So glad I found this bakery on Yelp! Not only was the cake beautiful, it was also DELICIOUS!! It's hard to see in the photo, but the cake had edible glitter on the outside, it was simply BEAUTIFUL. Perfectly moist cake and the whipped cream was fresh and not too sweet. It was a perfect ratio of whipped cream to strawberries. I was planning a spongebob themed 25th birthday party for my boyfriend (yes, spongebob). I needed a cake pretty quick at Ralph's and Albertson's has a copyright rule that I can't use pictures off the internet (even if I edited it myself... which therefore doesn't make it copyright, but what evs). I came here for a custom cake hoping for quick results. Not only was she helpful, but quick too. I was there for MAYBE 10 minutes only because I had to email her my image. We got a marble cake and it was so moist and delish. The best part, the frosting wasn't TOO sweet like how usual buttercream frosting is. When I went to pick it up, it was RAINING! She still offered to help me to my car, but I refused only because it was raining, I had an umbrella that only covers about a 7 year old child, and her chefs uniform was completely white. Although she did add that if I DO need help, she would be more than happy to help. Overall great service, kind people, and really nice job on the cake. Also, there's no store front so don't expect to see examples of cakes or ideas, it's only a counter to write down your order and that's it, the rest is the kitchen! read more

After being turned away by so many other bakers as I had a strange flavor combination (apricot filling and mocha buttercream) Aunt Joy herself said, "sure we can make that." They didn't just make a cake, they made an incredibly delicious confection. A perfect crumb to the sponge. Several years later I finally had the occasion to order a cake of my own from Aunt Joy's, and the Berry Whip Cream cake was as delicious as I remembered! It's a white cake layered with fresh berries and frosted with whipped cream. The cake is light and fluffy and just the right level of sweetness. It sort of reminds me of the triple berry cake from Sweet Lady Jane's, but the cake texture is lighter compared to SLJ. And the price of course is less expensive. You can opt for pick up (free) or delivery (for a fee). We opted to pick up at their location in Burbank on Flower Street and it was quick and easy. I stored the cake overnight for a party the next day and it kept very well in the refrigerator. I also requested the cake be plain (undecorated) so we could decorate using fresh flowers. To those who love the Triple Berry Cake from Sweet Lady Jane's, be prepared for Aunt Joy's Berry Whip Cream Cake! Aunt Joy can kick Lady Jane's a$$ any day!! The cake itself was sooo moist and all the berries (strawberries, black berries, raspberries, and blue berries) were super fresh. The homemade whipped cream is what makes it stand out the most. It wasn't too sweet and it had the perfect consistency, it was like a cloud in my mouth. I was literally just picking out the fruit on top and adding a lot of whipped cream to it. I was addicted! I'm so glad my sister, Sharon B., got this cake for her birthday! They also gave her some complimentary cookies to taste and they were delicious as well! There were about 3-4 that I tasted and I liked them all. Just to note: This isn't your typical bakery where you can pick up an order there at the store. You need to call in ahead at least 24 hours because everything is made to order. Also they are only open M-F from 8AM-4PM. Besides being extremely close to where I live, this bakery is awesome! From the ease of ordering to the customization to the taste. Everything was perfect! I called, told them my ideas and they said that it was no problem at all! And they came out exactly as I envisioned in my mind.
