I'm disappointed with my experience at Auto Dynamic Services. This was my second interaction with the shop, and I felt the situation was not handled effectively. My mother dropped off her car on September 16 and authorized the $89 diagnostic. After the shop emailed its findings, she spoke with a representative around September 19 about the next steps. When she tried to arrange pickup and towing, she was told the diagnostic fee had to be paid before the car could be released. My mother was working and couldn't come in to pay at that time. My understanding is that the shop agreed to waive storage fees if she paid the $89 on Tuesday, September 22. We were also told that if payment wasn't made by then, storage charges would apply starting from the day the car was dropped off. She wasn't paid on Tuesday and couldn't make the payment. She says she called the shop beforehand, although the shop said it had no record of that communication. I wasn't involved in the situation until September 25, when I came in prepared to resolve the matter and pay for the repairs in full. The shop reduced the storage charge from $600 to $300, while the $89 diagnostic fee remained applicable. I appreciate that reduction. However, the shop declined to proceed with the repairs, and we left without the car being serviced. I understand that businesses have policies and expenses to manage, and I understand that there may have been a communication breakdown. Still, things are expensive for people right now, and I would have hoped the goal of a service business would be to help find a way forward when a customer is trying to resolve the issue. I came in ready to pay for the repairs, only three days after the agreed payment date, but the shop chose not to take on the work. That left the situation feeling strange and difficult to understand. My concern is not only the storage charge. It's the different understandings about the payment arrangement and communication, and that the repair did not move forward even when I came in prepared to pay. Based on this experience and my previous interaction with the shop, I cannot recommend Auto Dynamic Services. read more

Avoid this shop. I paid $675 for an "advanced diagnostic" and still wasn't given the actual pressure readings or scan data supporting their nearly $5,000 A/C recommendation. They even admitted the condenser replacement was preventative. Then they wanted another $750 for programming. Overpriced, evasive, and a terrible experience. Get a second opinion before giving them a dime. read more

PLEASE READ Don't go to this business. Save your money & go somewhere else. We took our truck there about a week ago to get it looked at. They told us it was the computer. They said it would cost us $2600. My husband agreed & signed all the paperwork. When my husband went to pick up the truck today & paid for what we owed. They told my husband to bring back the truck in a week cuz they were going to charge us an extra $800. The extra $800 was Never discussed with us. We should've did our research. Because seeing how many bad reviews they have on yelp & fb would've changed our minds about going there. Shame on this business. My husband paid them the money that was owed. The owner proceeded to tell my husband that he had to bring the truck back in a week & pay an extra $800, or They would be taking all the new parts off the truck & putting all the old parts back in. My husband told them he won't be paying an extra $800. The owner had an attitude with my husband. Please go somewhere else. Check the comments on Facebook. Someone is calling them a scam. read more

My 22 year old Sequoia broke down on Labor Day morning last week in my hotel parking garage. Of the three places that were opened we had the car towed to Auto Dynamics. It was the right decision. After a very thorough inspection of the car, with detailed pictures and videos sent to me, the estimate was well over $6,000. Way more than the car was worth. But we were stuck in Vegas with no way to get back to L.A. So we approved the estimate. When they notified us that the car would take more time to fix than originally thought, we rented a car and drove back to L.A. Then there were problems with their machine shop and more delays and a proposed huge increase in price, but, in the end, they honored their original estimate and completed the repair work to my satisfaction. I drove the car back to L.A. and it drives better than it has in years. I'm very happy with their repairs and their professionalism and the honorable behavior of J.R. and Jorge. read more

Extremely disappointing experience, and I will not be coming back. Before driving here, I CALLED specifically about a very simple issue: the 12V/cigarette-lighter outlet in my BMW wasn't charging my phone. I explained that I did not want to pay an unnecessarily high diagnostic fee for something that could be as simple as a bad charger or a blown fuse. I specifically asked whether I could walk in and whether they could first try another charger or use one of their tools to determine if the outlet was actually the problem BEFORE doing a full diagnostic. The person I spoke with told me they had tools they could try first. That conversation is the entire reason I decided to drive about 30 minutes to this shop on a Sunday. When I arrived, suddenly I was told they wanted approximately $400 just to diagnose the issue. For perspective, even a BMW dealership quoted me around $200 for diagnostics. What made the experience even worse was that the person there insisted he had told me about the ~$400 charge on the phone. I specifically remember the conversation because avoiding an excessive diagnostic charge was the entire point of my questions before making the drive. Had I been told upfront that they would require approximately $400 to investigate the outlet, I obviously would not have driven there. And here's the best part: about 15 minutes after leaving, I stopped at an electronics store, bought another car charger, plugged it in, and discovered that NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR. My old charger had simply gone bad. So a $400 diagnostic fee was being requested for a problem I identified myself in minutes by trying a different charger. I find this kind of business practice extremely frustrating. Not everyone is technically inclined or comfortable troubleshooting their own vehicle, and I hate to think about someone paying hundreds of dollars to investigate something this trivial when a basic check could identify the problem. If they had simply done what I was told over the phone--try the obvious basic checks first--I actually would have considered returning here for brake pads and other future maintenance. Instead, this experience accomplished the exact opposite. Trust matters enormously when choosing a mechanic. After this interaction, I have no confidence bringing my vehicle here for a more significant repair where I would have to rely on their recommendations and pricing. I wasted an hour of driving, but at least I learned where NOT to take my car. read more

