These guys replied to me an estimate of $799 and then mentioned that that was before the $95/ hr labor fee. This is an example of business trying to stick it to the consumers. I brought them my '12 Ford Mustang w/a factory radio (am/fm, cd,usb, mp3, satellite radio) and was "upgraded" to a compatible touch screen JVC, BUT, it eliminated my satellite function and mp3. To make matters worse, the 6 month old, 5 channel amp I have they refused to install, but offered to sell me one from their shop! And when I went back to speak to a manager; the manager was never around (on 3 different occasions)! Even notififying their home office and sending an emphatic email got no response AT ALL! $1600 waisted! Do your homework, shop around and go elsewhere; just stay away from the Maryland Pkwy location! read more

We spent over 5k on new speakers, screen, etc for my Jeep. First it would only take a few days for the parts to be mailed. About 11 days later they finally recieved the parts. When we dropped off the vehicle they said it would take 1 day, possibly 2 to install everything. At the end of the second day it isn't ready and all I hear are excuses. Now since they are closed Sunday and Monday my car will be there at least 3 more days. They seem to be more interested in telling you what you want to hear so they can make the sell. Once they have your money you are no longer a priority. I don't recommend this business. I will update this if the service gets better, but I doubt t that will happen. read more

I decided to give Audio Express a try to upgrade my factory radio. I've had my car for 5 years (bought it new) and the aux input kind of wore over time I guess. I called and asked if they had any wireless solutions, such as bluetooth that could be installed fairly easily. They said yes, and told me to come in. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was a little foot traffic, but not anything crazy. I quickly picked out my radio system and asked the sales rep's thoughts on it and he said it was great for what I was looking for. I got a quote and decided to install the same day, which they said would take a few hours but it ended up being quicker...I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing, since I don't know much about radio/stereo connections in vehicles. They offered a warranty (I believe it was 2 weeks?) but I declined b/c I didn't think that was necessary. Anyway, it got installed and all seemed well when we tested it out at the shop so I went on with my day. Not even a few days later, I started to experience random static. I know it isn't my speakers b/c I've had those replaced/checked a few times, and they are fine. It's like the connection is bad, or a screw is loose somewhere. Considering I paid close to $300, I'd expect everything to be working but that doesn't seem to be the case. I don't understand what the issue is when the system is supposed to be brand new, but obviously since I didn't get the warranty, it's out of their hands. read more

In case anyone is wondering what "please reach out to Jason or Edder we would be glad to make it right for you" meant.. I called and spoke with Edder he told me he was on vacation that week and apologized. He also mentioned "I saw the pictures of the work that kid did to your car and stated it was bad work" obviously implying his own staff took pictures because it was so horribly installed. He also mentioned that kid no longer worked there because of his shitty work. Or lack of work I should say. Edder started several times "we take our yelp reviews seriously" and "we want you to know we're here for you" in the end Edder tried to get me to come back in to get my back door stereos installed and said "come on in maybe we'll see what kind of deal we can make" So in the end what "we would be glad to make it right" meant is come on back in to spend MORE MONEY and maybe I'll give you a tiny bit off. - assuming that's the deal they were trying to make. Are you kidding me? Review now changed to a one star. You guys CLEARLY DON'T CARE ABOUT A CUSTOMER WHO JUST SPEND NEARLY A GRAND and you have the audacity to say that's "making it right" 0/5 would definitely not recommend this place. Awesome Experience By An All-Pro Staff! I initially requested to install an old JL audio amp I had for my Focal speakers as they were only powered by the factory head unit but Jason was quick to point out this amp was their low end unit and couldn't match the quality of the Focals. And so my education began! Jason was patient and spent a good deal of time explaining the nuances of various amps and how they affect high end speakers like Focal. We decided on JL's top of the line HD 600 for this install. I also wanted some mild (not wild) bass. He directed me to the JL Audio power wedge which turned out to be a major factor in the over enjoyment of this system. Jason also recommended something called a FIX86 digital signal correction unit which is basically the brains of the whole operation. Time for the Install...! Vern is a magician when it comes to finding ways to make things work together. He uncovered a problem from the initial installers of the Focal units that I had done from a big box chain store I will not mention its name but their flagship colors are blue and yellow! Vern found an excellent solution to install the crossovers the amplifier the fix 86, the JL audio power wedge in the trunk smoothly and out of the way. He also spent an enormous amount of time calibrating the Fix86 to my personal listening needs regarding the type of music I enjoy. The result was a phenomenal success. I hear things in songs I've listened to for years that I never knew were there! The base is tight and natural. The highs and mid's are flawless. Thanks to Audio Express and the team for making this an enjoyable experience... highly recommended! read more

