After meeting with three different basement waterproofing companies to compare plans and pricing, we ultimately chose Keller Waterproofing. While they were the most expensive option, they worked with us on the price, and their proposal was by far the most comprehensive--clearly reflecting the value behind the cost. Keller was the only company to address not just the interior drainage system and sump pump, but also the exterior downspouts and full-house drainage. They also recommended installing a vapor barrier from floor to ceiling, which no other company suggested. This thoughtful addition was aimed at eliminating odors and helping redirect water from any future cracking--an extra layer of protection we appreciated. Their warranty is advertised as a "lifetime" warranty, though it's technically a 15-year transferable warranty. Still, it's reassuring to know it can be passed along to future homeowners. Once the project began, they uncovered an unexpected issue with our foundation (not surprising given the quirks of our house). The remediation added a significant cost, but after discussing our financial situation, Keller generously reduced the additional charge by nearly 40%. Impressively, even with the added work, they finished the project three days ahead of schedule. Throughout the process, their team was professional and respectful of our space--covering all belongings to protect them from concrete dust. They even went above and beyond by repairing our front sidewalk after running drainage underneath it, leaving it in better condition than when they arrived. As for performance, we haven't had enough rain to truly test the system yet (and hopefully won't anytime soon), but based on garden hose testing, the sump and drainage systems are functioning as designed. The basement already feels noticeably less damp and musty. read more

Jim and his team at Keller Waterproofing exceeded our expectations on a recent basement project. While we had quotes from other local contractors, Jim's decades of experience shone through. We wanted a clean, safe, and dry basement - he talked options with us, and we ultimately went with a French drain, sump pump, and vapor barriers. His crews were clean, professional, and thorough. I cannot recommend Keller Waterproofing enough for any basement project - we have had so many people comment on the high quality of the work. read more

The basement in my duplex home in Bridgewater was always damp or wet. Keller did a superb job installing sub-floor drains and a new sump pump, as well as outside work to change my downspouts so they would route water away from the foundation. Keller also brought the columns in my basement floor up to code. Better yet, they did this while only my tenant was there. He reported that the whole work crew was very helpful and professional. Keller may not be the low-price bidder, but if you want a quality job, that is what they delivered to me. read more

We had basement water problems for years that were only partially addressed by an amateur, jerry-rigged sump pump system. Last year we finally decided to fix the problem and talked with three companies in the suburban Boston area. We decided to go with Keller based on Jim's diagnosis of the underlying issues and proposed solutions, which were a contrast compared to the cookie-cutter approaches suggested by the other companies. The work was completed quickly and professionally by a crew that knew what they were doing and who worked pretty much non-stop while on site. I've waited for almost a year before posting this review because I wanted to make it through the rainy season to ensure that the new system actually works. It does. The pools of water that would collect in three of the corners of the basement were non-existent this spring and the sump system worked quietly and efficiently. One small adjustment that needed to be made to the pump installation was performed willingly by the owner, validating their warranty service. We are now confident to finish the basement and turn it into usable, comfortable space. I recommend Keller to anybody suffering from a damp, leaky basement. read more

We had a water problem behind the walls of our basement. It turned out to be the result of water coming through crumbling window wells and a complicated foundation made of small rocks that could not be sealed. Jim's crew dug down along the foundation and poured a concrete wall to seal that side of our house. Then they rebuilt the window wells and installed a french drain. I highly recommend Keller Waterproofing and Foundation. Jim Keller is very knowledgeable and experienced. His crew was very friendly and respectful. They show up early and stay late - working hard all day! There was good communication on what turned out to be an unexpectedly complicated job. We're very satisfied with the top-knotch quality of their work! read more

I had called Keller because we thought that we needed foundation repair, due to all of the water in our basement. They called back almost immediately! I spoke with Julia. She is absolutely AWESOME!! She asked if it was coming from an inside or outside wall? I informed her that it was an inside wall between the laundry room and the family room. She had asked if we had checked sround the washer and there was none. I then looked near the furnace and the water heater. Low and behold, it was the water heater! I can't believe how wonderful and helpful she was. I then explained to her how we had called Erickson Foundation. They had sent someone out. He never bothered to look around or lift up the carpet and roped us into siginig up for $20,000 worth of foundation work that we don't need. With that, they wouldn't even be able to fix it until OCTOBER! Thank you Julia and Keller Waterproofing. I will highly recommend you. read more

The proof is in the outcome - our basement and our back yard are dry after this weekend's day of rain, all thanks to Keller Waterproofing. Our home sits on a high water table. We have two sump pumps that have been running almost continuously since we moved in. Turning them off even briefly leads to noticeable water accumulating in the pump wells and even our radon mitigation system. When in use, the pumps discharge enough water that we effectively had a pond in our back yard - and that was after we had the prior waterproofing company move the discharge further into the yard to avoid the water coming back into our basement through the window wells. The Keller team diagnosed our need and recommended a holistic solution - dry well, new piping from the sump pumps and the downspouts, and new sump pumps. They worked diligently to do the work in our yard, getting a big job done in just a few days. They were friendly, patient when explaining the situation to us, and thorough in their work. Again, the results speak for themselves. The newer sump pumps are running less frequently. There is no standing water in our yard, despite a day of constant rain. We have a dry property and peace of mind. I would recommend Keller Waterproofing to anyone with waterproofing needs, especially ones that are complex or challenging. Thank you, Keller team! read more

