Went to Aunnys today! The staff was great and very entertaining with the customers that were there. We all had cheeseburgers, which in all honesty tasty like frozen patties ( I think they are more used to serving the southern food thats on the menu) as we were pressed for time however we Will be going back for a dinner soon. read more

Passing near Georgetown NC on our way to Charleston, we stopped by Aunny's for lunch. The southern style fried chicken was excellent, as was the shrimp and grits. Our sides of butter & lima beans, of okra & tomatoes, and of candied yams were fantastic. I think the best aspect of Aunny's, in addition to the delicious food, was our server. She was gracious, funny and quite friendly. I would highly recommend you stop by Aunny's next time your near Georgetown SC. read more

Folks--go here. Couldn't be friendlier and food is wonderful. You should have some pie too. Visiting from out of town and recommend for a meal. Stopped for lunch and ordered collard greens, wonderful neckbone pilaf and baked chicken. Try the Millionaire pie and sweet potato pie. Come for the food and enjoy the hospitality. read more

I first experienced Aunny's last year. I would only recommend to people who like big flavor of whom I am one. You will find these dishes elsewhere only rarely. They are prepared as well as possible. Chefs at very swanky, expensive places would be proud to achieve this level of intense flavor. Get the hog maw, the pig feet pilaf, the greens, and the candied yams (best I've ever had). Thank me later. read more

I am shocked that this restaurant has such good reviews. My fried chicken was so dry it was actually inedible. The mac n cheese was just yellow noodles (not sure where the cheese was and we were concerned that the noodles were that color of yellow...). We also had the green beans and broccoli casserole and were very dissatisfied with both. At least is was inexpensive. read more

In my 28 years of life, this was THE absolute worst meal I've ever eaten. My dogs eat better than this. I give it zero stars.

We asked a very gracious, talented SC/Gullah lady where the best place to eat in Georgetown was located. She suggested Aunny's and we are so glad we took her advice. We experienced great, quick service and even better food. Between the four at our table we ordered every side dish on the menu along with fried chicken and shrimp. Each one was delicious. Desert was coconut pie and pound cake which was equally good. What a great southern experience for us Michiganders! read more

Amazing down home southern cooking. The fried chicken is great. The meat loaf is the best I've ever had. The price is right. Highly recommended. read more

Unfortunately, my experience at Aunny's was horrible to say the least. I would have to say more on service than food. First, I waited 45min for a crab cake and ceasar salad! Then, the crabcake was overly salty and the salad was not fresh! I heard great things about Aunny's and being that I'm a native of Georgetown I wanted to support local business. But it was so many things wrong on so many levels, I can't even begin. The only thing good was the sweet tea! read more

I really don't understand how this place got such good reviews. We stopped here for breakfast and chose this restaurant based on these reviews. However after looking more carefully I read that some people have had the same experience as me. The food was ok but nothing special. I got the salmon croquettes with grits on the side. If I have hadn't ordered the grits I think it would be just 2 croquettes? Who doesn't have sides for breakfast. My husbands pancakes were good but nothing special. His toast arrived 20 mins before the rest of the meal. But mostly the service was unacceptable. They never refilled our coffee until I asked. They acted like we were a bother to be there. And the food took so long even though we were the only people there. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Lovely local experience. All of the Southern home cooking favorites we can't get at home in the Pacific NW. Wide selection for lunch specials Has the best service ever read more

We stopped here on our way to Charleston from Myrtle Beach. Being from Massachusetts, I wasn't sure about shrimp for breakfast. However, so glad we ordered the shrimp and grits! So good! Love southern cooking! The staff here was so welcoming and patient with us! I will be coming back if I am ever in town again! read more

A solid 4 stars. The food was great. Took a long time to come out considering they weren't very busy. The staff was friendly. But the place needed a little love. The seat cushions were ripped and the place just overall needed some work. Fried shrimp was awesome and the sides were great too. I would definitely come back. read more

Simply the best southern home cooking with a soul touch you will find. The very best fried chicken, Mac and cheese and Lima beans we have tasted. The sweet potatoes were near perfect, the cornbread just a hint of sweet and the sweet tea just right. The other dishes we saw on other plates looked just as good and everyone leaving there was fat and happy! The ladies that own and run the place are family and as friendly as can be. A not to miss spot in Georgetown if you like old fashioned good cooking....the coconut pie was good also! read more

OK. You tell me. Ice water with no water. 15 minutes to get a refill of my coffee. Toast given to another table while our eggs sat on our plates. Needed to make more toast (probably while the coffee was being brewed). Twice had to get cream for coffee after I asked for it. Incorrect billing at register. Did I mention, there were a total of six people in restaurant! read more

Well I finally made it across the street to Aunnys, and I enjoyed the best breakfast I have had in a very long time. The shrimp and grits were outstanding, pancakes were to perfection. My wife's eggs were perfect for her, and service was prompt. So whenever you're in Georgetown on front Street I would highly recommend Aunnys . And make sure you get the gravy on the side for it's truly homemade and taste just like moms read more

Went for Sunday lunch. Waitress dropped off menus to our table. After getting our drink Order she came back and asked if we were ready to order. We asked a couple of questions about items on the menu. One question we asked was what do you recommend. The waitress responded with "I don't eat here, but I guess everything is good." We were also told that they don't serve items on the menu on Sundays and that she just dropped them off because they hadn't had a chance to write the specials on the board yet. After ordering from the specials board the waitress returned to let my mom know that they didn't have the ribs even though they had written the item on their board 5 minutes earlier. After my mom reordered our food came out relatively quick. My wife and I both ordered the meatloaf with different sides. Our meatloaf was obviously reheated in the microwave. We both ordered mac & cheese, which was unrecognizable (didn't even see noodles in the mush). My mac & cheese was cold and hers was steaming hot, which means it was obviously microwaved. They never brought my wife's 3rd side and they also never brought out my daughter's one side that came with her PB&J. My mom said hers was average at best and her order came out correct. They also don't list any prices. They charged us $11 per person (yup, $11 for a PB&J sandwich with no sides). For 3 adults and one child it totaled $55. Will never go back! read more

We had the BEST 60th birthday lunch- amazing food, soulfully cooked of course; great service from friendly folks and even a jazzy birthday sing along! Desert to live for!! read more

Aunny's is absolutely fantastic. Truly one of the finest meat and three's I've ever been too. The fried chicken was truly awesome. Collards, Mac n cheese were perfect and the field peas were unbelievable. read more

This place is the genuine article! Wonderful atmosphere and even better food. Try the fried smothered pork chop!

It was good old fashioned home cooking, old store front setting (no problem with that). The sides were in very small dishes ,so I was unhappy with that for the price it was $23 for my wife and I to eat and she had water to drink. Server barely even spoke to us. Good food though. read more

Fantastic breakfast, really enjoyed the corned beef and hash, and my friend loved his pancakes sausage and eggs there were fantastic sweet and fluffy, my other friend had the salmon croquettes and said it tasted amazing. The service was very good, and was nice, had a great experience and will be back again read more
