I've gone here a handful of times or so in the last year, and I've been polite and courteous every…read moretime, and I get nothing but empty customer service. The first time I got a gas can and an axe before a hurricane , and I was questioned like it was an Law and Order episode. (Axe is great, I've been clearing dead trees ever since). Sure they ask me what I'm looking for, but when ever I've tried to explain, it's like I've somehow burdened them, and today got a sarcastic response. I'm sorry, when I buy flashlights, gas cans, seeds, light bulbs or yard tools, the bare minimum you could provide is a positive attitude, I'm simply someone taking advantage of the convenient location, but at this point I'm willing to drive a little further to avoid people bitter in their career path. I understand there's the regulars that either actively get supplies for their business or come in more , but I've been there as a customer, and it's not going to happen again because I never leave there feeling like I should have been there in the first place, so I guess it's a non-issue. Don't have what I'm looking for? Try looking in to where I could find it instead of making an unintelligent and sarcastic joke about you not carrying it. I had to tell them where I would look next.

I recently went in to pick up an item I saw on line that they carried. What a difference. The cashier greeted me as soon as I walked into the store and a man asked if I needed any help. This has never happened to me before and I've lived here 10 years. While the man was going way out of his way to find what I showed him I found on line. I quietly asked him if the store was under new management. He answered, "yes, me." I left with exactly what I needed and feeling like customer service is still practiced, at least at the Marstons Mills Aubuchon Hardware store.

My experience with Whitewood Kitchen, and especially with Gail-owner and designer, has given me a…read moremore profound appreciation for her talent and the guidance she offered. Gail listened, and then guided me thru the entire process of designing a kitchen, and three bathrooms. Her eye for color was phenomenal. She was always available. For me, choosing colors and finishes was disconcerting but Gail stepped in and made choosing less complicated, less scary for me, making suggestions as we went along. In addition, she helped with lighting and paint colors for the rest of the house. I would trust her with any project.

We had been in my house for about 16 years and had the original "builders special" cabinets, counter-tops and fixtures. Our remodel consisted of a complete gut of the kitchen/dining area and changing it's footprint. Gail and her team helped me choose new cabinets, surfaces, fixtures, appliances and hardware. No detail was too small, and they were very patient with me. Additionally I had some special requirements that needed to be addressed, such as low VOC products/cabinets, working with my busy schedule, etc. All of my concerns were met and addressed with attention to each detail. My kitchen was installed and completed in the time frame originally presented to me despite the fact that I added on some items at some very inconvenient moments (a bathroom). The quality of the materials is outstanding and the team was a joy to work with. My final product is a beautiful FUNCTIONAL kitchen that I couldn't be happier with!

Their designer (Tong) helped us with a plan to combine two small awkward rooms into one bathroom and worked within our budget to give us a much more functional space. Work started as scheduled with Steven as our PM and he kept us well informed along the way, handling any issues as they arose and minimizing disruption to the rest of the house. The NKB carpenters (Michael and Jorel) were excellent and kept things moving onsite along with some great subcontractors for plumbing, electrical and tile that Steven aggressively coordinated to ensure the project progressed quickly. The end result was better than we hoped and we only had one small change order for a late change we made to the plan. We truly appreciated the professionalism and flexibility of the whole NKB team from the design process with Tong through final payment with Adelya in Finance. They kept us on schedule and on budget with no surprises. We now have a beautiful bathroom that we will enjoy for years to come!

Saved me the expense of the differential part ($160 part). Good to know that they are not looking to sell you expensive parts that are not the problem. Trust in repair service is rare these days.
