I tip my hat and shout a huge thank you to the people over at Brad's Car Tunes in Eugene. The part they needed to finish the install took about a month to aquire. While it was a Pain, they kept me informed of what was happening. The day of the install, they got it done in less than 2 hours. Install was clean and neat. After getting it home, I found 1 little issue, called them up and they said, "Bring it back, and we'll fix it!" I did and 20 mintues later everything worked perfectly. We had the install today. Notably, the cost came in approximately $200 above the original range that was quoted. Had nothing in writing in terms of a quote, my bad. I was not invited to see the radio before paying, even though I asked to do so. After paying, we went to connect the device to our phone, and low and behold, there was already another phone linked to that Head Unit. When I asked why that would be my question was ignored twice. Eventually after pushing I asked if this could have accidentally been an open box item or a return, and heard that that would not have been possible. When asked why someone else's phone was already paired to this unit, she didn't have an explanation that made any sense. Long story short. Install work looks great. Good product. Don't appreciate the business practices. Quoting seems like a really nebulous topic, I feel like I was scammed a bit, and the staff behaved less than professionally. I would not recommend BCT.

In fact for me, it was quite the contrary as I did have issues. However, how it was handled and dealt with, if I could give an extra star for their efforts, I would do so. I purchased a new deck replacing my broken factory one. There were many options to choose from, but Jeremy helped me with a selection of what I wanted and the features that worked for me. There was no upsell to take this one and so on. It was appropriate and I appreciate that. Everything went smoothly and was done pretty quickly. Unit installed and off I went. It was a big improvement over what I had before. The one option that I really wanted was the Apple Car Play. it makes a huge difference if you happen to have Apple products. Then I started to run into issues. For some reason, the maps were all over the place. As in, every time I drove, it would say I was literally miles away, and then back, and then gone again until I stopped. Then it would find me just fine, until I moved. Needless to say, it would work, then not work, then work, and not work. Multiple drives and various phones to see if the problem was just me and my phone, or the system or the deck. Several attempts were made to make things correct, always willing to do what was needed to make it right, never a question the something wasn't correct and it needed to be fixed. Finally a fix was determined and once it was, it fixed the problem. But because of that, a particular feature (Bluetooth) could no longer be used. Without hesitation, the deck was replaced with one that didn't have Bluetooth in it to save me another $100. That's customer service like I have not seen in some time. So, if you are needing an upgrade, replacement, install, anything regarding audio, alarms, heck anything they sell, rest assured that Brad's in Springfield is not only the place to go, but THE place to go. Scheduling was easy and they even offered to give me a ride which was not needed, but truly appreciated. Sadly, the quality of work just isn't there. The window tint on 2 of my windows is peeling on the edge and squeaking and there are hundreds of small bubbles/debris in the tint from what I am assuming is poor quality microfiber towels used to clean the windows. The tint was also not cut properly in several areas leaving an unsightly gap at the top of each side window. I went back to inquire on having them redo the windows and received a great deal of pushback and excuses about the debris. In the end they agreed to redo 2 of the windows, but given the results I later decided that I wouldn't really be happy and am going elsewhere to have my tint redone. If you aren't picky and just looking for a good price this place might be for you, but if you have a nice car or are an enthusiast who appreciates high quality of work it is probably best to look elsewhere. Hopefully the owner(s) take this review as an opportunity to perfect their craft and work toward better results for their customers. I always hesitate to leave less than favorable reviews for any business, but I have to be honest when I say my experience just wasn't great.

My local shop didn't do a very good job with the diagnostics and only suggested replacing the top cat. Which had been replaced when I bought the rig last year due to Lithia selling me a beater. They had the exhaust system replaced and fixed all the issues that were present. Since it was a consignment to a muffler shop, it certainly did come with a price tag. But as a person residing in the Seattle area for the last 8 years, it was still a much better deal than anyone would have given me. They were kind and understood that I would need extra time and attention to haul the vehicle into them. Given how hot she was running, I was concerned it would overheat. They paid attention and noted recommendations that I knew about due to friends looking at the car but never were mentioned by the other shops who had worked on her. Exceptionally professional and goes above and beyond. You get what you pay for and nobody is a miracle worker, so try keeping that in mind when you need auto repairs.
