He is passionate about improving healthcare for LGBT people as well as for other minorities (he also works at the Hispanic clinic). He spends time with patients, listens to them, and is very skilled in general. I was impressed that he was able to diagnose and treat my rare condition. Prior to seeing him, I had spent over a decade seeing other physicians and not finding answers. In addition to his role at various community clinics, Dr. Ng is an educator for multiple medical schools including prestigious Case Western. He is also an advocate for the LGBT community. If you need a doctor who is compassionate, smart, sensitive to the needs of minorities, and involved in community outreach, Dr. Ng will probably be a great fit for you. He stays fairly busy, so it may take a month or two to get an appointment, but it is well-worth the wait.

I needed a physical, so I called a number of doctors' offices covered by my insurance. Unlike the others who either weren't taking new patients or weren't taking them for months, Dr. Golovan was able to get me in within ten days of my call. His staff is friendly, and unlike virtually every other doctor I've visited over the past decade, Dr. Golovan didn't subject me to the eight-minute shuffle--that game where overscheduled doctors make you feel as if you're imposing on them if you take up any more than eight minutes of their time. Instead, Dr. Golovan asked questions about my health. Then, he listened. Then, after I was done telling him about my concerns, we discussed them. I don't think I've ever had a doctor who was so genuinely interested in his patients' health and so dedicated to making sure that patients' concerns were taken care of. Also, the staff members I interacted with were extremely friendly and courteous. In sum, if you need a doctor in Cleveland, I would highly recommend visiting Dr. Golovan.

My family doctor, when growing up, was definitely the old-school how're-you-feeling-OK-here-are-some-pills-see-ya-later type. That's not the case here. I had to go to this location for an extremely specific reason, so I was left fairly choiceless in the matter. Upon entry, I have to give kudos to the front desk staff who promptly COVID-screened me and swiftly moved me to where I needed to be. I appreciated their desire to keep things moving. This location wasn't as hard to navigate as I anticipated but anytime I asked for directions, a hospital staff member was generally pretty helpful. My appointment ran on-time (which is a true Christmas miracle) and I didn't have any negative experiences. As others will point out, the free parking lot outside is astonishing considering this is West 25th Street. They do offer paid valet, but I got lucky with a free parking spot. However, keep in mind, their parking lot is just not big enough to support all the people that need spots. So if you're self-parking, be prepared to wait for a spot or just hope you get lucky like I did!

I saw the way he was talking to a young man after trying to find out how his mother was doing after being transported from another hospital. I witnessed the whole thing. The young man proceeded by calling the guard "an asshole" and honestly, I couldn't agree more. He was more than an asshole. You are not world class healthcare.
