WARNING: Aggressive Staff, Hidden Reserves, and Zero Accountability -- BEWARE We recently had one of the most frustrating and disturbing experiences I've ever had with any business, let alone an auction house. Auction Solutions Inc. in Omaha left my wife and young child shaken and me completely stunned at the lack of professionalism, honesty, and basic human decency. We bid in good faith on a set of sockets and several other lots during one of their online auctions. No reserve was visible. Nothing indicated we weren't actually winning the items. After winning that first lot, we continued bidding--excited, having fun, and truly enjoying the process as a family. But when my wife and young son went to pick everything up, they were told the main item--the one that started it all--wasn't actually sold because of a hidden, behind-the-scenes reserve. It had "not met reserve," something that was never communicated in the interface. When my wife asked about it, a younger employee named Caleb was brought out--and that's when things went from bad to completely inappropriate. Caleb got aggressive. His tone, body language, and words were hostile and confrontational. He spoke down to my wife, postured like he was ready for a fight, and made my wife and child feel so uncomfortable they walked away. My wife was literally scared that the situation could escalate in front of our child. That is completely unacceptable. Over the phone, I tried to calmly resolve the issue. Caleb kept doubling down and actually said, "If your items sold for 10% of your reserve, what would YOU do?" I responded, "I'd honor the sale or make it right with the client." That clearly touched a nerve, because his response was unbelievably smug: "Well, you can get your own auction license for $49.99 and run your own auctions." I expected more from the owner. When I spoke to Shane, I was shocked to hear her defend Caleb's behavior. She even admitted their technology has had problems in the past but still demanded I show proof (which I have--a full screen recording). I told her I'd gladly provide it if she agreed that Caleb would apologize in person to my wife and son for how they were treated. Her response? "I can't promise that." Let that sink in: even with proof in hand, she would not commit to making her employee do the decent thing. That kind of leadership tells me everything I need to know. I write this review not just out of frustration, but because I genuinely hope it reaches someone in that company who still believes in doing the right thing. If you're reading this from Auction Solutions: you have a real opportunity to reflect on this situation and choose to do better. Treating families with disrespect and refusing to take accountability when your own system fails is a fast way to lose trust. That said, I believe people--and companies--can change. I will be giving them one more chance. We're participating in one more auction, and based on how they handle it, I will update this review. the service was excellent Shayne was excellent to work with. Her staff was also very exceptional. especially Richard and Gail. They went above and beyond. I was amazed that 40 years of items were gone in such a very short time. I would definitely recommend using auction solutions. I feel mine was a big challenge for them and they did very well. I have experience with a lot of Auction Companies, and this is by far the worst to deal with. They have terrible descriptions. A few examples I have as a buyer: Purchased an item. Then received a call the next day that the item had a reserve. Nothing in the description or sale value that mentions a reserve. It was their fault, and they give me the option of either getting a refund for the value I paid or pay them additional money. They sold the item without any mention of a reserve. It doesn't seem fair to add reserve after an item sells. Purchased an electrical item from them. When I picked it up there was not any wires for the system. No power cord. No special ended speaker cords. They told me that they didn't say the items came with cords. An honest description would have mentioned the lack of any wires with the sale. No offer to refund. Item has no value without wires. As a buyer, be aware of what you might or might not be getting. UPDATE 2.6.24- At no point was this a complaint about the Scooter I received. It was a nice scooter even for the additional money. My frustration is that they did not indicate a reserve on the auction listing. If a seller has a reserve, it should be identified with the item. read more

Do not buy something on their online auction and have it shipped to you. Shayne Fili charged me $98.14 to have a 11lb. item shipped 330 miles. No communication from him when the item was going to be shipped and no communication about the cost. The amount just showed up on my credit card. The shipping cost was twice as much as others charge for their shipping rates. Their communication is terrible. They sneak the cost in on your credit card and don't tell you about it. This happened on 12/21/2022 right before Christmas. What a screw job. Again don't buy from this guy/company because you'll be screwed over. read more

