My original review was a 3-star review, which I completed while sitting in the waiting room. It reflected my honest experience as a patient. After my appointment with Jessica--who has always been fantastic--I opened the door of the exam room and the owner was standing there blocking my way, she said flatly and rudely "thanks for leaving us a 3 star review" I was taken back because it was not only rude and unprofessional but I didn't expect to be ambushed while at the dr's. Jessica rushed from the room, and the owner closed the door behind her as she walked in blocking me from leaving the room and began criticizing me for leaving it. Throughout the conversation (wasn't much of a conversation as she wouldn't allow me to speak and she blocked me from leaving the room)I felt I was not given an opportunity to explain my perspective, as she repeatedly spoke over me whenever I tried to respond. She explained how much she and her staff do for their patients, including caring for cancer patients, and said that I didn't know everything they do throughout the day. I appreciate and respect the work healthcare providers do, and I have no doubt they help many people. However, none of that changes my personal experience as a patient. My original review acknowledged that I received good care while also pointing out a recurring issue with wait times. In my five visits, I was seen approximately 15-30 minutes after my scheduled appointment every time. I understand that delays happen and that doctors sometimes need to spend extra time with patients. My point was simply that patients' time is valuable as well, and consistent delays are worth mentioning in an honest review. When I told the owner that, because of our interaction, I would not be returning to the practice, her response was simply, "Good." Jessica continues to be an excellent provider. She is knowledgeable, personable, and has always treated me with kindness and professionalism. Unfortunately, my interaction with the owner overshadowed those positive experiences. I believe patients should be able to leave respectful, honest feedback--both positive and constructive--without feeling confronted or made to feel guilty for sharing their experience. For reference, here is my original review: "I've received great care from the staff when I've been seen. However, in my five visits, I have been called back approximately 15-30 minutes after my scheduled appointment every time. I understand that patients can run late and that providers need to spend the necessary time with each patient to provide quality care. Update: I made an appointment at a different dermatologist, went to my appointment, showed them exactly what I showed this dr, they removed them In the SAME appointment like I asked and after biopsy they came back pre cancerous. I'm glad I didn't listen to this office and wait/make more appointments with them. Secondly, this had nothing to do with insurance "dictating" what they were willing to do at my appointment. I was willing to pay out of pocket. I have been to MANY derm appointments and have never had this experience. read more

This office has seriously changed my life in a single month. I went in with a bad flare of rosacea that I didn't know I had. My forehead was blistering, my skin was extremely inflamed, my eye balls were bloodshot 24/7, and my skin was flaking all over. It had been years since my skin had tolerated anything other than Vaseline and water and I was literally miserable. I went in desperate for help and Christina came through for me! She recommended affordable products for me that I could get at the drug store or amazon and educated me on what was going on with my skin. I came here to get a facial and join the bomb club for $99. The Hispanic girl who's a MASTER ESTHETICIAN took me in (she has blonde hair and says she doesn't speak Spanish even though she looks like she just came from Guatemala). I explained my concerns and asked which facial she recommended. She cut me off and told me I already signed up for a specific facial and that's it. I told her I made an appointment hoping for her recommendation and once again she cut me and told me I was getting what I signed up for (even though I only made an appointment for a facial but not an specific one). Throughout the process she was rushing, being rude by cutting me off and not letting me voice my skin concerns. She didn't care about educating me or giving me recommendations. If I could give zero stars, I would. This is going to be a long review, but I encourage you to read it before you schedule with Atomic Dermatology. This dermatologist was recommended to me by my trusted dermatologist for insurance purposes (I needed help removing some skin tags and the receptionist at Atomic told me that insurance would cover skin tags - but apparently it doesn't). I'll start by saying I have an anxiety disorder (and I let them know) and I was particularly anxious over this appointment because skin cancer is a concern in my family. When Vicki walked in and asked how I was doing, I immediately told her I was anxious just so she would know. Vicki very quickly glanced at my skin and asked if I was diabetic. I said no and she quickly, and rudely, said "you will be in 5 years". Um, WHAT?! She went on to say that skin tags are "God's way" of saying I need to make a drastic change, such as cutting carbs, or I will be diabetic. She quickly went on to remove a wart that I had on my face without explaining anything. This was TWO weeks ago and the pain and the bruise barely went away. It would have been nice to know what to expect. Given that I have anxiety, I wanted to make a doctors appointment as soon as I could because she scared me. My doctor wasn't available so I was advised to go to Urgent Care for testing just to ease my mind. All THREE medical professionals (the Nurse, the Doctor, and the Phlebotomist) that I told this story to were shocked that a dermatologist said this to me in such a rude and blunt way, and without any tests to back up a bold statement. Finally, today I got to see my PCP and when I told the nurse this story, she immediately asked if the dermatologist was Vicki and when I confirmed, she let me know I was not the only person she's seen recently who was told the same thing by Vicki and just as scared. All I'm saying (and my doctor said the exact same thing to me today) is that there are more professional and empathetic ways to point out health concerns to a patient, especially when you haven't done any tests to back up your theory. Especially when the patient is anxious. Skin tags can be a sign of insulin resistance but sometimes, skin tags are just skin tags. I'm happy to report that my A1C came back just fine. I would also like to note that after I called to cancel my follow up appointment with Vicki (this was done by voicemail since Atomic didn't answer, and I voiced my concerns regarding the last visit), Vicki actually called me back and said "I understand you had some misunderstanding about your visit", then asked that I call her back to make me feel better. I didn't, though, because what did I misunderstand? I would not recommend this dermatologist at all. read more

