My husband and I have been here before and 1st time we were help by a tall white Male, we got excellent service! Everything was explained to us and adjusted to work right.. based off 1st experience we thought it would of been awesome coming back and try to fix other problem we had.. This time we were help by Some other short old white male smh one of the rudest people you can come across.. didnt even want to cross words with my husband had to tell the cashier what the problem was instead of explaining it to my husband. Then when we went out to our truck when my husband was going to try to ask him a another ? He literally was just trying to get us out of the business instead of making business. Can't say enough about these guys. They managed to install a factory DVD system in my wife's car, which I purchased online. They made an appointment super fast and got the work knocked out quickly, plus they even gave me a lift to work so I didn't have to hang out while it was getting installed. What can I say about this shop..Besides it's dismal appearance with tons of junk laying around behind the counters I wasn't impressed. I brought my brand new sports car by hoping to get a system installed for $2000 dollars. I was in the shop for about 15 min walking around and waiting at the counter. The only two people I could identify as working there just ignored me. This was last Saturday and they just seemed indifferent that I was there. I ended up buying everything online today from Amazon and saved a ton of money. Best Buy is doing the install for $370 labor. So I did end up spending 1800 dollars. I normally don't write reviews but hats off to troy at audio extreme. Went in looking for some 6.5s for my Harley road glide just to upgrade the speaker he explained very well why I would be wasting money unless I do the amp (mind you not really pushing me to buy an amp but why I should wait til I could do both) going over different options of what I would need going over in detail I pulled the trigger and put together a nice set up for my harley... after dropping the bike off I had a few questions and he has no problem sharing his knowledge and not just throwing stuff on the bike cause I had thought it was a good idea... even purchased a simple stereo with some 6.5s for my commuter to have bluetooth... again was just honest on what i needed and didnt try to upsell me on a full system.. Good Honest Business... hard to come by these days. Can honestly say found my new go to stereo shop! read more

My first review was mysteriously removed, so this is an update. I have been to this place several times. On the first occasion, I was having some trouble with my sub not working. So one of their guys came out to check it out and told me my sub is blown. When he connected the testing equipment to my sub, some sparks flew. I have never seen anything be tested that way, so I am not sure if my sub was really blown or if the guy blew it himself. In any case, I don't have much space in my trunk and wanted to replace my 8" sub with another one of the same size. My main concern is sound quality only and not power. The head guy at the shop told me that there are no high quality subs that are that small and was trying to push a sale of ~$400 large sub. I'm glad I didn't get it because I later found out that there are some great 8" subs on the market, including by Dayton Audio. On another occasion I went there because one of my dash tweeters had become unglued and fallen into my dash. Also needed a crossover fuse replacement. They assigned some guy to help me who didn't seem to know the first thing about car audio. I had to explain to him where my crossover is and what he needs to remove to get to it. After he glued the tweeter, it came off just a few days later. I went in to have it redone, and this time they glued the thing in such a way so that the tweeters weren't flush with the dash. I gave up on this place after this. I wouldn't be surprised if these guys were employing immigrant workers and paying them minimum wage, yet they're running a business installing expensive and highly technical equipment. UPDATE: I initially gave this place two stars, but after I published my first review, the owner, someone named Troy G., made a public comment on my review accusing me of confusing his shop with some other shop near him. I was sure I didn't make a mistake, but as a courtesy to him I checked my receipts nevertheless. I did verify that I didn't get the shop wrong. I contacted the owner and told him this and asked him to modify his public response. Now instead of apologizing to me, this guy proceeded to ask me for my full name. Just about two days after that, my Yelp review was mysteriously removed. I contacted Yelp, and they only provided me some vague excuse about violating their TOS. I was never told exactly what was wrong with my review. In any case, just based on how the owner approaches problems like this, you can imagine what sort of service you can expect here. I guess he thinks that customers are clueless about what shop serviced them and that there is no need to apologize for anything at all. That's an interesting business motto. read more

There's about 5 stereo shops on south E street, literally next door to one another or a business or 2 next to each other. Which 1 to choose is the issue. Ive been to 2 of the other stereo shops on south E street within the past 10 years here for various issues. They were Middle Eastern owned. If you are familiar with these people many of them like to open up stereo shops, will look you dead in the eye and rip you off blind. The owner of Audio Extreme was a nice man named Troy. I didn't buy anything from them, i came in with my amp and sub I purchased online. He gave me a price to install. I agreed and they installed it at a decent price and did a good job. I recently purchased two sets of pioneer speakers for $100 each. Turns out every where else including Best Buy they were running about $50 bucks a pair. I called to let them know and they pretty much shined it on. My fault for not checking before. Over all these guys are thieves so make sure you do a little research before you make your purchase. read more

back then yelp wasnt available or at least i didnt know, but had my alarm installed around 06 by them, today went back 2013, and found i didnt catch the guy's name but i think he was the owner, he diagnosed it and my horn and brains on the alarm were bad, he replaced them for a fair price and it was quick thanks!!!!! read more

I just had a system installed in my Chevy Silverado the craftsmanship in the sub box, amp rack, and speaker placement was high quality. Love this place! Just bought a brand new 2014 Chevy and wanted to get a few things done. I got an alarm system, tinted my windows, 4 new speakers with a sub and an amp. Brought my car in on Saturday morning and it was done by 4! There was an issue with the alarm system but they fixed it right away with no problem! They also scratched up my door a little from the instillation and someone called me by Monday to fix it up. I was very impressed! Will be going back to get more stuff done to my car! These guys know what they are doing. About a couple months ago I came in to simply change the Stereo on my Celica, because the factory one didn't work. I was out within about 1 hr. The prices are very reasonable. Couldn't be any happier. Made my brother go get a new stereo installed for his car, and he was just as happy. I highly recommend this place. Well hello again people. Here we go with some more GREAT words for Audio Extreme and the team there. Being a little over a month now, Even more work was performed on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, this thing was a bitch to work on, BUT, not for the guys there at Audio Extreme. As usual, I went to Troy and Chris and said what I wanted, then gave them carte blanch on the car. A donor part from my Mustang was then utilized and installed in my Jeep and then made to work perfectly. Troy even put another Kenwood Excellon unit in my Mustang and kept the cost low. Talk about the man, they set the sound stage in the Jeep, and they made it sound scary loud and clean. Installed was a pair of Hertz amps 4 channel and 2 channel, 2, Alpine type R 12s, Custom tuned box, Hertz mids, highs tweeters in the A pillar (Hertz) and 6X9s, and the Kenwood Excellon 890HD, all that and a total install time of 3 days, that included install, custom cuts and fittings, sound set up and imaging and bass set up. So awesome was the work, that I had them finally do my wife's truck to. Troy, You and the guys there always treat me well, with respect, and always listen to what I want. Thank you for never over-selling me what I don't need and forever getting me the best sound for the buck. You were right sir, once I have a hi end system I'd never want anything less.
