Only open from early April 'til mid June, this is a great resource for the local gardener…read more Excellent products and a huge selection of trees, shrubs, flowers, herbs--you name it. The prices, are often half that of the big name store down the road. You provide your own transportation. Only the big box stores can beat their prices, but you will not find the excellent selection, nor the larger tree specimens that you find here. Last year, I bought several of their medium-sized (5- to 6-foot) Leyland cypress that are thriving. Also put in several varieties of lavender that are doing beautifully, some annuals, and some herbs. In early June, they reduce prices by about a third on leftover stock, and you can really get some bargains. But no guarantees that what you want will still be there. Only drawback I can think of is that the trees and larger shrubs don't usually have the tags that tell you mature height and recommended spacing. So you have to know--or just look it up online. It's well worth the cost savings. Oh, and not all the stock is there on the first day. It takes a few weeks for them to get in the full line of products. Looking forward to purchasing some more trees, shrubs and annuals this year.

They run an incredible business & we always find everything we need here! This past summer, my mom purchased a big lot of hydrangeas, lilacs, and ornamental grasses from Green Spot for our front yard. She also got some great advice from Joe about how to best take care of her hydrangeas - he has great tips & tricks! This winter, my mom and I purchased a bunch of holiday decor. We got wreaths, kissing balls, basket arrangements, a mini faux Christmas tree, and hand-tied bows. It was truly a one stop shop for all of our Christmas decor! One of the owners, Jim, helped me carry our goodies out to our car - it was such a pleasure to meet him and have a nice little chat :) We will continue to be frequent customers at Green Spot!

Just want to shout from the rooftops how wonderful this place is!…read more Today I stopped by for the first time this summer and found a plastic sort of used pot I wanted for a specific reason. I went to the counter to ask to buy it even though I knew it was not an item of their inventory. I was asked to show the salesperson where I found it, and as I showed her she said, "oh just take it, it's not worth anything and we have plenty of them, just take it!" That kind of understanding of the customer and her needs is the most valuable skill ! I shall be back tomorrow and from now on and I will be BuYIiNG! It's not particularly easy to find tucked down a dirt driveway in Rock Harbor. But once you make it down the driveway it's a pretty good sized place. However, the place seemed to lose its luster after the COVID pandemic. On one visit, I had a run-in with an officious staff member who may just have been having a bad day. This year, it we could not find what we wanted, and much of the annual stock was looking stressed. Tried again two weeks later and bought nothing. In the end, we found what we wanted at Friend's Marketplace, Agway and Bayberry Gardens. The latter is in Truro, has interesting plant varieties and a terrific staff. Hoping The Farm returns to its former glory next year.

The gal said, oh A**** does a good job, just a mistake. She completely blew it off. I have spent hundreds of dollars here over the years and wonder how much I was overcharged and didn't notice. Make sure you keep track of what they ring up. If one of their "good" employees doesn't know the difference between a perennial and an herb, what are the others charging you for?
