Walked into the store with a question, and it was immediately clear why it was empty inside... The customer service is terrible. There was a guy outside helping a customer with their car, and he probably assumed someone inside would assist us, which would have been fine. But when we walked in, there was nobody at the front desk. Another employee was sitting just a couple of feet away in the back on his phone. He made eye contact but didn't acknowledge us or say anything like, "Someone will be with you shortly." We were completely ignored. I will not be returning or recommending this place. read more

1-Star Review: Took my sports car in to have an amp and sub installed by Chris who appeared to be nice and trustworthy When I dropped it off, my car was in Intelligent Mode, but when I picked it up, it was in Sport Mode as if somebody romped it around the block. My silicone console cover was also missing -- he said he'd replace it, but never did. When I brought it up, there was no apology no accountability . Just, "we don't test drive." A few short trips later, the sub blew. Chris tried to blame me for switching my stock EQ to the "Hip Hop" setting for ten minutes ‍ -- which obviously isn't why a sub fails that fast. He did replace the sub, but acted like he was doing me a favor instead of owning a bad install or faulty part. Overall, poor accountability and customer service. I came here looking for a dash camera. It was 3/18/2026 around 11:45 and it was not busy at all. There were two guys talking (not sure which one worked there or maybe they both did) no one acknowledged me even entering the store. I walked around lost because all I saw was audio equipment but then noticed the dash cameras were behind the counter. I had enough time to YouTube the brand that I could see, watch an entire video about the camera and these guys were still talking. After watching an entire YouTube video on instillation I just decided to leave. Even walking out the door no one acknowledged my existence. I'll just take my business somewhere else. read more

Not only did they help but they gave really good insights on what speakers would be the best fit for outdoors so the speakers weren't ruined, even putting thought into the stereo setup so it was visible in direct sunlight! I stopped into the Audio Express Sunset location and was instantly greeted by Chris. The store was spotless, well organized, and had a great selection. Chris was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and down-to-earth. I told him I wanted to add some bass to my Audi SQ8--even though the factory system is strong, adding a sub takes things to a whole new level. Chris asked the right questions, showed me a few different options, and even let me listen before deciding. I really appreciated his consultative approach instead of just pushing a product. I ended up going with an AudioControl 12" sub in a prefabbed enclosure, paired with an AudioControl amp, Stinger wiring, and a line output converter. I messaged this place to get a quote on an albeit niche job but the manager seemed interested and asked me to come in for an estimate. I get there and I wasn't acknowledged for a while. There was only 1 other customer in the showroom. After about 15 minutes, a tech comes out from the back and answered some of my questions. He seemed eager to do the job but chris was quick to dismiss it outright. I was told the manager would be back momentarily and he'd have the final say. They told me he'd be 15 minutes tops and I could hang out so I did. An hour passes and the manager still hasn't showed so chris suggests I leave my info and they would contact me. They probably threw it out because I never heard back. I understand if you don't want to do a job but I was transparent with what i needed before I showed so why not just say no before i take the time to come out? I was in need of a new dashcam for my car upon learning that my old one wasn't turning off correctly anymore, plus the date kept resetting back to 12/31/17 every time I turned my car on. My dad suggested Audio Express for purchase and installation, as he used them before to have a remote starter installed in my grandma's minivan. This Audio Express can be found on Sunset and Annie Oakley, tucked away behind Pinkbox Doughnuts and Blue Fin Sushi. After moving my dashcam installation date back several times over the past two months, I finally got it done on a very slow workday where I had nothing going on. The guy at the front desk suggested a great dashcam model that'll work for me - a Memento brand with a touchscreen and that it would warn me with a chime if an accident were to occur. My office is right down the street, so I dropped my car off to have it installed and went back to work. He said that it would be about an hour for the installation to be complete and that they would call me when my car was ready to be picked up. When I returned to pick it up, another guy explained to me how the dashcam worked and that it would also detect motion while my car was off and parked. They did an excellent job installing it and it works much better than my old one. Super convenient service and I am very happy. read more

