Ordering went smoothly. Paying went smoothly. The amount of time I waited for my food was reasonable for a fast food experience. Drinks (4/5): I usually go with their sweet tea because I love me some sweet tea. This time around, I went with a limited-time option: their banana pudding shake. Dessert in a glass. It tasted the way you would hope it would taste. A solid shake all in all. Food (3/5): I went with a limited time option here too... their hot honey chicken sandwich. Think their fried Whatachicken with a sweet and spicy sauce. I'm a fan of hot honey, especially on pepperoni pizza. Here, unfortunately, it didn't work that well. Whataburger's honey butter chicken biscuit is money in the back. This sandwich, mediocre. Not bad, but not something I would order again. While the sandwich wasn't great, Whataburger's fries with their homemade ketchup always hit the spot. Especially when you can upgrade your combo from medium to a large for less than a dollar.

It's great this chain is opening here since there are similar stores in California and several other locations. As people from LA arrive here, they are excited to see El Polo Loco here. Kathy and Adam were clueless, Faye went up and instead of handling business he just pointed at the screen with all the red orders and complain to them instead of stepping up! I told him that him as a manager should've done it (I worked for almost 15 yrs in California) and his response was "I'm doing the hard work cutting chicken" when I told him he should be taking care of customers he just rolled his eyes and hands with a smirk in his face!! I bought one after the clerk told me that it is good for both hot tea and iced tea. When I went in to use it the next week, I was told that it is not applicable to iced tea. I talked to the manager and she took the card and gave me the phone number of a "manager" who would give me a refund on my credit card. I called him and he agreed to refund my card. He never did and I called repeatedly asking why. They told me that he would "call me back," but he never did. Finally I called and asked for a 50.00 gift card to replace the card they had taken. So far, NOTHING! This has been going on for 3 weeks and it is clear that the "manager" has no intention of making it right. VERY disappointing!
