The place is very charming. Kinda hard to find, no sign on the outside of the building. It has a wonderful antique shop on one side, and I could easily browse for an hour. Our server was attentive and brought coffee and water right away. The menu is very charming and kinda fun to read. We ordered items like the Oink and Moo omelette, The Whole Hog Omelette and the Lost Bread French Toast. The place was not half full but it took 40 minutes to get breakfast after we ordered. Our server was good not visible very often, we wondered where she was. The food was excellent and the plates were beautiful. Definitely worth the visit. read more

Excellent breakfasts. Lunches are huge! I dare you to finish off their club sandwich in one sitting. It's the place to go for food as big as your head! Ambiance is great. You have an antique store on one side and the restaurant with a view of Bostwick Lake on the other. Service is always friendly. You're gonna like this place for breakfast or lunch. Don't waste your time or money. The food was extremely disappointing. Hash browns were raw in the middle, the omelet was just a flat egg with the filling laid in the middle, toast was only toasted on one side, and the sausage gravy is out of a can. Coffee was burnt or very low quality dark roast and the bloody Mary was more ice than Mary. My daughters mac and cheese was equivalent to blue box and my wife's french toast was soggy at best. Love the idea of this restaurant but the execution is dismal. Charging $13 dollars for an omelet is great if the omelet is great. Service was terrible but i blame some of that on covid...it seemed like they were severely understaffed. We waited for over 45 minutes to get our food and were extremely disappointed. read more

This business has received an unfair wrap from it's neighbor because of the parking situation and that is sad. Both establishments are nice but the other establishment next to them doesn't own the other's land and wants to force that owner to let their guests park in their lot. Since a amicable agreement was not made the one business has a sign on their wall trashing this one, that is undignified and cruel. AUNT BELLE'S IS a lovely place to have breakfast and hopefully someday they will open up to do dinner. They also have a charming Antique Market attached so you can have fun shopping after your meal. Great setting! Grab a table on the porch overlooking the lake! We tried a very large and delicious all-meat omelette and the stuffed French toast. Blown away by how much meat was in the omelette. Delicious! The French Toast was delicious. Covered in apples and stuffed with a delicious sweet cream cheese. Service was a little spotty, and the cook brought our food out with no servers in sight. Food was AMAZING, you get your monies worth for sure. The dining area was nicely decorated and fun to look at all the vintage signs. The tables really gave off the vibe you were eating at the breakfast table with family. This attached to an antique shop which could be a neat concept however I decided to browse in there while my food was being made. The person sitting at the cashier area was talking loudly on her cell phone which was already moderately annoying also she was talking on speaker phone on full volume. I mentioned to her it was quite loud. She did not get off speaker phone. I find this tacky and annoying. I could not believe how loud it was and that she kept on doing it. People on the phone is one thing but being on speaker phone in any public area is rude and annoying to everyone. It gets better apparently this is the owner of both the antique store and the restaurant. My food came out not how I ordered it, I had asked for hash browns instead of home fries but was like whatever. The eggs had a sweet taste and I ate only a few bites of it. My server came back and asked if I need anything I told her this was not how I ordered it and it was not that good. She asked if I wanted something else I said no. At this point I was just ready to leave. She dropped off the bill and did not take anything off. This place is such a welcomed addition to our neighborhood! It is bright and airy with a little southern charm stemmed from the wrap-around porch seating and biscuit-tiered menu. My boyfriend and I have been here twice (one time to visit their ice cream parlor and huge antique shop, and once to eat) and both times the employees have been an absolute delight. So friendly and polite. The first time we visited, the owner went out of his way by assisting my boyfriend in finding a Father's Day gift from the year his dad was born. We also enjoyed Ashby's ice cream (a family-owned and Michigan-made ice cream brand) and the employee helping us was sweet and helpful despite it being her very first day! I am now writing this as we finish up the second visit where we enjoyed brunch at 1:30 in the afternoon (breakfast menu was still open)! Their menu displayed breakfast/brunch on one side and lunch on the other. I ordered a Bloody Mary and the biscuits and gravy, and my boyfriend ordered the sweet tea and farmhand sandwich (pro tip: he asked for their gravy on top!). We were served waters right away, and our drinks were served briefly afterwards. His sweet tea was served with lemon and my Bloody Mary (ordered non-spicy) was a tasty classic drink with non-soggy pickles and olives. I've seen a few reviews that described exceptionally long wait times and was preparing to wait for a while, but I was pleasantly surprised when we both received our food before I even finished half of my drink! The biscuits are phenomenal, and I must say that the farmhand sandwich with gravy added on top was the best of both worlds. The wait staff was very attentive while we ate and when the bill came, we were astonished at how reasonable it was for two meals and two drinks! Summary: Reasonable pricing, kind people, delicious southern-style brunch, and exceptional ambience near Bostwick Lake. If I had to give a piece of constructive criticism, it would be that the restaurant could benefit from better signage! We did not realize they were a full restaurant until after our first visit to the attached Antique Shop! We already have plans to bring our friends here the next time they stay with us! read more

The good news us that the place is bright and clean. Very friendly and well staffed wait staff. Our omelets were delicious, the chicken and waffles were too, tasty homemade sourdough bread and humongous pancakes. The food was really very good. The bad news is that we waited at lease 45 minutes for any food mid morning Sunday. The weird thing was that NO ONE in the dining room (8-10 tables) had any more than juice or coffee the entire time. Only two tables had a meal. I hope that they get their kitchen situation worked out quickly. I'd hate to see them develop a poor reputation for unacceptable waiting times and have guests miss out on great food. The antique mall is great too. read more

Wowzers, don't know why this place gets such harsh reviews because I thought it was a lovely little spot! Had a; I just stepped into my Grandmas kitchen feel and I was loving it. Didn't even know it was there because we just stopped in to shop and saw this little place off to the side. So if you are from the area you probably know this but for those that aren't it's inside an antique store! So win win! They serve breakfast and lunch open until 2:30 (at least on weekends) Pricing on par for most places now day with things averaging $10-12.00 bucks. Others complained on service which we had no issues. Food came out quickly and piping hot. Our waitress was a lovely young lady and was attentive. So no complaints there. My husband and I ordered the patty melt and it was a solid sandwich. Bread was toasted perfectly and was big enough we literally could have only ordered one and split. Came with kettle chips or could up-charge to fries or onion rings. Hubby got fries and there were a lot and they were DELICIOUS. Definitely want to come back because they say they have wagon wheel I think they said or plate sized pancakes soooo yeah that sounds yummy! read more

The food and dining experience is always excellent at Aunt Belle's. However, some friends recently planned a surprise 60th birthday party for another friend. We called ahead and told them about ten people would be there, along with the time and. When we got there, nobody knew anything about it. Staff seemed confused as to how to handle this and there were only two other tables. We ended up going to the far southeast corner and pushed some tables together for ourselves so we wouldn't intrude on anyone else's dining experience. Once we had things set up, our server told us we were not allowed to put those tables together, with no explanation. So, we went to the owner, who gave us the same response. The guest of honor was to show up soon, and it was a mess. We ended up cramming everyone together at a smaller table, two people had no spot at the table itself, and gifts had to be put on a totally different table. Also, I am not able to find a complete menu on their website. Is it just me? I was inviting a friend to join me there this week, and I wasn't able to show her the menu. Thank you. read more

I had a great brunch on the deck today! The Rebel Yell omelet was hearty and delicious! My companion enjoyed his bacon and eggs so much he ordered a second serving of the applewood bacon. We found out our server was on her first day of solo serving but we never would have guessed it. She was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly, and easily accommodated a few substitution requests.
