This week's task was handling a potential infestation of rodents. Oh joy! Nothing like having your home be a home for unwanted critters, and, well, eww. Roberto showed up on time, even messaging when he was on his way, listened to my concerns, and took a look around our basement. I was relieved to find out that it did not appear as if we had a big problem, or at least as big of a problem like I had feared, and that he would look outside as well. Once outside, Roberto inspected the house and found the likely point of ingress for mice. It made total sense because the gap in the siding coincided with where the soffit for the ductwork is in the basement. He gave me quotes on the services that were available, ranging from quarterly visits to a one-time sealing of the house, and then gave me some ideas on what I could do to handle some things myself. The service charge was $99, and if you sign up for one of their quarterly services or another one of their offerings, then that service charge is rolled into part of the overall fee. I was super-pleased with that part of the arrangement and I look forward to utilizing their services. Very responsive, easy to set an appointment, and a relatively thorough inspection, all in the span of less than an hour. Great experience!

I asked for a ball park figure for termite treatment and was told $500-$1700+ but she really couldn't say because she didn't know the size of my house - she didn't ask either. I asked if they had weekend or evening hours and was told, "no, [they] have responsibilities like coaching and [they] don't have to work those hours." I asked what was the latest an appt would be scheduled and she hemmed and hawed. Finally she said maybe 4pm, but it would depend...and never 5pm. She also added that they don't work on commission like other places; that's why those places were desperate for evening and weekend jobs. She stressed again that they have other commitments and are not on commission. Then she said I may want to try one of the other places.
