Nice Bistro, a stone throw away from my place.Great outdoor sitting, service is typical Parisian executed by well mannered Ladies. Good blend of artsy type of locals, with kids running around. Food is spot on at very reasonable prices, this has become one of my fave neighborhood hangouts...

Was hesitant to write a review about this place because I don't want it to become flooded with tourists but I think that would be unfair. This is possibly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. You will not see a single tourist and the FOH staff do not speak any English which just adds to the whole experience. The menu changes daily but typically they always have duck confit and rilletes. Order those two things.

We headed here our first evening in Paris as it was really close to our hotel, and another yelper had said we'd be the only tourists there, so off we went! Our waitress brought over a chalkboard with lots of lovely French sounding delights, very little of which we could understand and she couldn't speak much English. Thankfully a lady at the table next to us helped us out because we were getting nowhere fast... The food itself was excellent. I went for steak with caramelised shallots and roast potatoes and a desperado (who knew they were French?!) but getting that and not wine seemed to be a bit of an issue with the waitress, but I got there in the end! The portions were quite big and everything was really tasty. I got a creme brûlée too because, well, France. I'd highly recommend this place if you have a better understanding of French than we did, it felt like a place well loved by locals.

Beautiful confit du canard and roasted potatoes! we also ordered the steak and scalloped potatoes and it was also amazing. Highly recommend if you want some french classics! Price was quite cheaper than paris average, which made the meal even more worthwhile.

Family owned. Lots of regulars. Good meat quality, wines, baguette. I am from Paris and was pleasantly surprised by this spot. I'll be back. Highly recommend it.

our first sit down meal in Paris & was not disappointed in the least! Had 6 escargot but should have ordered a dozen.Grilled lamb excellent; not many options for my vegetarian daughter but she was happy with the ouef mayonnaise & scamming off my potatoes , green beans & creme brulee dessert :) Very reasonably priced & mere minutes from our apartment.

Good value, reliable french cuisine at a fair price, nice terrace. I would be a regular if I lived nearby.

Perhaps the bar used to share the kitchen with the restaurant upstairs, but this did not appear to be the case during our visit in September 2016. My husband, sister and I visited Verjus with the hopes of enjoying a bottle or two of wine as well as some heavy tapas. When I mentioned seeing the tapas menu the bartender got confused and said they only offer a small selection of cheese and charcuterie at the bar, but nothing cooked. We attempted to make a reservation at the restaurant upstairs, but unfortunately they were booked solid. We each ordered a glass of wine and split several plates of prosciutto and cheese at the bar. Everything was nice, but we were looking for dinner and the bar was a bit warmer than I would have preferred so after we finished our wine and cheese we ventured off elsewhere. This tiny wine bar is very charming spot to grab a glass of wine, but don't expect to find any tapas here.

Call in advance to make dinner reservations because we did not and the only opening was at 9:45pm. So we opted for the wine bar downstairs, which serves tapas. At first I was a little bummed about not being able to dine at the restaurant upstairs, but the wine bar was FANTASTIC! Here's what we ordered, with the best being at the top of the list. 1. The GNOCCHI was to die for...the pieces were small and ever-so-slightly crispy on the outside. 2. The SPICY FRIED CHICKEN (yes, we order manfood staples when my bf is with me) was so juicy on the inside yet crispy on the outside. The chicken was bursting with flavor. 3. The FLANK STEAK with CHIMICHURRI sauce was surprisingly tender and flavorful. 4. We also had the CELERY ROOT GYOZA. This was hands down the best food that we had in Paris. I can only imagine what the upstairs restaurant serves! The bartender was super cool and was helpful in recommending wine pairings with our food. She poured samples to make sure that we were happy with our wine selections. She also speaks perfectly good English if you're wondering! Thank you yelp for helping us pick out a fantastic restaurant to end our week in Paris. Merci beaucoup!

So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!