I really just went in to price a new unit for the car. Like cars do, after 5+ years, things just start to break for no reason. Well my car is 9yrs old and the good 'ol factory unit said no more. A basic jeep audio unit, no flare, no big bass, just something that played music. Let's mot talk about how much the dealership wanted to charge to replace the factory stereo, oooweeee, they are so out of pocket for that. So I went to audio express to go look at some potential and spending $600 (5 and change, I just rounded it off) This included the unit, mic added to car so I can really be hands free when I talk on the phone, installation and warranty. It only took 45mins from the time I walked into the store to the time that I walked out. Amazing customer service, very helpful staff and the store was super clean. Even though I did not plan on making a purchase that day and I did, I did not fell like I was being pressured into making a purchase. Chris was very nice about it, told me that if I didn't want it that day that I could come back later. I thought about it and was like, "you know what? you said 45mins? Yea, go ahead and ring me up". They just made the experience more enjoyable without that the hassle. I will go back when I am ready to add a backup cam to my vehicle. I come from the generation of: if you want to pass your driver's test you better know how to back up, parallel park, park up hill and park down hill (which way to you cut your tires?) so I am still new to this backup camera thing. Friendly and personable service. I had my stock speakers replaced. I took it in first thing in the morning however, they were short staffed and didn't get around to my car in time. So I made another appointment a week later due to scheduling conflicts. They called and said the speaker I chose wouldn't fit in my car door. I'm not sure why it wasn't verified while I was in the showroom so I could try them out first. But anyway, the salesman said infinity was a comparable speaker so I went with that one. After the installation, the salesman tested out the speakers with me. Some weren't working so they took my car in the back and fixed it right away! I would like to go back and have a new stereo installed but want to do a little more research before I purchase one. read more

Took my car in on 11/18/23 to have a subwoofer/amp installed. Wasn't prepared to have it installed that day but they were able to make it happen in a very short window (11:30-2pm). I think Chad was the guy's name who helped me. We had a good conversation about my options for my vehicle. In the end, they were completed early and it sounds AMAZING! The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that they don't/can't accommodate us older guys with arthritis. I didn't have someone who could pick me up while they installed my radio, which took close to two hours, so I had to stand around inside their showroom the entire time without a place to sit down. read more

If you had asked me for feedback immediately after my stereo was installed in July, I would have said that the team at Audio Express was accommodating, informative, and effective. I went in with a broken car stereo system and left with a new one installed- the only problems being that the radio was a little fuzzy and the steering wheel controls no longer worked. Since then, this stereo has seriously become the biggest automotive mistake of my life. Audio Express was lazy- reckless, even- with their install. Opening my dashboard revealed that they cut wires and left them exposed, randomly twisted the antenna around the wires (hence the fuzzy radio, I assume), and used an interface that is completely wrong for my year, make and model (which probably explains the loss of steering wheel controls). The worst part though, is that their cavalier cutting and twisting of wires resulted in my car's computer system being unable to fully communicate anymore. This means that my battery dies every few days due to always-on options that the stereo can't fully control. Months of trying to fix this issue has gotten me nowhere and it is completely overwhelming. For $500 spent in a store that specializes in this specific industry, I am beyond disappointed. They can't control my car, but they could have done a much better job on the installation and been informed and transparent about the fact that the products that they were using were not ideal for my vehicle. Unless you are personally knowledgeable about this topic and know what you are asking for and receiving, be careful about walking in and trusting them to take care of your vehicle. read more

We took our car to get a back-up camera installed and see if they could get the steering wheel radio controls working (we took the necessary kit for the job). When we picked up the car, some speakers and the subwoofer weren't working. We went back and they said they couldn't fix it then, so we left the car overnight. The following day, everything was working, but they said they couldn't get the steering wheel controls working. The next day- battery was dead. We got a new battery. Fast forward barely two weeks, battery was dead again. Upon checking, we discovered the amp was using power even when the car was off, thus the dead batteries. We would NEVER return to that place. I'm glad it worked for many people, but our experience was abysmal. You've been warned. read more

