Please do not hire this company. They start at a reasonable price then find all kinds of things…read morewrong and the price keep going up and up. They pressure you to sign a contract for the work and the work is subpar. It does not meet code or professional workmanship. They sat in my house for couple of hours until i signed despite the fact that i told them i had to check with my attorney and would let them know in the morning. They refused to leave. I should have called the police right then and there. I did contact the police later that week when i saw the results of the job. I also checked with city hall to see if they had pulled a permit as I was told by them that they had the inspector coming next week. This was after they finished the job and wanted payment. Lo and behold city hall said no permit was pulled and no inspection was ordered. Their names are Freddie and Matthew. The work was done by 2 gentlemen who do not speak English. I will be taking legal action on this matter to recoup what i paid since I have to have all the work completely redone and it has comprised the integrity of our 4 season room. I also just recently lost my husband and they preyed on that. Unfortunately, i was scammed. I repeat, do not use them.

Keller Waterproofing - Foundation crack in poured basement wall

Keller Waterproofing

Jim and his team at Keller Waterproofing exceeded our expectations on a recent basement project…read more While we had quotes from other local contractors, Jim's decades of experience shone through. We wanted a clean, safe, and dry basement - he talked options with us, and we ultimately went with a French drain, sump pump, and vapor barriers. His crews were clean, professional, and thorough. I cannot recommend Keller Waterproofing enough for any basement project - we have had so many people comment on the high quality of the work.

After meeting with three different basement waterproofing companies to compare plans and pricing,…read morewe ultimately chose Keller Waterproofing. While they were the most expensive option, they worked with us on the price, and their proposal was by far the most comprehensive--clearly reflecting the value behind the cost. Keller was the only company to address not just the interior drainage system and sump pump, but also the exterior downspouts and full-house drainage. They also recommended installing a vapor barrier from floor to ceiling, which no other company suggested. This thoughtful addition was aimed at eliminating odors and helping redirect water from any future cracking--an extra layer of protection we appreciated. Their warranty is advertised as a "lifetime" warranty, though it's technically a 15-year transferable warranty. Still, it's reassuring to know it can be passed along to future homeowners. Once the project began, they uncovered an unexpected issue with our foundation (not surprising given the quirks of our house). The remediation added a significant cost, but after discussing our financial situation, Keller generously reduced the additional charge by nearly 40%. Impressively, even with the added work, they finished the project three days ahead of schedule. Throughout the process, their team was professional and respectful of our space--covering all belongings to protect them from concrete dust. They even went above and beyond by repairing our front sidewalk after running drainage underneath it, leaving it in better condition than when they arrived. As for performance, we haven't had enough rain to truly test the system yet (and hopefully won't anytime soon), but based on garden hose testing, the sump and drainage systems are functioning as designed. The basement already feels noticeably less damp and musty.

Pioneer Basement Waterproofing - iBIS Switch - Reliable Sump pump switch

Pioneer Basement Waterproofing

We live at the top of a hill, and we've all heard water runs downhill so we shouldn't have a leaky…read morebasement problem, right? Ha! After watching the (ground level) window well in my front yard fill entirely with water one incredibly rainy day about three years ago when I happened to be in the "cellar," and then let go with all of the water seeping around the frame and down my wall... well I finally understood that damp & musty smell my basement always had. Btw, the spot is not directly under the window but off to the side which is why I always thought water was seeping in through the foundation on the side wall where the stain mostly is (water does move downhill haha). Pioneer Basement responded quickly, gave me several options and quotes, and made financing easy. We decided about two years ago to waterproof only part of the basement since that's the area that is usually damp. We also went with the thermal vapor wrap on that part of the wall, and added the dehumidifier which was optional but recommended. Completely solved our problem - and ended the musty scary haunted basement stink entirely. Fast forward to now. I'm again randomly in the basement (for an internet wiring issue) and notice the absolute faintest but-still-I'm-not-imagining-it damp smell. Yup, after another of the crazy rains we've had this year, and... not at a wall but once again about a foot away from another ground level basement window, a small puddle. Of course, it's at a spot without the drain, sump pump, vapor wrap we'd invested in for part of the basement. Once again, Pioneer Basement sent an estimator over within a day or two - polite, knowledgeable, and quick to deliver multiple quotes (finish the full perimeter, do a smaller portion, consider adding window enclosures to tie into the drainage system...) and financing options. This is a company that delivers a high quality critical product, with a great warranty, at a fair and equitable price. They offer exceptional customer service. Your basement will thank you for having them do your waterproofing. And you'll never need to be scared of opening that cellar door again.

Exceptionally poor, slow-to-no response in simply scheduling an appointment. Took the time off of…read morework only to receive a call just before the difficult-to-schedule appointment to inform that the appointment was cancelled, claiming the one person in the entire company who could do this work was out sick. They would not return the (steep, expensive, overpriced) deposit via the card they charged upon our request, instead saying they could send another person same-day as the appointment after all -- despite supposedly having only one staffer specializing in the particular work we had scheduled out sick (the things that make you go hmm...). Gut feeling told me not to trust their work at that point. The company being too cheap to pay the transaction fee to refund the card they charged for the deposit, instead they issued a refund check needing to be cashed at their specific bank. Absolute refusal to refund the card we paid the deposit with. We cashed the check same day, questioning whether the company had even enough cash on hand to refund us (not a joke). Instead of apologizing for the whole miserable ordeal as business and customer service etiquette would dictate, instead they demeaned us for becoming upset over some really seriously bad bad bad customer service.
