When the store first opened service and inventory was much better. Went in yesterday waited 15-20 minutes in guns and ammo rang the bell for service? Someone heard the bell and called for help nobody ever showed up. I finally gave up waiting for someone found part of what I was looking for went to checkout told the girl there nobody showed up after she had called on p a . She said they must of been at lunch? This was at 3:00pm maybe at most 5 other customers in store. Called back today to ask about their price match policy was rudely told it was only with Tractor Supply and on specific items. read more

About 6 people working the front and when you ask for help they disperse like children. I asked one for help and they called for it but nothing. Staff is mostly friendly and the price are better than other feed stores in the metroplex.

This store has been bad since their grand opening. The first few months lots of employees, lots of help and good service. The shine and long dulled. This store has the worst customer service, lazy unfriendly employees, poor absent management and all around just horrible morale and service from employees. I have been there no less than 20 times, always a line to check out, always only one pay lane open, employees rude, on the phone, talking among themselves and treating customers like they are a bother. No howdy, thanks for shopping, can I help you, those are like forbidden words from an Atwood employee. Not sure how they stay in business, appears to be a high turnover in employees but the attitude of new employees are the same. Lack of caring, hate their job, being a warm body scanning codes. Unless I can't get something at Tractor supply or Home depot I am tried of being treated like a bother in this store. I would not recommend unless you just enjoy being treated like Gov treats people. read more

He followed up on a regular basis until I arrived. I traveled over 80 miles. His ability to tailor his customer service to my needs won me over. We live in a town between Gainesville and Wichita Falls and shop both stores. We also find the stores to be as different as daylight and dark. The Wichita Falls store is wonderfully stocked with merchandise while the Gainesville store is cluttered and constantly out of "sale" items. Another reviewer remarked at the poor customer service and surly attitude of the employees at the Gainesville store, I totally agree. Recently the chicks and other baby poultry were literally dropping dead from lack of attention. This was pointed out to the store manager who became incensed and rude and refused to place even a small fan to provide some ventilation. Recently a specific fan was placed on sale, when I asked about it, I was told they sold out and would not be available until next year and no rain checks allowed. Guess what, after the sale price expired, literally pallets of the fans appeared. WTH!!! The "turn over" in clerks and employees is amazing and equates to no one knowing where anything is located, this is very frustrating to customers. The store managers need a lesson in customer service and public relations ASAP! I hope this trend is reversed and management takes care of the problem soon! read more

Terrible customer experience. Whenever I go there all the cashiers are grumpy and not very helpful. There is never a person willing to assist you. I've been in there several times where store employees are just standing around talking to each other. None willing to assist customer. The gun department is a real disaster. I have seen up to 4 customers in the area that were waiting on someone for assistance. Several just walk out. Their sales are a joke. They almost always sell out (of never have in stock) items they advertise a sale on. Must have rang the bell a dozen times. They might as well just remove the bell since it's worthless. In addition, the sales people in the gun department are rude and have very little knowledge of the products they are selling. If I were the manager of that store I would fire every one of them and hire more talented people to run the gun department. My family and I will be taking out business elsewhere. Tractor supply may not have the volume of Atwoods, but the people are nice, and they ALWAYS have sale products in store and are willing to help their customers read more
