Rounding up "farm stands on 6A near Yarmouth Port" during this, the Christmas Tree buying season…read more Tobey Farm's the grandaddy of the 6A farms, having been around and in business on 6A frontage for as long as I've been alive. We stopped there more in decades past when more of the produce was grown there, but over the years the store/visitor end of things has become more prominent and it's taken on more of a modern (and commercially sustainable) form. As far as price and quality of the produce, they're in a middle niche: not the organic quality and guarantee of Cape Cod Organic, but the selection is more reliable and the price sort of halfway between the grocery store level and the high end organic farm stuff. We had some disasters with green beans once a few years back (the insides had some horrible rot) that sort of deterred us from stopping in casually since, but I suspect that was anomolous. That said, it's not nearly as "local" as it once was. Worth a stop but they have been unable to woo us back as regulars, except during sweet corn season, where they have been getting good stuff from off-Cape (I think). All that said, they deserve a visit and your own evaluation just because they've been hanging on for so long and I'd like to see my own grandkids go see a farm my own grandparents used to take me to. 6A has too many antiques stores and not nearly enough farms. Christmas tree round up: mixed bag of imported trees for $40 and up. We couldn't find one to fit our stand so ended up taking a pass this year.

Every October this is my must-visit spot: I get my pumpkins and almost always a local jam or two…read morefor holidays gifts. Great mums, too. Highly recommended!
