. The vibe is on , it's carribean, meets Afro- American fusion. Your getting a fusion. I heard Calypso music, reggae, dancehall, African, hip hop, they take requests too, cause I wanted to hear some David Guetta & they played it. It's a Vibe for sure. Both times, I had the Rasta Pasta, and it did not disappoint. It's got a spicy kick, but if you enjoy bold flavors, it's absolutely worth it. The mac and cheese, on the other hand, was just okay for me. It was definitely cheesy but could have used a bit more seasoning. The atmosphere transitions into more of a club/lounge vibe at night, but before 8 PM, it's a great spot to bring the family. I didn't get a change to order. I got there early I guess when they first opened and after being handed a menu I waited some time to see how long it would take for a bartender to come back . Clearly their conversation with other employees was way more important than making money so I simply walked out. I was one of 4 people inside so really no excuse. Mom got the chicken wings and they was so tiny. It looked like it was in a recession crazy work crazy work now the service was pretty good the bartenders and the and hostess and waitresses stuff they was on point. Came here on a Friday evening and definitely wasn't disappointed. The vibes were great and the DJ was spinning the hottest songs and also mixed in a Caribbean flair as well.