I took my car in to have a security system installed I spoke with Jesus who gave me a price of $517. which was supposed to be a big discount. He said they couldn't do it that day because they were very busy to bring it back on Tuesday by 9am when they open and I would be the1st because they are closed Sundays & Mondays. I was there on Tuesday morning @ 8:20am and when I went in as soon as they opened they has another excuse. Because now the excuse was that people had dropped there cars off over the weekend. Had a car alarm (Viper) installed about a year ago with fantastic service from Jason and crew. A few months ago, we had to lower the sensitivity of it (loud cars driving by would set it off) and they adjusted it right away with no charge. Finally a few weeks ago, someone tried to steal the car and cut the wire to the alarm, but little did they know there is a kill switch if the wire is cut, so they couldn't get the car started! That saved us right there! We went back to see Jason that same Sunday morning and told him what happened. They rewired it and made some adjustments, once again no charge. I have nothing but great things to say about Jason and all of the people at Audio Express! Thank you guys SO MUCH! I took my amp and speakers here to have installed in my 2007 Jaguar XKR convertible. It took them a half a day to build a custom box to hold my two 12" speakers for my small trunk. Everything looks perfect, I can easily disconnect and remove my speakers quickly and the system was integrated flawlessly and was very affordable. My original quote I feel the was a good deal, but when I came to pay the bill it was $200 lower them the previous declared cost. I highly recommend these people to do your audio work. Update: I had my two 12" speakers removed s a 16" RockfordFosgate placed in my trunk that has a 2,500 watt rms, 5,000 peak watts. It sounds and looks perfect! read more

Just went in to get some pricing and received excellent customer service. Jesus answered all my questions and quoted me a great price to install a sub, amp and new tweeters in my Audi A7. I have booked my appointment and will update on how the install turns out. So far 5 out of 5 when it comes to customer service. Update: Just finished getting my amp and subwoofer installed and it knocks. Amp is at half gain to break in the speakers so there is still more bass to add in a couple of weeks. The installer was able to hide the amp in the side panel of my A7 with the factory amp so everything is hidden and looks clean. Great service and install!!! Came here on Saturday 2/2/13 around 3-4ish to get a new stereo put in my car. They offer the same services as the other location for the same prices. Chris was pretty helpful in helping me make my decision between two different stereos and what upgrades to my speakers I should make in the future & also answered my questions about car alarms, ect. Installation took about 45 minutes and they got me right in. The other location on Rainbow was a three hour wait so I figured it was worth a shot to give them a call and drive over and it was! My only complaint is that when I got back in my car, my stuff had SO VERY OBVIOUSLY been looked through (NOTHING TAKEN -Restaurant.com coupons, LOTS of CDs -I listen to death metal, good luck stealing something you want to hear from my car), in areas of the car I'm assuming not needed to be looked through (like my glovebox, it was just a regular install). I don't like people looking through my stuff & had been trusting enough of you with my car, just don't do it. Would've probably thrown them a five since Chris was so nice but the digging through my stuff part kinda peeved me. (If you know more about installing cd players than I do and that's normal, just go with a five star rating :P) I will probably go back if I do decide to do some upgrading but next time if I have something of value in my car I'll take it with me just to be on the safe side. --**Updated to a 5 for the explanation of having to dismantle the glovebox for installation.** read more