I met Vicki at the Cancer Center and immediately felt the joy she radiates. This woman is on fire, a professional that knows her stuff. I also, enjoy treatments in the Bomb Shelter, the facial treatments from Tammy are are very affective, and so relaxing. For me, the cost is low considering all the benefits I receive. Vicki, Tammy, and the whole staff have always acted well-qualified with consistent professionalism, plus the extra cheerful environment. I would and have recommend Atomic Dermatology. I was pretty sure what I had on my back was a squamous cell carcinoma. I got a referral to Atomic Dermatology and called them on Monday March 21st 2022 and they could get me in on Wednesday the 23rd. I am a new patient and this is how quick I got in. I was very impressed and I must say, they were wonderful. The doctor took it off to send it in and will call me with results. I was referred by my primary for a unknown skin condition and the nurse acted more like a professional than the actual Doctor did. The doctor could not figure it out so instead she shamed me about shower products I use. She took skin samples that weren't a part of the symptoms and completely dismissed the samples I had for her. Worst experience I've ever had with a health care professional. The Dr. was absolutely no help whatsoever and just recommended high priced products instead of addressing my issue. read more

I really wanted to love this office. Convenient location. Lots of offered services and I love supporting an ARNP practice. However when I went to this office it was a non mask wearing office. The front office person did not have a mask on, Vicki the practitioner did not wear a mask, nor did the medical student from PNW University. Vicki boasted about being out and not wearing a mask. Very disappointed. Only one in the office when I arrived, no one when I left yet Dr. Haines could not have gotten rid of me faster. I wondered if she realized she is actually in a sales oriented business. The idea is to spend time with a patient, answer questions and advise to further procedures that she recommends could help her patient. I was very interested in several and she was on her feet with her hand on the door without giving me any time. I ended up going all the way to Seattle to get four different procedures that I wanted closer to home. I just have to say I saw Marie's review and I think she must have had the wrong person or didn't communicate her needs with Vicky, because in my experience as well as the many friends and family that I have recommended to Atomic Dermatology and Vicky Haines, she is a one of a kind dr. Who will go above and beyond for anyone in her office. My story is a long one, I have been on disability and Medicare and no other Drs or specialists could find the answers to my 3 years of incredible suffering from hives that varied from horrible to all over and unbearable and I credit Vicky for giving me my life back. It's not just that though, she did something not very many Drs do she took the time to make me feel like I was real person, she talked to me like I was just as important as one of her rich customers coming in for a beauty procedure. Let me start this review off by saying I wish I could give more than five stars, so let's just say this is 5+. Dr. Vicky Haines is literally my favorite doctor ever! I have been seeing her now for nearly 5 years. She and her staff are incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating. I have always been able to get in for any appointment quickly. I know that she excepts many, if not all insurance types. She does everything pertaining to dermatology and skin care for me from traditional full body scans, treatment of eczema and psoriasis to cosmetic procedures. I get all of my fillers, Botox, chemical peels, derma planing, medical grade facials, photo facials, laser hair removal, etc done in her office. The prices for elective cosmetic treatments are a fraction of what I was paying in Seattle!... I'm nearly 40 and people just assume I'm 30. I have had random strangers stop me to ask what my skin care regimen is numerous times. By selecting a handful of elective treatments that I have done over the last year, I now feel so confident in the health and beauty of my skin that I don't wear any make up! Every time that I see Dr. Haines she hugs me, asks me how I've been, how my children are, she is so warm and inviting. Her positive attitude is amazing and even more amazing is that her goal is to make each of her patient's feel healthy and beautiful. I have referred several people and every person I know who has been treated by Dr. Haines or her Medi-spa staff have been incredibly pleased with their experience(s). I was hoping that this would be a great place that I could start going to with skin issues. I started off with an appointment for my 5 year old and his eczema issues. We sat in the room for close to 30+ minutes, my son and I even "joked" about how the motion lights went off while we were in there because we had been in there so long. Once we finally saw someone, it was a less than 5 min conversation. No looking at his skin to confirm it was in fact eczema. Already in their mind, I'm speculating, it was already made up on what the issues were. This visit could have been performed over a virtual visit that's how impersonal it was. All I got out of this was the prescription needed for a cream and a blood test order, where I will take my results to someone else that will treat us like we aren't wasting their time. The prescription I was told would be sent to my pharmacy within 2 hours, 8 hours later, I go to the pharmacy to find out that in fact, it was never sent over. I call and leave a message about this and ask to be called back. Never receive a call and have to call the office the next day. The person on the other line tells me the prescription was sent in the evening before and no call was necessary, even though I asked for a call back. I am really disappointed because this place is so close to my house and two reviews seemed so promising. Won't be recommending place to family and friends. read more