First the good news. I found the staff working at Auction Solutions hard working, professional, and eager to help. The bad news is that management i.e. Shayne Fili was disorganized, unprofessional, untrustworthy, and overall incompetent. At the beginning Auction Solutions reviewed all the items that were to be sold of my uncle's estate. There was an agreement to have four separate auctions. The first debacle was that the items to be sold at the live auctions were not on Proxybid until just four days before the sale. Advertising for these two sales was limited to a few newsletters and nonexistent for the first two on-line internet sales. When arriving for the live auctions it was revealed not all the items to be sold were ready. A container full of items had not been gone through yet. At first Auction Solutions wanted to sell those items only online via Proxybid. I argued that point and insisted we have a live auction too. There were no advertisements for this sale outside of Proxybid itself. Because of the poor organization of the previous sales, I put together a list of action items for the final sale. Shayne agreed to follow the listing when I discussed it with her. After that meeting however, it was completely ignored and none of the communication was provided. At the end of the final sale, we were given the items back that we were told did not receive any offers on the first two internet auctions. After opening up the boxes at home we realized that some had never been opened and never entered into any of the auctions. Overall, you cannot trust Shayne to carry through with what she says. I went to the Brix Village Point auction at the Auction Solutions location at 78th and Military and I had an amazing time. You walk in and check in with the employees. They were super nice, accommodating, and answered all of my questions beforehand. It was a two-ring auction so basically, two auctions were going at the same time by two different auctioneers nearly right next to each other; so you had to really concentrate on the auctioneer that you wanted to pay attention to. The auctioneers were great and were super nice throughout the entire 6 hour auction. At the item pickup at the Brix location that following week, someone gave out all but one bottle in a lot of 9 bottles that I purchased to another person by mistake. It was for the better as the beer that the other person was supposed to get was of a better variety than the beer I would have gotten. Also, they couldn't find one of my six packs of booze for another lot so they ended up calling me a few weeks later and I had to run out to 78th and Military to grab it. Kind of inconvenient but it was nice to get out of the office. Figuring all of the booze in different lots, and all of the bidders, having only these two mishaps for me was pretty dang good. All in all, one of the funnest, best auctions I've been to. If I see another auction that I'm interested in and Auction Solutions is holding it, I'll definitely go. read more

As a banker I used Auction Solutions to maximize the amount of collateral proceeds on a retail business. We worked with them on plans to run a close out sale over 2 months and then an auction of the remaining inventory and fixtures. Shayne, Mark and everyone ran the computers, balanced the daily tills and deposited all checks and cash with reconciliations. They ran all of the ads and radio promotions. They utilized internet auction services whereby we had buyers from around the country. All fees charged were plainly advertised and they were very professional and polite to everyone. They provided the best outcome for both the borrower AND us as lenders. I have referred them to anyone who wants a professional and quality auction that maximizes the amount possible at auction. Extremely disappointed would be an understatement. I hired this company to HELP with my dads estate sale. They did everything but help. The main issue was disorganization. From start to finish. I wasn't asking Shayne (President) or Mark (VP) to do anything other than what their company offers and I couldn't even get that! We were and still are going through a difficult time with the passing of my father so I was hoping after hiring this company they would take care of the sale and everything involving the sale... that couldn't be further than the truth. Some examples include- misplacing keys to vehicles, cutting off bidding offers when they were continuing to rise because they had to "move on", putting the wrong start time on fliers (fliers said 11am but the website said 10am???), they also put an ad in the paper WITH THE WRONG ADDRESS! Never got any sort of apology whatsoever. Their percentage is 15% but I don't even feel like the deserve 10% of my proceeds. I am writing this review in hopes someone sees it and saves themselves headaches and frustration!! read more