We are from California and took our car here because we were having issues when arriving to see family in Las Vegas. They quoted us $4100 to fix our car and were extremely rude when we decided not to fix the car with them. Told us to come get our car. Trailered our car home to California and paid $800 to fix it here!!!!!! And the estimate they gave us wasn't even for the "detailed diagnostic" that we ended up fixing! They are crooks!!!!!!! Taking advantage of people!!!!!! They do not know what they're doing! Get a second opinion!!!!!! read more

Called over the phone about A/C issue, very nice and the place looked clean and professional so I assumed it was worth a 40 minute drive especially if I could get it fixed! What they failed to tell me is they do not work with cars previously unknown charged R-134a refrigerant because their machinery is too sensitive, or to have a $175 flushing fee just to see any deeper issues that can also take time. Something that could easily be said over the phone or on the website. I assume they have this to make more money on newer/specialty vehicles or scare and hustle away little guys like me. Also! Looking on this yelp page... very weird to have AI photos posted about how yelp is incorrect, looks bad. Own up to your overcharging! Lol read more

Incredible service quickly fixed my vehicle. I'm so happy I would highly recommend them in las Vegas

Took our vehicle to get a diagnosis of improper AC, they explained how they recommend 2 components being replaced and charged a cost of $4k..ok. BUT, returned a couple weeks later, because the problem still wasnt fixed, they took a 2nd look and found there was a leak in the line. The part was around $250 and the total cost out the door was well above $1k. So they wanted me in at $5k just to fix the original issue.... Got a 2nd opinion and saved huge money, I ordered the part new OEM from factory at only $140, and got it installed for $300. I get it, they're in business to make money and have lot of overhead by the looks, but I gave enough, and the original diagnostic was poor and a shot in the dark because that didnt fix the issue, anyone can just guess and replace everything to "fix" it. The other place i went to was ASE, legit and shook their heads at the cost dynamic charged me, especially how they wanted more after a 2nd look not fixing it the first time. Even making money off parts because i ordered it for way less, took 8 days to arrive.. The good news is i saved thousands by letting someone else finish the job correctly and paid half of the price on parts. Honestly, not going to be a return customer, take someone elses money. This is a free market of choice. read more

I had an coolant leak and engine overheating issue with my 2014 Smart Fortwo. After speaking with Jorge on the phone, I felt confident that Auto Dynamics Services was the most competent shop to take care of the issue. Although Jorge spoke extensively on the initial call regarding the price of level 1 diagnostic fee and the diagnostic process, I misunderstood what is exactly covered under the level 1. Luckily, Auto Dynamics Services kept all the phone conversations in recordings to revisit, and Jorge sent me the recording. Jorge and his team were 100% correct, and I apologized my misunderstanding of the technical automotive terms (block test vs compression test). Jorge was nice enough to waive the level 1 diagnostic fee and allowed me to pick up my Smart with no charge, even though it was my mistake. From this experience, I could tell how meticulous, accurate, and professional the Auto Dynamic Services team are. read more

I brought my vehicle to Auto Dynamic Services to diagnose a parasitic battery drain because they claimed to have top-tier diagnostic equipment. After a $700 diagnosis charge, they still couldn't identify the issue. When I picked up the vehicle, it wasn't reassembled properly, and the check engine and traction control lights were left on--issues that weren't there before. We brought it back to get that fixed, and during that time, they suddenly claimed to have found the issue, recommending a part we then paid for. They then charged an additional $700 to install our part. Over a week and a half later, with no communication from them, I called for an update. I was met with hostility from the owner, which was both unprofessional and unacceptable. This entire experience felt like a waste of time and money. The lack of clear communication, accountability, and respect for customers is deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The engine light suddenly came on in our 2013 avalanche. We called and got in the same day. They diagnosed it within a day and had it fixed within two more. That was over a busy weekend just before Christmas. The detailing work was extraordinary. When a 2013 truck with 140,000 miles looks this good, they have to be magicians. Their customer service was beyond compare. You don't see Service like this very often. They kept us abreast of the progress and had it done just as promised, with quite extensive work. read more