I don't know about you, but I have never looked forward to attending Dr Appts. That all changed once I went to see Dr. Vickie Haines. She walks in the door and you feel an instant burst of positive energy and an effervescence that buoys you up! She is attentive, quick-witted, funny as all get-out and very thorough. She inspires instant confidence and when your appt is over, you wish you could sit down with her for coffee and a chat sesh. She may run behind sometimes, but when she's with you, you feel like the only patient in the whole place. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I've never felt so comfortable "getting naked" with a Dr before. I would travel quite a distance just to remain her patient. Go see Vickie-she is truly the best around and she will brighten your day. I have not seen any results so far, the treatment I did was ultherapy on my whole face, still waiting but I believe in the first 3-4 months I should've seen a difference and yet I have not. Very expensive, and the treatment was very painful, She had to stop frequently due to pain. I don't think I will try another treatment here. read more

I will start off by saying our first appointment went amazing. Vicki was a delight and very down to earth. She related to us on a personal level and was understanding. However, today, a year later, we took our son in to request labs to have him retested for allergies as she had informed us at our first appointment we could have him retested in 6 months or a year and really whenever we wanted to. Vicki was a totally different person today. She started with telling us allergies will not change until 5-10 years and most likely nothing has changed. Right after, she commented on our sons weight and stated he was too big for his age and is at risk of type 2 diabetes. First of all we were informed by her we could have our son retested 6-12 months later to check for any changes. Second, we came to this establishment regarding allergies not my sons weight; his pediatrician has no concerns and that was not our concern coming in. She then asked when did he last experience a rash due to allergies. We responded that he has not had any reactions to his food allergies. Mainly because he have taken all serious allergies out of his diet which include eggs, dairy, and all nuts and give him citerizine daily. With attitude she asked, "Then what do you feed him." Well dietician, there are foods out there that are dairy free, nut free, and egg free. It's difficult and expensive but we will do what we have to for our sons safety. Well she then began to express how parents don't know that the "healthy foods" they feed their kids are still bad. And went on to say her kids only eat four foods and never tried soda or juice. Well I'm sorry our kid can't be just like yours. She then changed her tune after explaining why Asians can eat rice all day and stay skinny. She then stated we are doing a good job and to continue with what we are doing. It did appear she was having a rough day. However, she is expected to be professional and communicate her "concerns" in a family friendly manner. I don't know what she thought about us as parents but we are educated and have careers in the mental health field and we certainly could have referred her to a good therapist and medication suggestions because for her age no one needs to put up with any of that..... read more