We've all made those car audio install mistakes as teens and completely destroyed our car's dash, trying to do our 1st install ourselves, right? Well the "PROs" at Audio Express on Sunset in Las Vegas continue to make those day 1 mistakes and destroy cars today! Check out the professional work they did on our untouched 2003 Civic (yes it was mint with under 98k ......on an original owner Civic) by violating it with a screw driver, leaving creases, knicks, and scratches all around the dash center piece in an elementary attempt at a Wal-Mart quality install of a very nice Kenwood Double din stereo into the dash. To top it all off, the piss poor center piece was half-assedly trimmed out with some horrendous plastic trim piece which was immediately broken upon install. And as such, like any band of amatures, they then attempted to glue, and double sided tape it into place, all the while scratching it all to hell. While we did enjoy the salesmanship at this location in helping us pick out a nice Kenwood reciver for our daughter's car stereo, you are better off having your equipment installed in a Tiajuana Pep Boys parking lot, after dark. Professionalism ends abruptly after the credit card was swiped. Hugely disappointed. What ever happened to the classy car audio install? Avoid this place like gas station sushi! read more

I had an alarm installed at the same time they damaged my dash installing a radio in my car. The Alarm now goes off randomly all the time 6-10 times a day. I refuse to take it back to the same people who obviously have no idea what they are doing there. So there goes another $200 I lost at this place. I paid $500 for a radio and alarm. I spent $200 fixing my dash they damaged now I'm going to have to go buy a new alarm from a more respectful business for another $200. I was told there was 12 months with 0% financing with available credit...well long story short, I know it wasn't a problem for me to qualify, so we opted for the more expensive package thinking we would have the 12 months to pay it off...well something went "wrong" I'm assuming employee error, so I had to settle for the other financing, so once all was said and done, I wanted to re verifying that I had 12 months to which I am then informed, "oh, no... this one is only 6 months..." which I was not informed of before applying and the process being run, I was told it was the same and now I am put in this 6 month situation I was untold of. DO NOT GO TO AUDIO EXPRESS!!!! I spent $4,500 on a new stereo with them. I missed most of the boating season because my wife was pregnant and delivered our first baby and 2 weeks after we slipped our boat, 4 speakers and the amp were blown out!!! I purchased high end JL speakers and a 6 channel amp. I took my boat back in and they informed me that everything was under manufacturers warranty but that could take months to get a replacement. With only a month or so left in the boating season, I opted to buy new speakers and a new amp so I'd actually have music on my boat. This costed me over $800 dollars. I took my boat on the water the next week and the speakers were fuzzy and sounded blown out!!! I don't know if they are using bunk products but I was infuriated that I got 2 weeks out of my $4,500 dollar purchase and they had the audacity to charge me for new equipment. I NEVER bump loud music to avoid blowing out speakers so either their wiring is off of the speakers they are selling are garbage. I will never go back here again! read more

So I feel compelled to update my review. I went in early this morning to see if service would be any different and actually I was helped out by the general manager. I wanted a double din receiver and I asked the manger to take a look to see if it would fit in my vehicle since they are the experts. He stated...you seen one you seen them all and he concluded it would fit. So I go up to the register to make the appointment and one of the installers comes out to let the manager know that the receiver I wanted would require a ton of extra work or more or less it wouldn't fit unless I was willing to pay a whole day of labor. So that was a waste of time again. I decided to go with a single din receiver but I didn't like the receivers they had. I asked the manager if I was to buy my own receiver how much would it cost me to have them install it. He states $70.00 for a single din receiver. I was like that's it! I told him I recalled it being more in the past. He reassured me it was 70.00. So I said ok and I would be back to make an appointment after I picked up a receiver I wanted. So I went back a few hours later to make the appointment. This time I got one of the installers who was checking me out. After he rang it up he states that the price is 189.00 to install it. I say to him that the manager told me it would cost 70.00 bucks to install the radio so he looks at him with a look like ....Here we go again. Now the General Manager starts to back peddle and says....Well labor is like $110.00 and then parts come up to be like 189.00. I stated you told me $70.00 bucks earlier. He really didn't have an answer for me on that one. I started to google how much it would be for parts to install the receiver I purchased but I didn't have the time to fool around with looking up prices at the time. There was another guy that was getting checked out and I overheard him tell the guy the labor is around 89 bucks. At that moment I started to realize that this place is just pulling numbers out of the air as they go. Look I understand that they are trying to run a business and they need to make a profit as well....my complaint is it needs to be prices listed or they need to be honest up front with prices.
