A full week passed with no communication, and I was finally contacted the day before my original appointment--far too late to make the necessary preparations. As a diabetic, I have to fast before having blood work done, which I clearly communicated to the receptionist. Fasting causes my blood sugar levels to drop, so careful planning is essential for my health and safety. Unfortunately, there was no consideration for this, and no one followed through on the promised call back. What was even more concerning was being told that "sometimes the doctor shows up and sometimes he doesn't." That level of unpredictability is unacceptable in any healthcare setting. Due to the lack of communication, consideration, and professionalism, I was ultimately unable to attend my appointment. This experience was extremely frustrating, and I would not recommend this facility to anyone seeking reliable or compassionate medical care. Update: My appointment was scheduled for 3:30 PM, yet I received a call at 2:53 PM from the receptionist asking if I still planned to come in. I had already spoken with someone at 10 AM this morning to explain my situation. Despite that, I was told, rather dismissively, that it was my responsibility to call and request an earlier appointment--this, after I had been assured over a week ago that I would receive a follow-up call with an updated time. Then the excuse was that the office was closed all last week, but I can book you for another PM appointment for this week. In an emergency situation I called him and asked to come to the office. He said yes. I got there, clearly emotional (crying), and he said he couldn't help and told me to leave - even though on the phone he said he would help and to come in. It was traumatic and thanks to him I've lost so much trust and faith in the medical system. Finding a health center that doesn't charge an obscene amount of money to be seen is always a struggle. It was the closest, same-day appointment center I found on Yelp. They take several types of insurance, including mine which only charged a $10 copay. They even have their own app where you fill out your symptoms and payment information right there. Once I arrived, all I had to worry about was not coughing on the doctor! I got a prescription filled at the in-house pharmacy and was on my merry way about 30 minutes later. Dr. Milos, if you or anyone from your office reads this, I'd like you to know that your blatant support of Donald Trump makes me feel unsafe in your care. Not only does Donald Trump spread misinformation about ongoing health crisis, his platform and policies are directly dangerous to my well being. I'm a middle class white woman many generations removed from my immigrant ancestors. However, Donald Trump seeks to strip away my bodily autonomy.