After a few years in our home we started to see water in our basement after heavier storms. Jim was able to devise an exterior water drainage solution that has completely solved the problem. Communication was great throughout the project and Jim was also able to push the our work ahead in his schedule due to some specific timelines we had. I would definitely recommend. read more

The summer rains brought the need to address the interior (basement) and exterior (foundation) of our house to waterproof our 1/2 finished basement. Jim Keller provided a comprehensive plan that was tailored to ensure that we would no longer have water issues. He gave detailed answers to all of our (many) questions from start to finish. And after we committed to the project, he stayed on schedule and budget. Jim and his team are friendly and keep the work site clean and safe. We highly recommend Jim Keller. read more

I am grateful to Keller Water Proofing for making it possible to convert my basement into an accessory dwelling unit (in-law apartment). After investing over $100,000, I had stopped the job because the basement was taking in water. Then I wasted time and money on other solutions: gutter repair, gutter reconfiguration and two dry wells. I was about to walk away when I heard about Keller. So glad! Thank you, Keller! read more

Our basement had a flooding issue during a heavy rain season, so we contracted with two different companies that claimed they could solve the problem. Finally we contacted Keller Waterproofing and they corrected all the previous work done, and provided the long term solution. Jim Kellar came out today to assess two issues for me. A foundation crack and a damp wall in my garage. He looked everything over and told me to leave everything alone, nothing needed to be done. I think that shows his integrity and honesty- I'll call if I need him in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing his services. Ray G. Melrose, MA read more

Original contract was not followed. The price was very high but the design using pipes for a gravity feed system to divert water was good. My neighbor did his own system of moving water away from the hill around his house. Keller came in and then encountered rocks and redesigned the plan to have a single sump pump located outside. The final cost was over $15,000! Most companies can put in a sump pump for a few thousand. Horrible planning. Team arrives on random schedule. The company has over 200 projects running and they can not remember one from another. They also leave equipment at your house for extended periods of time. My project was to last one week and ended up being over a month before I got them to finish. However, on a good note. The water is diverted from the house by an outdoor pump that I now have to maintain. Not what I wanted. read more

We've had water problems in our basement for a very long time. I have a sump pump but it was getting old and occasionally would stop working. In one area the water in the basement couldn't get to the sump pump and frequently I'd be pumping it out of my basement. Got tired of dong that and called Keller Waterproofing. They came in and within 2 days they dug out a trench inside the basement and put their waterproofing system in. they also put a new pump with battery backup in case of power outages. This year we have had record falling rains and I want everyone out there to know that we have not had a "Drop" of water in my basement since they put their system in. Absolutely Tremendous job and I can't say enough about them... Every time it rains I look at my basement and say "Get Keller for your Cellar". Highly recommend them. Great job no issues and if you have water in your basement don't delay any longer.... Get Keller Waterproofing. read more

Jim and his team were total professionals. I have had a lingering window well issue due to high water table and he was quickly able to put together a solution that would solve the problem for me. Additionally, he offers lifetime guarantee on the work. After procrastinating for several years and becoming accustomed to feeling some mild dread whenever forecasts predicted rain totals of any significance, I decided to go with Keller for installation of perimeter drains. I have no regrets with my choice to finally make the decision to get the work done, and no regrets about choosing Keller as the company to do the work. Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous, including during the original estimates and also the work crew. The project was completed in a very timely manner and was the work done was in line with the plan, both in terms of the work that was done and the price estimate. Since the work was completed, there have been several intense storms coming through town to put their work to the test, I've seen not a drop of water in the basement. My only regret is having put up with the leaky basement for so many years + not acting on a solution sooner. read more

These guys are the real deal. My old house, built in 1911, has always had water penetration in the basement - seeping up from the bottom of the concrete floor, coming in from the corners - a huge, ongoing problem. They knew exactly what to do, got to work, and did it. It's been a year and a half since they completed the job (full interior perimeter drain, pump, & backup pump with battery) and my basement has been bone dry ever since. I did not think this was even possible. I am writing this during the n'oreaster of March 2018. I have a new basement floor installed and I do not worry one bit anymore about water in my basement. I am so grateful for what a professional job they did. Thank you!! read more

