I usually love Auntie Annes but this airport location was not hitting the spot. I guess it depends what time of day you catch them. When you get a pretzel fresh the taste is out of this world but I happened to get a pretzel that was probably sitting in the warmer for awhile. They had most of the options available that I wanted especially for it nearing the end of their work day. It's an airport expect airport prices.

Rick Bayless has built himself a restaurant w/award winning restaurants like Frontera Grill & Topolobambo. The first time I got food from Tortas Frontera to take on the plane as it was a domestic flight that wasn't serving food so I thought I would grab a Cubaba Clasica & take it on the plane, BIG MISTAKE. This sandwich is meant to be eaten on the spot & not later When I went back the second time on 02/12/25 I ordered the same Cubana Clasica - Carnitas, smoked pork lion, bacon, jack cheese, chipotle mustard & pickled onions. This time I ate it before boarding the plane. It was delicious & meant to be eaten right away When ordering it's better eaten right away. I learned my lesson the hard way taking it on the plane instead of eating it right away. There are three Tortas Frontera locations at O'Hare International Airport (ORD), located in Terminals 1, 3, and 5. Founded by Chef Rick Bayless, these popular, high-quality sandwich spots are found at the following locations within the secure area:Terminal 1: Near Gate B10/B11Terminal 3: Near Gate K4Terminal 5: Near Gate M18

I am confident of that. If it weren't in a ticketed area, I would consider running out here occasionally just for a torta. Most of the time, we fly in the morning and find ourselves planning to arrive a little early to ensure we have time to enjoy a breakfast torta. The avocado, egg, and rajas is my go to, but the chorizo is excellent too. Definitely slather the torta with that green salsa/chimichurri that comes with it. Tons of flavor. Superior black coffee here too. They serve Dark Matter coffee, and they're brewing it perfectly. I used to run to the Intelligentsia over at Concourse C for coffee, but I realized a while ago that I dont need to. My torta was $14.30 this morning. You will spend that on a prepackaged tray of cheese and crackers at Hudson News and be sad all day. This place is still an excellent value. The service is always incredibly nice and efficient. If you have time, grab a table or seat at the bar. Just walk past the line for takeout and let them know at the bar that you want to dine in. Great guacamole with fresh chips too. Bonus that the little TV in the corner is always playing Rick Bayless' cooking show. His cadence is always so soothing.

Its small line was what lured me in along with the craving for an order of french fries to obtain some nutrients before my flight. I needed a moment to figure out what I wanted between either french fries, or a fish sandwich. Those tend to be my two choices I order while visiting McDonald's along with either of their smoothies on the menu. The employee was patient with me and once ready, I ended up ordering a medium mango pineapple smoothie, along with medium french fries. I was far from disappointed with the medium french fries nor with the mango pineapple smoothie ordered. Both were fresh and satisfied my hunger at that moment prior to my outbound flight. All in all, a pleasant ordering experience with this McDonald' location. And as indicated I enjoyed my meal and would surely order from again whenever inside of his terminal within Chicago O'Hare International Airport. ~Good vibes coming your way ~ Thomas G

I came here mainly for the convenience and to be honest, had my expectations set pretty low. I was promptly seated. The dining area is a lot more empty, but the bar was much more lively. They have a pretty robust drink menu, but funnily enough do not have any hazy IPAs. I ordered a Stella Artois (draft) and a small was already $12.5, which was wayyy overpriced for me, But again, this is the type of expense I expected to pull for my laziness since I already expected everything here will be overpriced. I ordered the fish and chips with steak fries. To my surprise, their fish was actually very well cooked! The batter was very thin, which I like, and the fish was very fresh. I was slightly annoyed by the fact that they cut off the end of my lemon, so when I squeezed my lemon, the lemon juice squirted both ways making a small mess over my table. The steak fries were kinda dry, but nothing a little ketchup can't fix. However again, the price was kinda ridiculous. The fish and chip was $29. Overall with tips, I spent $50 for the entire meal. Overall, I think if you are short on time and don't have the chance to explore Chicago, then you are kinda stuck choosing this place since it is conveniently located within the hotel itself. But don't expect the price to justify the quality of the food since everything here is expectedly overpriced. The food I had was good, not amazing, and so definitely did not deserve that price tag.
