Most of the cost is NOT COVERED by my Dental insurance. On the bright side, I should have no problem achieving more than 3% of AGI and be able to deduct the huge Dental expense for tax year 2026. The Dental services are great quality and I even got a second opinion from a from another Dentist. I am very upset and disappointed with this practice. I went in specifically for what was advertised as a "FREE" Invisalign consultation, only to later discover that they had submitted a claim to my insurance. Because of that claim, when I went to my regular dentist for X-rays, I ended up having to pay out of pocket. Calling something a "free consultation" while billing a patient's insurance without making that clear upfront feels extremely misleading. I also strongly recommend consulting with an orthodontist if you are considering Invisalign. During my consultation, Dr. Ha immediately told me that I needed to have all of my wisdom teeth removed to make more room for my crowded front teeth and tried to refer me to another practice for the extractions. I was uncomfortable with such a significant recommendation, so I sought additional opinions from other orthodontists. None of the orthodontists I consulted told me that removing my wisdom teeth was necessary for my Invisalign treatment or that doing so would resolve the crowding issue. I can only speak from my own experience, but between the unexpected insurance claim and the significantly different treatment recommendations I received from other orthodontists, I completely lost confidence and trust in this practice.

Dr Lee chooses to go against all major guidelines and enforce his own policy denying pregnant women important dental care that they need. I find this to be a red flag, if he's uncomfortable doing a basic cleaning for someone who's pregnant, I wonder if he is truly confident in his skills as a dentist overall.

I've been on the fence for a while contemplating if I should write this review. I think Dr, D. is a…read moregood dentist but I have to warn customers that the ethics and compassion at this practice is lacking primarily due to their office manager Emy. I think she is hired intentionally to overbill customers and is without a doubt being compensated for this. I regret giving their practice a chance because this year of dental work with them has been a nightmare. 1st visit: Basic cleaning ended with Emy pitching me hard for laser gum treatment that is 100% uncovered by insurance. It was $250 out of pocket for less than a 20-minute procedure. I was suppose to have a follow up to show how well my gums healed but Emy skipped it because it would make no additional money. So I literally feel like I wasted money on a scam because there were no measurable results, or at the very least it was unnecessary. 2nd visit: After my cleaning, Emy trying to bill me additional copay. What happened was that I caught her enrolling me in some periodontal plan where she tried to get me and my insurance to pay for an additional annual deep cleaning. When I caught this and declined I absolutely sensed Emy was not happy. 3rd Visit: I needed prescriptions and treatment for a root canal infection, which apparently needed to remove the pulp. First warning was that they don't do this in house. The top recommendation they gave me was not covered by my insurance and would have cost me $2,950. I was in a lot of pain and they pushed hard for that option. I ended up going with their option 2 and it ended costing me $180 out of pocket with insurance, but I'm not certain if it was the best quality of work since my porcelain crown broke off and was damaged/unusable from the procedure. When I returned to Dr. D (embarrassingly with a missing a front tooth) they told me that my crown and post would not be covered by insurance and it would cost me $1,300 for the crown, $275 for the post, and even $150 for a temporary. They literally refused to help me unless I accepted the overcharge as I was awaiting awkwardly in the office. Fortunately, I didn't let their strategy of pain and embarrassment rush my decision. I ended up going out of my way to a dentist that I trusted. They didn't scam me and recommended that I redo the root canal in hopes of delaying an implant which may be inevitable for my younger age. I was charged $900 for the crown, $180 for the post, $0 for the temporary, and they even redid my root canal to add stability for $300 covered by insurance (which wasn't even suggested by Dr. D's office). If I had followed all of Emys suggestions, I would have paid $4,675 out of pocket and likely would have had more issues within a few years (giving another opportunity to make money from me while I suffer from pain again). Instead, I paid $ for more comprehensive treatment with another dentist which was obvious a huge difference. It's these kinds of terrible experiences that creates a ton of distrust with dentists. I recommend avoiding this practice, or at the very least be vigilant when they start pressuring with upselling. Make sure you check what they are billing your insurance, or it can come back to haunt you later down the road.