We have a fairly new home, 3 years old, that developed several cracks in the foundation. We wanted to get them repaired before water started coming in although we were a little apprehensive about working on our newer foundation. I called several foundation repair companies who told me that they repair the cracks only from the inside, not the outside. This seemed odd to me since I felt the elements could still get in from the outside and widen the cracks again. I was also given quotes over the phone, a couple without even sending pictures. When I called Keller Waterproofing, Jim Keller made an appointment to come out and actually look at the foundation. He was very professional and thorough making a diagram detailing what needed to be fixed . He explained everything informing me that they would dig down to the base of the foundation, repair the cracks and apply a waterproofing material. They would also seal the cracks from the inside. He also suggested installing pop emitters to carry the water from the downspouts through buried pvc pipes away from the house. Jim stayed in touch with updates on when we could expect the work to begin. The crew that arrived were prompt and very professional. They worked steadily digging everything out by hand and completing the repairs as explained. They were very careful about putting the landscaping back the way it was including removing and replacing cobblestones on our patio. They finished sooner than expected and cleaned up so well that you couldn't even tell they were there. All in all, they did an Excellent job from the first phone call to our last in which Jim asked if we were satisfied with the work. Great company to deal with (hard to find these days) and great work!! read more

We had a pool installed which caused our yard to pitch toward our house. This resulted in water from the ground and the roof to build up around my foundation and into my basement. I called Keller Waterproofing to resolve the issue; they were great. Jim spent over an hour surveying my property. When he was done, he gave me a detailed diagram and thoroughly explained what needed to be done to eliminate the water from my foundation. We choose Keller to do the work and scheduled the project. Keller's team showed up on time and knew exactly what had to be done. The Keller team did quality work and I was impressed by how fast and efficient they worked. They went above and beyond to ensure that we would not have any more problems. We were extremely pleased with the job Jim Keller and his team did for us. Keller Waterproofing made my life so much better. My house is located in an area with a high water table. I had two sump pumps pushing water away from my house daily (sometimes every 2 minutes!) After seeing water seeping into my lower level living area, I met with a local contractor that stated he had a guaranteed waterproofing system and could fix the issue in 1-2 weeks. Worst hire of my life! The work took 4 months, the owner was a jerk, and the problem got worse. I searched the state for a waterproofing company that had a focus on waterproofing and found Keller. Ryan Keller met with me in person, we discussed the issues, and walked through the exterior and interior of my property. Ryan spent an hour measuring, inspecting, and writing up a diagram and quote for the work. After reviewing the plan and learning about their lifetime guarantee, I hired Keller Waterproofing. On day one, Jim, Ryan and crew showed up on time (a 2 hour drive from my house) and got to work. The team was awesome. The workers were respectful, Jim and Ryan communicated with me along the way, and they worked harder than any contractors I have ever hired. They dug a trench around the exterior of the foundation, installed a membrane system, channeled water to a central location, and strategically placed a pumping system under my slab to move the water. The results were better than I could have imagined. The water no longer seeped in, the original pumps no longer turn on, and the system they installed (interior and exterior) keep water away from my property. Before the work, my wife and I were always nervous about leaving the house for an extended period of time. We now can leave for extended periods with a piece of mind that our house will not flood. Additionally, the Kellers documented their work and I was able to win a court decision in small claims court that resulted in the first contractor paying me back. I would highly recommend Keller Waterproofing to anyone with water issues or foundation problems. read more

Our home was built in '94 - Eighteen 94, that is, located in a former flood plain for a river. While the land has been filled, the river still flows underground - and seemingly right through our cellar - especially during the wet seasons (spring thaw, Summer hurricanes). The cellar was original to the house: packed dirt floor, fieldstone walls, with the resulting dampness causing corrosion in our heating systems and hot water heaters - drastically shortening their lifespans. We researched multiple waterproofing companies, collecting bids from all. Keller Waterproofing was able to provide a complete solution by installing a gravity-fed French drain in the perimeter of the cellar which directed the ground water to a sump pump that connected to a dry well in the back yard. (In our area it is illegal to pump the water into the public sewer system, since this can work as a 2-way street - allowing raw sewage to back up into the home.) Cement was poured for the walls and floor, and a PVC 'skin' was attached to the walls to further waterproof the cellar. This solution alone was awesome - but wait, there's more! To re-direct the rainwater from the downspouts of a closely neighboring house, Keller Waterproofing poured a berm along our property line as a foundation for our chain-link fence. We also excavated 4 catch basins with French drains under our walkway that fed into the same dry well in the back yard. To top it off, they laid a brick path from our front gate to the back yard that is the talk of the neighborhood. We are now referred to as 'the house with the beautiful brickwork' ....instead of the house with the flooded cellar. We are more than pleased with the work done by Keller Waterproofing. Mr. Keller and his Crew are knowledgeable, professional, skilled - and courteous (the neighbors still talk to us!). They cleaned up all the debris at the jobsite at the end of every day and upon completion of the job (which was prodigious!) ...and Mr. Keller, we have already thought up a few more projects for you and your Team - we'll be in touch! Ryan and his crew worked very hard to make sure every aspect of the project was perfect! After seeing the trenches they dug, it is amazing to look at our yard now and not see any evidence of them being there.