Called them just to ask if they were able to fix what was wrong with the car. I was very specific as to what the issue was because I had already taken it to Toyota and they diagnosed it. He seemed clueless about what I was telling him. Then he started going on and on that he could not quote me until he had the vehicle. I told him I was not asking him to quote me at all and that I was just hoping that it would be less than what I was quoted at Toyota (the amount was not mentioned and he didn't ask). He didn't like the comment and told me to find someone else to fix it and hung up. Unreal! I was not rude at all. read more

I do not recommend this shop. I was initially quoted $1,500 for a sealant repair, but the final bill totaled $5,200. During the maintenance, I was informed that a fuel injector had been broken and was told it failed due to age. Shortly after, I received another call stating that all eight fuel injectors needed replacement for the same reason. Later, I learned that not all of the fuel injectors were actually damaged. When I raised my concerns with Jorge, he was unable to provide a clear explanation. At that point, he rudely tossed a disclaimer packet over the counter and was told I needed to read/sign it, which stated that I could not pursue legal action against the shop. Additionally, despite the shop advertising a military discount on their website, I was denied this promotion. I am sharing my experience to help other customers avoid a similar situation when choosing Auto Dynamic Services. read more

We've been to Auto Dynamic twice in the past two weeks--with two different vehicles. They were recommended to us by another mechanic who wasn't able to help with my husband's truck. He spoke with Andrus a few times before bringing the truck in, just to get a feel for the place. We dropped it off on a Saturday for a specific issue, and they let us know they would do a full inspection first--the cost of which would be applied to the repair. We received a detailed text with exactly what they found and what needed to be done. No upselling, no extra issues--just clear, honest communication. They also confirmed when the truck would be ready (yes, they're open both Saturday and Sunday!). When my car's A/C went out, it was a no-brainer--we brought it to Auto Dynamic. Same great experience: dropped it off Saturday, got a text shortly after with a breakdown of the A/C repair (plus one additional issue, which we suspected). Again, honest communication and quick turnaround. We're officially loyal customers. If you're looking for a shop that's trustworthy, responsive, and thorough, Auto Dynamic is it. read more

Extremely quick, provided excellent service, would highly recommend them if your looking for an honest diagnostic and repair.

Took my Prius C here. They read the trouble codes. $75. Ok, that's normal. But then they said: "We need to read the secondary codes, that will be another $675 please." The secondary codes are literally another button push on the OBD2 reader. That is just predatory. I took it to another shop and had the entire problem fixed same day for less than this places "secondary diagnostic". You have been warned. Also, check out this guys responses to any negative review, its like a jilted teenager. Can't wait to hear what he says about me instead of addressing the actual issue. read more

BEWARE ! Went in for an oil change. They gave a complementary inspection. When I came to pick up my vehicle, They claimed that my stud and lugnut was cross threaded after showing that it broke off upon them trying to take the wheel off. They only offered to fix the issue after and only after I left a 1 star review on other review sites. I then explained that I respectfully will have to decline as I didn't know if I can trust a shop like that. The shop manager proceeded to reply to my review with my vehicle report (unprofessional). He also conveniently forgot to mention that their original quote for the work was $80 more than other shops in the area so not very competitive and that he offered to fix after he saw the review. read more

This place is a scam. I took my car to the shop a few days ago because the check engine light was on and I failed a smog test. I called beforehand and they told me that it was a $125 diagnosis fee. After an hour, I got an email saying that it would be $2,800 to fix my car. I was a little suspicious and decided to get a second opinion. When I went to pick up the car, they said that I owed them $375 because they needed to do something called a level 1 diagnosis. When I asked what the results of the level 1 diagnosis was, they weren't able to explain it in normal language. Then they told me that they wouldn't accept credit card, I had to go back home to get $375. I find this extremely suspicious. Never my life have I seen a major company not accept credit card like that. I imagine that the mechanics were high-fiving each other and pocketing $100 each. I ended up taking my car to another shop where they diagnosed and fixed the problem for $160 total. Also I noticed that my brand new $200 sunglasses were missing from the glove box. I called them about it and they said that nobody had seen it. The bottom line is this is probably one of the biggest rip-off companies I've ever dealt with. Maybe it's because I'm a woman of color that they thought they could fool me, but I'm no idiot. read more
