Better longboxes are on the tables with some budget longboxes located on the floor. The good selection of toys and collectables just makes Comics World even more well-rounded. This might be the best kept secret in the southern Pennsylvania comic book shop scene and I would absolutely return here.

This store is supposed to be one of the smallest in the chain, but doesn't show it. Large selection of books, comics, DVD/Blu-ray's, and toys/collectables. If you don't know about 2nd & Charles, most of the items are used trade-ins from other customers, so you can never be sure what will be in stock. We had several questions about prices of items behind the counter which were quickly answered and the employees were helpful. Had a good selection of Manga but a smaller selection of Anime DVD/Blu-ray's. A large selection of comic longboxes were available, but per other 2nd & Charles their organization was not the best. Overall, store was clean and organized with an on-par selection of items compared to other stores. I would return here again.

The store is quite large and has everything you could ask for when it comes to comics, graphic novels, manga, miniatures, trading card games, board games and a great selection of supplies. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. We had a question about one of the rare sealed Pokémon boxes from the base set and the person was extremely helpful in providing information and showing us the box. If you like comics or are just starting they are very friendly and willing to help. The really neat thing is that they offer a subscription service that you can manage online and just come in and pick up your comics. One of the best ways of you are looking to explore new comics or are not sure is to just ask and explain what you like, everyone is really able to provide recommendations and point you in some direction. I was coming back into town off a 3 day drive from Colorado and since my route took me through Hagerstown I figured I'd stop over at this location. My last stop was three hours prior so I desperately needed to use the bathroom when I arrived. Wonder Book doesn't have a public bathroom, so they directed me to Aldi. That's fine, I went over and came back to start browsing. My elderly mom was with me and didn't hear the note about no public restrooms, so she asked again and explained we'd been driving for hours from Colorado the man at the counter explained she'd need to go to Aldi. She walked out with some frustration while I continued browsing and as the door shut behind her another employee came up the aisle and said, "Your loss, go back there then." He apparently didn't realize we were together or didn't see me. I moved out of the aisle and said, "Excuse me?" asking him to repeat what he'd just said. He started backpedaling and said, "Oh no, no I meant I want to GO to Colorado! It's so pretty there, I want to go there!" I know what I heard. I've spent thousands over the years at Wonder Book in all three stores and online. I thought it was a great environment with chill staff but I saw its true colors today and I won't be back. S**talking an elderly person who literally just needed to use a bathroom is truly awful. From now on I'll be heading to Manassas which is just as close with a much cheaper, and much much friendlier, alternative.