This auction house has mostly online auctions only, with no previews. I can not look at the merchandise closely therefore i cant bid to my maximum. I would not be surprised if the positive reviews about this company are fake. I've been bidding with this company for several years and I've finally given up completely. They have nice employees who try to help people but the management does not have their stuff together. Over half of the auctions I've bid on have problems. Missing items, products not as described, and an owner who blames everything and everyone but her bad management of her sales. The last sale was at a hospital that recently shut down. I bought 6 lots for over $700. 4 out of 6 lots had missing items. I only asked for a refund on 2 out of those 4 lots and was only offered a partial refund. After clearly dictating what the problem was and why I need a refund, the company agreed that the issues were not my fault, but blamed a third party and said I could not have a full refund. I've ran across many other people with similar experiences. I'm not just a disgruntled customer from one experience. This has built up and broken down my patience over time. I highly recommend bidding with another auction company unless you are a vet in the industry. If there is a chance that something shady might happen to your purchase it probably will. Although I have made some decent money on the things I was able to take home, the pain and agony of dealing to constant mistakes does NOT make it worth spending your money here. I wish I could give this company negative stars. We hired this company to help with my step fathers estate sale and regretted that decision almost immediately. From start to finish disorganization was a constant issue. At first they were very unresponsive I think because they thought we were small potatoes compared to other estate sales they've handled in the past. Tried calling to get a hold of Shayne (President) and Mark (VP) who always said they would get back to us. Never did. When they finally came to the property they told us their crew would move all the furniture and sale items from the house down to our Morton Building where the sale would be taking place. A week before the auction all of a sudden they retract and claim they do not have the crew to move the items and they "never promised that". Other mistakes include- putting an ad in the paper with the wrong address, printing fliers with 11am but their website said 10am, false advertising (saying that project cars had titles when in fact they didn't), misplacing keys. Another extremely upsetting instance was bidding on my step fathers skid loader. The bids kept going up and up and up both online and in person but Shayne cut them off saying "we have to move on" so we lost money there. We were struggling with the loss of our loved one and hoped Auction Solutions would take care of the sale and make things easier on us. Unfortunately we were wrong and it was a constant stress. Legitimately have never seen a scam in action until I encountered these awful people. Auction Solutions was recommended to me by a realtor. It was the first time in 27 yeas I had a customer abandon my premises and I was apprehensive about what direction to take. I thought we should have one bid for the contents, Shane convinced me that the contents sold in lots would bring more money. I have attended many auctions that Auctions Solutions conducted since moving to Omaha in the last 7 years. Overall I had good experiences until I purchased a vehicle this December. The vehicle was used and during the auction was advertised as "running and driving". I purchased the vehicle online and when I arrived the day of the auction to pick it up, it would not start. I was there for three hours trying to get it started and during that time was told by their employees excuse after excuse. Too cold outside, dead battery, no fuel, and the fuel was jelling. We tried to jump the truck, no luck. Went and purchased fuel luck. During this time another vehicle they sold would not start and a skid steer did not have a key with it. After three house I finally got to speak with the auctioneer and he said it was working two days ago when he drove it 10 yards. After more discussion he promised a refund. I was refunded the purchase price, but they have not refunded the 13% internet premium. They have said that a third party vendor has the money, that was on 27 December and they have not responded to a single email or call since then. By the way they sold the truck a week later and collected a internet premium or buyers premium on that sale also. Over the years I have spent thousands at their auctions, but they have lost me as a customer over $325. read more

This is a horrible group to deal with. They for one rush through their work often putting in things that you may have not wanted up for auction. Their site does not work right and their questions and answers thing on their site is very unhelpful. I would go with ebay or amazon where you have 100% control, not these people who cannot be trusted. I also found that a few of my things were missing after they were there that were not going in the auction. I would not trust these people. Bad to deal with. Do not recommend. read more

Completely unorganized. I went to an auction that they ran and have many parts from other peoples purchases, as I am sure some of the other buyers have pieces of mine. This disorganization obviously causes the sellers to receive less of a take because they bulk everything in together and have no clue what they are actually selling in the lots. So disappointed, they rush through and are all over the place so you don't know half the time what is even being sold. read more

Just attended my first and last auction at Auction Solutions in Omaha. Unorganized, merchandise not properly described for sale, and worst of all the employees repeatedly bid against people just to run up the prices. It was the most unethical behaviour I've ever seen during an auction. read more
