After 40 years of doing business with this service company, they fired my 2 accounts because I had the gall to let the technician that I was seeing ants in the house (my quarterly appointment only called for outside spraying but I had always been able to let him know if I spotted anything inside). This same technician (Lee) had complained about the fact that we feed the birds and even though we had reported very large mice or rats getting into the house, did not place large enough bait stations (a local exterminator recommended much larger stations and correctly identified the critters as Pack Rats). Also the Manager couldn't care less that he was losing my business and a big shoutout to the women who work in the office. They have always been nice and supportive and I will miss talking to them. Negative 10 stars actually....... Lee came to my home to give me an estimate on termite prevention, and we agreed upon a service plan. Next, three different guys came to my home who tried to talk me out of the agreed upon service, not for a cheaper service but one that was easier for them to do. I had clearly explained before that the ulterior treatment would not work for me because i have dogs that would dig up the containers with poison in them. One of the three men, who said he was a manager, complained about Lee's estimate being way too low for the job and he was coming up with ideas, one was to drill way outside my wall in my yard nowhere near my house as opposed to treating the area right around my house where there is a patio, and termites would actually be exposed to the treatment. I said I wanted to stick with the original agreement. Within 10 minutes they drill into a water pipe. The remainder of my day was spent waiting for a plumber and trying to figure out how I'm going to fix this colossal mess they've created. This is on my back stoop where my dogs go in and out their dog door. My stoop is a very expensive and hard to match exposed aggregate, which will now have to be jack hammered out to fix the plumbing they drilled a hole in. Yeah your worst nightmare!!!! There is no way they don't have a means of preventing this from happening like using an interrupter on their drill perhaps?! They drill out concrete every day for this job, this makes no sense. So this is a Thursday, day before a holiday weekend. Nothing's getting done for at least 5 days. So beyond the MAJOR hassle of getting this fixed, time, inconvenience, nowhere to put my dogs, etc. etc.etc. I ended up with no termite treatment at all. In my experience with reviews, pay attention to the bad ones, that's closer to the reality. If you're reading this, good luck finding an exterminator, really bad things can happen you'd never expect! Update: Augustine Exterminators is now refusing any liability for any repairs, claiming it is not their fault. Steer clear folks!!! read more

A neighbor said they have used them for years and they do good work so we called to take care of a hornets nest in our tree. Thad was very responsive and a nice guy. He put on his new suit and was so quick to remove the nest nothing escaped. He was also able to keep the branch without damaging it which we'd hoped for. Excellent work and friendly service. They do a nice job of pest control for bugs I'm sure. They are friendly, clean and prompt. However, I was told we had a minor mouse issue and they sent someone out who threw out a few poison traps and some "spider" glue traps. We did smell something (dead mouse in the walls) and also found mouse fur on a chewed up spider trap. About two weeks later I opened the pantry and a mouse jumped out at me. I called and got an answering machine, because they close at 5pm. I went to home depot and took care of the problem myself with traps, spray foam (to cover holes) and a few other items totalling about $50. It was cheaper and worked much better. So if you have rodents, I suggest someone who will trap them and cover outside holes rather than just throw out some poision. Getting rid of them for good is the key, not just poisoning a few to attract more with the smell of dead mice. read more

Worst Professional company ever. After spending over 45 minutes discussing about what all service and yearly plans they offer on 15th June 2017, Traci fixed an appointment for today 16th June between 2 - 5 PM. The agent who was to visit us calls in the morning and says their services are not cheap and we should stick to the cheapest quote. OMG...without even visiting and looking at house and recommending what all the services we need, the only thing this guys talks about is MONEY MONEY and MONEY. After waiting for whole day, the agent who was suppose to visit per appointment send a TEXT at 3:30 PM saying he is not coming and we should go with the cheapest quote. Spoke to the Manager - Jason and he kept re-iterating the same thing "our services are not cheap and we should consider going with the cheaper quotes". Imagine this kind of highly unprofessional and unapologetic behavior to potential new customers. I recommend NOT TO CALL OR USE THEM at all. We totally wasted our entire day, time and effort attempting to give business to them. I am happy that it ended here else it could have ended in severe BAD Services and yearly contract causing more troubles to us later. STAY AWAY from such a company who is always talking about cheap or expensive service and does not even care to honor their commitments. read more

Augustine was wonderful. I had a severe problem with ants and I had someone previously come. My neighbor that has been an Augustine customer for over 14 years suggested I call so I gave them a try. It's a problem I've had for over a year. Augustine took care of the problem and I know longer have ants. I will definitely continue to use them. read more

I'd caught a couple of mice in my mom's basement and was afraid she had an infestation. I called Augustine's for an appointment and they sent Jim out. He was professional, direct and informative. He gave a thorough inspection, looking for points of entry, and told me the problem wasn't bad enough for his services and he gave instructions about what I could do to take care of the problem myself. I asked open-ended questions about possible bug problems and again he said he hadn't seen anything I should worry about. He not only didn't try to up-sell me, he saw no reason to come back at all. Then he didn't charge for the visit. I will know to trust them when they do recommend something. read more
