The sales person after discussing all the options recommended before I replace the unit, to have it evaluated. Kyle from Samson and Sons came out and performed a mirid of tests both electrical and mechanical including pressure testing. He found a couple of corroded wires which he replaced at no additional charge and also made sure that the evaporator condensate drain line was clear and flowing properly. In the end he recommended that we not replace the unit as it was running well within manufacturers specifications. He recommended that we run it until it dies. As a company who is in the business of selling new HVAC systems they had every motivation to recommend a replacement but did not. When my unit does die, I will only purchase its replacement from Samson and Sons!

Brenovations HVAC is literally "the worst" AC company we have ever delt with. Being an AZ resident,…read morewe get approximately annual AC services, so we have LOTS of satisfactory services in the past. The HVAC Tech was called out to replace a motor, a rather simple service. The Tech failed us on this service in the following ways: left the wires exposed (in violation of the company's own policy), swapped the motor in a way that left the threaded bolts banging against the fan blades (potentially damaging the blades), removed/discarded the HVAC cap without the home owner's permission, & was abrupt, completely disregarding our concerns about the safety of exposed wires in an area adjacent the kids' backyard playground. The Tech came out several times to fix his mistakes, but then became obstinate. After going round and round with Brenovations' management and eventually the owner, they also gave up because the Tech absolutely refused to come back. So unless you want service from a company that: fixes HVACs in a way that could cause more damage, violates its own policy, takes property off the job site without the home owners' permission, disregards safety concerns of children, and has no backbone to stand up to their own techs, then we suggest you stay far away from Brenovations HVAC. To make matters worse, Brenovations HVAC has completely given up on the service: leaving us stuck where we started with an incomplete job and hazardous situation. After all the work, frustration, and lost hours, we are nowhere closer to resolving the failure of the original service, making Brenovations literally "the worst" AC company.

We decided to obtain a second quote and Daniel from Hamstra spent 3 hours checking the systems and concluded it was in good working condition. We just signed up for a service plan with Hamstra and will be using them in the future. In our opinion the consumer needs to beware of upselling and if you question a quote obtain a second opinion.

Dealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare…read more Replaced my whole AC. Was at my house from 8am to almost 10pm. My husband had ti take off work and I had to leave work early because my husband had an appointment. A technician came out with an apprentice. The AC never actually turned on and they had to come out the next day because things outside weren't properly installed. The following Monday (exactly 1 week later), we woke up and the AC wasn't working again. Monday was also Labor Day so naturally, it took my husband 9 calls to get in contact with someone even though this company claims to be 24/7. The issue was, the thermostat wasn't properly installed which turned the whole system off. They didn't have another thermostat to give us, so they took reinstalled our old ones which temporarily fixed the issues. Next day, AC wasn't working again. This time it was a draining issue in the attic -my husband went up in the attic and drained it manically. Technician came out, actually broke it more (which we found out the next day) and left. This technician was at my house till 7-8 at night. Next day, AC wasn't working again. Still a drowning issue. My husband continued to manually drain it himself and took a video of the broke piping that wasn't previously broken. No technicians can come out till the following day. Thursday now, I leave work early for the technicians that are supposed to come 12-2... guess what, no one does. 2:15, I call for an update, 3:30 I call for an update. Technician finally shows up at about 530 -so again, I had to take off of work for no reason. Technician comes out, my husband shows him the video and guess what? THEY DONT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT. So I waited all day for absolutely nothing. Technicians are supposed to come back out today so we'll see if this finally gets resolved. I'm not hopeful. Update: Company never called me to notify me when someone was going to come out like they said they would which annoying. When the technician came out, he had the correct fittings for the piping but he forgot a thermostat so he had to go get one at their store so that added another hour. All the technicians that have come out have been very nice. But that doesn't actually fix my AC. I feel completely ripped off. They replaced my whole system, just for it to take like 4-5 other visits to work . It feels like they're stealing our money. They never even give us the courtesy of calling to let us know when someone will be at the house if they're running late -they just expect us to be able to wait all day. Terrible customer service. Me and my husband are both active duty military so luckily we don't lose any money when we need to leave work early for these things but guess what? A lot of people do lose their income when they aren't actually at work. This company seems to have no sense urgency or caring of others to actually prioritize them and their time At this point, I want/expect a conversation with an owner or manager. I requested that one the phone and the woman said she'd forward me call to someone.. still haven't gotten anything from anyone. It's like they don't actually care. I'd like to know the average amount of apts it typically takes to install someones AC correctly and if it's always so many. I'd also like a discount because all of the issues we've run into have been absolutely ridiculous.

The technician and the office informed us they would be getting a compressor through American Home Shield and install as soon as it came in, which should be within 3 to 5 business days. On day 5, I reached out to them to ask when they would be installing. They informed me that they had turning the repair back over to home shield the day before. They rudely explained to us that it was not their job to inform us, American Home Shield had to reach out to us. Again, they made this decision after 6 total days. The office manager explained that they did not want to take the job because they do not get paid enough by American Home Shield to replace compressors and that they get unfavorable scoring from home shield if they take on too many big jobs like this from them. The lack of integrity and professionalism from this company is unfathomable. Temperatures in our area had climbed over 100° and this company avoided the repair because they could not talk us into buying a brand new system. They also unwired our system and left it that way so the next company that came out could not properly analyze the problem. Avoid them at all cost.
